    Nobody likes to here an old man talk. That's what they keep telling me.
    I will figure out what they mean one day.
    Anyway, sure enjoyed watching an, " Arteist, " who enjoys showing and teaching his craft.
    WELL worth the watch.
    Thank you sir, for the tutorial.
    Dang that came out nice and looks great.

    It's beautiful, great craftsmanship!! I retire at the end of this month, so I'll add this to my list of things to do to fill my time and keep me busy. Can't become a couch potato!!!

    I have watched two or three other people on this UA-cam channel making this and you are the one and only one that explains in detail every single step you don’t miss a beat you’re very detail oriented. It’s the best video in my opinion on this wooden flag.! I find most people on a UA-cam channel lie about a lot of things and hide a lot of things just to get views. I find that honest and you have integrity and I appreciate that. Thank you for your videos.! you do amazing work!

    Can you explain how you put the 2 curved relief cuts forwards the bottom? I don’t believe you mentioned them but I can clearly see them in your flag

    • @oldeshed
      @oldeshed  Місяць тому +1

      Hi, I freehand them with a pencil to get the look I want, then carefully cut with a grinder. Then hand sand. It mimics folds in the flag. Thanks for watching.

    How did you trace the stars??? With what instrument??? Thanks.

    • @oldeshed
      @oldeshed  3 місяці тому +1

      This is what I used: White Mechanical Fabric Pencil: amzn.to/4e7e83t, along with the star stencil: Star Stencil: amzn.to/3Utt9pq

    At 7:45 you say, "from this mark". I can't see what mark you're talking about. It's hard to see those lines in that light, or the marks.

    • @oldeshed
      @oldeshed  3 місяці тому

      My finger is right on the mark I'm referring to. Later in the video I darken up the lines. That should help. The measurements are available on my website. There's a link in the description. Thanks

  • @kennethpierce7304
    @kennethpierce7304 7 місяців тому

    So the 2.5” mark is 39”from the top of the board ?

    • @oldeshed
      @oldeshed  7 місяців тому +1

      It's important to clarify that the 2.5" doesn't come in from just anywhere at the top of the board. More specifically, the measurement from the 4" mark comes down 39" to the edge of the board. From that point at the edge of the workpiece, come in 2.5". The next line comes from the 5" mark to the 2.5" mark. Hope that helps.
