That definitely looks like a new tub. I would of probably painted the walls of the bathroom maybe a bright white and changed the fixtures. But it did what it was supposed to making it look like a new tub. Always enjoy watching you do updates Megan ❤❤

@lovinglifeasmegan For sure!! I plan on buying some to redo at least one tub and one stand up shower. They need it terribly and I believe if you can restore it on your own and be happy without going through the troubles of hiring people who will not really care about your home as much as you do, than that is the way to go. Why pay someone for something that you can do yourself, even people with disabilities could do this at a very slow pace and manage it. I know from personal experience. ❤❤❤

As long as you don’t do any cleaning before the 7 day cure period it’s great!
Wow! The tub came out great. And no smell! I used to call around years ago about having someone come out and refinish our tub and sinks, and the closest company was 2 hours away! They informed me that you have to leave the house for 2 days because of the smell. Then we had a flood in our home and everything was replaced a couple years ago. Good to know now that you can DIY instead of getting a repairman!
The smell is awful with a lot of other products, very toxic & chemically…but this Dwil kit had absolutely no odor. I was very impressed!

It looks great! But, is it safe to clean with your normal cleaning products?
You can look on their website for specific information. I use the JAWS tub & shower cleaner, which is non toxic & non abrasive (but highly effective) so I’m not concerned with cleaning.

My concern with painting is banging or scratching this paint. What does it look like in a few months after scrubbing it with cleaning products? Would you be willing to update us and show us? I want to do my small shower but I’m really paranoid about the paint. Is there a protective top coat?
The hardener is what seals it, so you don’t need a top coat 😊
The tub should of been white. To match the toilet and basins.

This looks AWESOME!!!!!! My husband has been trying to convince me to do this with our tub but I’m scared!! We have a cast iron tub from the 70s. It’s lost all its enamel and it’s a bear to clean!! It’s just awful!! After seeing this, I’m game!! You mentioned that it takes 7 days to harden. Does that mean you can’t use it during those 7 days?
It says 48 hours to dry & then 7 days for normal use, which implies you can use it in 2 days & clean it in 7…but I would probably just wait the full 7 days before using it

The color I used is called vanilla white, but there are a ton of color options on the website.
