I grew up tough , gangs around me , killings in central LA , I never have in, I went to school, got my education and eventually went to college. Now I have a decent job and do things right. Just because you grow up in a bad area does not mean you have to be in a gang or act like a gangster. I saw all my neighbors end up in jail. This guy still runs with a gun. Let it go man. What the hell your fighting. Be a family man and work .

@@curlzag Good point Angie. There is so much struggle in ABQ. I met some of the best people while living there. It sucks that the area is 'depressed.' The struggle is real there, but the weather and people are great. Hollywood comes to make movies and TV shows, but they don't do anything to help the area they are using. I've never seen such a place in need, and I am from Chicago.

What's up to all the Raza out there! No matter where you grew up, us Mexicans were raised the same, gangs and street life were/are always there. It depends on what you do after you open your eyes... plus, we all have that Last Supper image over the dining room table, haha.
Still remember being in high school and my friends wanted me to be part of their gang, and I had to get jumped in. I stopped right there, thought about it for a sec. "I gotta get my ass kicked first, then I can join?"

Grew up in the hood thinking that type of like was cool fortunately we moved now I am half way to getting my Engineering degree

My husband lived a ver similar life before I met him. He changed when he was sent to prison for 8 years. He gave up the lifestyle immediately leaving prison. He is the most amazing husband, father, hard working, and loving. People can change. Don’t give up the fight!

I did county time in northern NM with two or three dudes that lived in ABQ and I heard about the J M in South Valley & the war zone. Good storytelling about life in the outs to pass the time inside.

He got scared Straight in Juarez at 18; he's like I start from the bottom & Work my way back up. He truly took advantage of his duel Citizenship.

Lived in Juarez for 6 months I never had any problems there and I didn't live in a very high rent area Juarez reminds me a little of Tijuana or just about the same except for paying the single pesos to cross
It's crazy to see these type of videos on UA-cam I live this life during the 1990s in California AKA The Attitude Era I thought this would end when I got older it seemed to have died out gangster aka gang banging back then being a gangster was about having Pride and being crazy and not caring it's a dangerous mentality to have it is just self-destruction I have lost three homeboys during their violent 1990s here in California during the gang epidemic it is sad to see that this trend still continues but I believe it's not as popular as it used to be there is more to life than this I was sucked into that life because I was a nine-year-old kid that would hang around with older gangsters that were in their 20s during the 1990s I did not know any better but now I am very successful and I am living the American dream

Grew up in East los and mara is a big Neigbor hood and I have family on both side sur13 and Maravilla but I was told in the early 90s when it was active a family’s moved from East Los to ABQ from JMV but changed up the name because they had to earn their own respect and I have family members from echo park that moved out their as well because my tia wanted to get all her kid’s away from the gang life and there’s a click echo park in ABQ as well but LA Influence a lot of people from other areas and it’s krazy to here this guy’s story but remember LA is gang capital
