I had a set of so lows fitted to my T5.1 by the THQ crew and it was the best move ive ever made with my van, absolutely love them!! Dont settle for a cheap and cheerful coilover spend that lil extra and get these quality bits of kit!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻 Thanks again THQ!! Awesome video chaps keep them coming.
Great video 👍 I currently have a T5 project that I’m going to be running stance+ coilovers and was wondering with regards to the top mount mod can you use the original T5 top mount with the machined down plate? Cheers 🙏
Hi. I'm of the same thinking as Static. If you aren't resting on the "castle-ations" (great word) of the rubber top mount why do you need the T6 top mount? You are resting the plate on the internal of the top mount. So surely a machined T5 plate would do the same?? Or am I missing something.
@@edfisher8530 I used original top mount and cut them down and fitted to my Stance+ coilovers and haven’t had an issue, I have also vlogged it on my page
What about the drop links? Can I use the oem drop links for my t5 with extreme hub mod and t6 top mounts/ machined top mounts or does it need to be shortened or adjustable?
OEM top mounts are correct. You only need longer drop links if you are air suspension low with extra cutting work. Even air and no extra mods would use original length drop links. (Unless its a T6.1, then you need longer T6.1 links)
Hi guys,I know it’s a bit since you did this video,I bought a Bluebird 150mm hub mod kit but can only get 130mm drop on rear even without adjusters…. What can I do to get lower ?? Cheers
I am on air right now, would you advise to completely remove the front wheel arch plastic liner? When I air out the front wheels hit the liner at the top and pull the liner inwards from the left and right of the wheel. Thanks for any advise you can offer.
@@THQAutomotive that’s great thanks for your insight. Once you cut the arch liner do you need to add screws, sealant etc where the cut marks are to keep the liner in place. Cheers Pete
God damnit . Demand for them must be high right now. Subframe raises being the other option. Would you say they are a straight forward process for mechanics to achieve?.
@@cfkingkong83 We don't do wheel alignment sorry. We recommend its done 2-3 weeks after installation of any suspension. You want a proper 4 wheel laser alignment.
Why on earth would you want to lower your suspension? I prefer to be well of the floor…I don’t think ground effect is going to benefit me bombing along at 90kph!
Hole saw through the CV boot.... Chris Howes knows all about that on my van 😂

Nice to see the pup featured at the start! Nice work will be in touch about the shallower top mounts 👍🏼
Can’t wait to bring my t6 to you guys for so low suspensions 😍
Good video again boys.... the H&R anti roll bars might be an interesting upgrade for the future!?👍🏼
Loving your videos - explains what you do and why you do it - very informative :-)
Brilliant video lads. Just simple walk round on a beautiful van 👏👏. Helped me understand what to get 👍
Great video again! Nice job guys!
Great Video, would of been good to get some info on the wheel spec and tyre info it’s running also.
"Would have", not "would of". Other than that, I concur with your comment.
Great video guys very informative on the lowering front 👍
Glad it's helped
Great video, brilliant sharing of info. What, if anything, do you do with drop links?
Thanks for all the information, really helpful
Glad it was useful :)
Great vid guys, thanks. Have you ever had knocking on the rear of a koni low kit? Around the adjusters?
You notice how they strategically didnt answer that question?
Do you still do them shortened drive shafts for t5 vans
What diameter do you machine the top mount plate down to and which cv boots have you used?
Awesome content as always!
I don't know the diameter sorry. We have the done by a total machine shop. We use the skinny boots we sell on the website :)

No you need the compete T6 kit if you have a T5.

Hello a great video 👍👍👍from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋Kai

Is it true if you can't get it on the ramp at mot station it fails?
Good video! Do you do a rear adjuster delete for vanslams?
Ingo The Ba**ard they are a Chinese copy of B14’s so I assume they copied the ID of the rear spring too. The B14 version on our website should work.
Mikeys van's a peach. 👌
Hello, what make are the wheels on the other van. Do you supply? Thanks
The wheels on the white van are BBS LM splits. No we don't supply them.

Hello, no you've done it all if there are no adjusters either.
Thanks for replying…. So I need lower springs then? I’ll go on your website ….. I knew I should of gone air 🤦🏻♂️😆
Is it same ratio for lowering the front in comparison to the rear?
No, it'll depend on the wait of the cargo, size of engine, which gearbox, 2WD or 4motion etc
Can you tell me wheel and tire dimensions? And what rims are these?
BBS LM splits. They are around £3500 a set if you can find them. 225/35/19 tyres
Hi am on stance at the moment but the rear shocks have ran out of travel, are the solow shocks shorter and do you know the closed length please.
Yes they are shorter. They are design to be low. Stance aren't.
@@THQAutomotive is there any other rear shock absorbers that can be ran low

Hello. No although it is common to kit a chunk away. We would normally cut away the section between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. I hope this helps.
