  • TFI Thursday! A weekly dive into the Fractal-verse with John Cordy
(Thank Fractal it's Thursday - in case you're wondering!)
‪@johnnathancordy‬ explores an idea from Kai - who suggested checking out stacking Amps in front of Amps instead of Drive pedals!
Grab all of my presets here: johnnathancord... and your Fractal unit at www.g66.eu/ - now shipping direct to UK customers from the UK.

The now ancient TriAxis manual mentioned how if we didn't feel there was enough gain, we should consider getting a second and stacking them as you have here, and as others once did. The Fractal solution is a lot more cost effective, me thinks. :)

This is BRILLIANT! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! This takes us past the 'Holy Grail' of tone to...someplace else!...Unreal...

OMG! Incredibly huge improvement. So many flavors. You realize you just opened the door to multiplying our source of drive pedals with the entire list of Fractal amps, don't you?

Sounds Deliciously Wicked!!!! Nice Idea, high dollar Preamps. I am sure at least one of these would be very Klon type. You creating your own OVERDRIVE. i know back in the day guys used to daisy chain 2 amps. together.

I’m having the opposite issue if anyone can weigh in! Gonna hit the Fractal forum as well.
Btw this is the best tone I’ve heard yet. Killer
I just bought a limited Reverned which is a lot higher output than my previous fender player plus tele and everything sounds overdriven even cleans
I can figure out the input gain verses the A/D gain?
Neither seem to make much of a difference but haven’t had alot of time yet to work with it

Theres also the possibility of pushing a dirty amp with an amp as a clean boost or light overdrive.

Very cool. All sound great. The Brit 800 stays aggressive but has a transparency to it that I love. Reminds me of the Blues OD. Def going to be playing with this! 🍻

Much better than a drive block imo with much more control over tones.
