Yes that sounds a great idea. I like it when you do a in-depth engine strip down. It shows the viewers just what it takes to look after these vehicles. And also we can learn a lot from someone who has the experience to tackle such a job. It’s nice to appreciate the amount of time you guys put into fixing problems that we see in 20min to 1 hour videos. Well done guys keep up the sterling work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Cool. Interesting video have never thought about measuring what you currently have. While I may be a tree hugger, I love these big motors. I'm looking forward to the tear down. Thanks

I am happy to go with whatever you suggest. I do like geek. The more geek the better so two shorts and a geek would be OK with me.
I am so grateful for the effort you put in to taking me along with you. ❤

Always interesting to get the back story. Service history or where it came from. We are not allowed to have a tank in Canada.

Really? Didn’t know that! We’ll do a video on the service life next week as an extra! She’s actually the first ever centurion avre made the first prototype, stayed in service some
40+ years. Ended up after a lot of hard work to be the only Complete and fully working one currently :)

Always good to see the in depth videos. Allows us UA-camrs to appreciate the finer details & effort needed to keep these machines going 👍
I’ll be watching the mag harness repair closely, I used to work on them, eventually I became an examiner at 38 Central Workshops many, many moons ago.

@@tinkeringwithtanks Any tips? Don’t do them 😉 We used to find the inner rubber of the flexible conduit would become twisted, making threading a new HT lead through a git! Keeping them warm with plenty of non conductive silicone grease always helped. The other tip was to gently tap the conduit up & down on the bench as we were threading the leads through helped. Oh, obviously start with the longest run first, if that’s had it, the rest are probably not far behind 😣

Your posting plan sounds great; random 'run- fix- restore-what-is-it' videos laced with a 'meta' series focused on a bigger project necessitating multiple videos. I thought this was where you were going with the Antar series. Keep it coming.

I always thought the Meteor engines were assembled by Rover, when they swapped their gas turbine technology for the Meteor contract. Was that only during WW2 and post that, construction reverted to RR?
