Hi Mate... I am 62 years old - and I am still able to follow your sessions. Not only the way you're playing that instrument but the way describe everything without "bla bla" - that is really amazing. Thank you so much.
Quick suggestion, use the send and return block on small patches, that way you can keep all the blocks in one window without scrolling. It might help the video anyway.
Thanks John. I'm already using the Preamp Boost but I am using a Control Switch per-preset to turn it on for Lead Scenes. I use Scene Controllers to vary the Gain between Scenes, I also use a SC on the Master as a make-up. What do you think of that? My biggest takeaway from this video is the Input EQ Lo Cut and Definition settings. I will be working that in on my presets. Nice one!!
I also noticed that you did not use a Lo Cut on the Cab, just a Hi Cut. I use a Lo Cut as well for live (read LOUD) work through a FRFR. But I also noticed that you Lo Cut at the Input EQ to clean up the mud. For you, would that be an either/ or situation?
@@gregnott7157 that’s a great question Greg, can’t wait to read John’s reply. The only thing I can think of for a reason is how most setup their Mesa amps, whereas they have the pre EQ bass on 1-2 and make up the low end with 5 band. Except John is just cutting the pre EQ low. 🤘🏼✌🏼
You are a wise man. I just got my FM9! FAR better than the rest. An updated UI would be nice but it might be in the works! How is that Ultra holding up? It's a fine modeler.
@@MOAB-UT Ultra is still the winner. Comparison with TONEX..AMPLITUBE....OVERLOUD...HELIX....My ULTRA of 2008 is the WINNER.... I think that Fractal ENGINEERS are ALIENS.......
Hi John, I just bought your patches and as usual are all Fantastic!! I was wondering what the name of this patch is? I didn't see it in the list? Love your sounds! Thanks!
Why not show the name of the preset in the video? And then ask people to buy the presets with no way of knowing which one was used. Marco Fanton would never do something like that.
Nowadays, such a sound can be set to any effect, fractals are not needed. Meanwhile, your guitar playing is excellent and this is the greatest treasure in your possession.
Not true- what are you suggesting something like a high latency plug in? Fractals are the top of the food chain- period. Better than Helix as well. What do you use Waldek?
@@MOAB-UT No offense, but I don't agree with you. I have my own channel where I compared all the best effects. You can't tell the truth these days, it doesn't sell, so the channel exists, but the videos are private. Me and my colleagues know this too and we do not share our knowledge publicly. That is all I have to say.

John, you're a very melodic player! I not only enjoyed your narrative on the Fractal, but your playing as well!
Hey John, it's great to see your content on G66! These vids demonstrating what can be done using the actual unit are extremely helpful!! Many thanks!!
Just purchased. Looking forward to trying your presets! 👍
CAUSE THIS IS THRILLER!!!!!
WOW!!!
Fantastic sounds!!! Such great sounds that I think I need a Fractal - now! Immediately - if not sooner!
Now see what you've done - damn!!!
Thanks for covering the FM3. It’s right tool for so many real world playing situations. And good call on demonstrating from the hardware. Best, D

Great Advise thanks. I think I will get an FM3 to use it at church. Great factory presets!
FANTASTIC!!! Great video. I love the plastic still on the display! Please do a MBC block video for cleans and mid gain. Blessings to you : )
What is the name of the amplifier you used? Marshall?
A fairly thorough look at how to dial in some FM3 from the UNIT ITSELF.
I love your playing so I watched this even though I don't have time to learn or buy an FM9 :-) Thanks!
Beautiful ❤

Hello John ...what is the name of this patch please ?
John, on your channel in one video you shortly explained the MBC. Can you do it a bit more in depth here.
Man, if you went back in time you could have been like EVH! Thriller....
Perfect…!!
A Thriller...
Nice Sound , but why you dont use the Editor for Demonstration the Sound ?
he literally explains that in the first 3 mins of the video
Pay attention to the details mate. He said it clearly.
