I'm so glad to finally see and hear Vanna be able to talk candidly, not just saying "bye-bye!" at the end of shows or reading from cue cards or a script. This is very moving.

Vanna usually does talk a bit at the end of each episode when it’s just her and Pat remaining. But honestly, this was her choice to stay as the letter-turner and not have much talking screen-time. Producers early on wanted her to get more involved with the show in other ways, but she felt comfortable being that mainstay.

Honestly, for a lot of people (myself included), it’s easier to get through an emotional speech like that if it’s been written out ahead of time. Had I not written out maid of honor speeches or eulogies, I know I would’ve rambled and cried. It’s a little easier to hold it together if I’m reading.
I know this is cliche, but Vanna is truly beautiful inside and out!

I’m 71 been watching since the beginning. Pat and Vanna love you both it was like having family in our living room on our TV all these years. My husband and I have been trying to out wit and beat each other every night. Pat enjoy your retirement its well earned and deserved. Thank you for all the fun times and the memories. ❤❤😊

I am 83 yrs young and have watched wheel ever since it's beginning! The 2 of U fit together like a hand & glove & I shall miss U Pat Sajack. I am so glad that U stayed a part of the progrram yet, Vanna, so it hasn't "completely" changed. Good luck to Ryan.

It’s probably the hardest thing to say goodbye to work with somebody over 41 years on wheel of fortune
That's basically half your life knowing somebody (which is usually only a thing for siblings or other family members). It's good they live nearby and will probably be close friends the rest of their lives.

I've been watching Wheel of fortune since I was 5. Not all the time but it was always there if I wanted to watch. However he hasn't passed on. He's gonna go live the rest of his life. We might still see him online but if not we should be grateful for all the episodes he gave us.

Oh, Vanna. What a heartfelt tribute. I have literally been with you both since that first day. Both daytime and syndication. It will be quite an adjustment when Ryan takes over, and while I’m already familiar with Ryan and his hosting history, I will certainly continue to watch. Ryan is an excellent choice going forward. I just can’t imagine not watching anymore just because of a new host. He will be just fine. And Vanna, with you by his side for at least a couple of more seasons, it will definitely be a smooth transition. Happy retirement to Pat, and here’s to hopefully many more seasons of Wheel Of Fortune. ❤️❤️😊😊

Reality is hitting me I cannot believe that tmrw is the end of an era Pat you’ve been apart of my life for 20 years everyday of my childhood I always look forward to seeing you and Vanna every night at 6:30 and I know things won’t always be forever but you will always be apart of my heart because you hold that special place in my heart I love you so much Pat and may this next chapter of your life be filled with peace prosperity and love ❤❤❤

i know they taped this final week/episode 2 months ago, but it's so sad to see this era come to an end. this show started the year i was born which means i've been watching it my entire life with pat/vanna and it'll never be the same.. i hope pat is healthy and able to live a fabulous retirement.
He's a Trumpy Bear supporter, so you'll see him at the cult meetings, aka "rallies" that Trumpy likes to inflate his ego with.
I met Pat Sajak many years ago at Fox News in NY when I was a studio cameraman there. Pat had his own show at Fox a short while. He was about as laid back and approachable as any celebrity I’ve ever seen. He spoke to the crew about his schedule living in MD with his wife and kids, doing Wheel and this new show at FNC. We were all amazed how he juggled a very involved shooting schedule, the flying back and forth from Hollywood to NYC and MD for family time. Of course, he couldn’t maintain that hectic schedule for long. One show stood out when Pat interviewed Doris Roberts known for her role on Everybody Loves Raymond and Christmas Vacation. Doris had either dementia or Alzheimer’s. Thank God Pat’s show wasn’t live which allowed Doris to eventually collect her thoughts. And Pat treated Doris with the utmost respect like he did most everyone. God bless Pat and Vanna on this amazing 4 decade run, it’s been fun to watch. But like everything, all good things come to an end.
A show with 2 great people for 40+ years great clean entertainment with the occasional hilarious moments…true family entertainment Thank you both and your families

Wheel of Fortune help my speech problem which I speak better today because Pat help players look at the board not the wheel in bonus level like R S T L N E many funny moments with Pat. I watch Wheel of Fortune with my grandma and my family 6:30 PM at dinner time at my house since 1993 threw today 2024. 31 years of Wheel of Fortune. It helps my mom English when she came from United States from Poland in 1981, she watches Wheel of Fortune when Pat and Vanna came on 1981 watching the show over 43 years she loves it. Goodbye Pat Sajak enjoys your retirement. We will meet again soon same with Vanna White thank you for your autograph on my birthday it was so special and thoughtful You sign your name and Vanna White name both you are my favorite celebrities I'm adore with. Have a nice retirement you made me laugh at my home tv with the wheel with Vanna and funny answers when the players say very funny answers back in 1999 in New York met Mr. Rogers at Pittsburg Pennsylvania gave two trollies with his autograph back in 1998. Halloween specials giving candies to kids on the studio back in 2003 2009 and 2018. I got an autograph from you Pat and Vanna on my birthday back in 2016 on November. It was so special to me.

This show didn't just have heart. It had a soul - and that's all because of Pat and Vanna. When I would see Pat's kids or Vanna's kids on the stage, as a kid, it made me feel like Pat and Vanna were my "TV parents." I've never seen that family dynamic on a game show before, and I doubt I will ever again. I wish Pat the best retirement.

Vanna's not leaving yet. Her contract goes through 2026. so she'll be around for at least 2 more seasons.

Actually in 1981 after original host Chuck Woolery left over a contract dispute. Chuck hosted Wheel alongside Susan Stafford from 1975-81 on NBC.
This was emotional. Grew up my whole life with Pat and Vanna (I was 2 when Pat started WOF). Pat's in that fraternity.... Game show hosts that are a true part of Americana..... him, Alex Trebek, Bob Barker, Richard Dawson. Grew up with them all. Enjoy retirement Pat. Take care. God Bless!!

When i was a baby back in 1996 and like all babies who like touching buttons and tv was no exception. The first thing i saw was Wheel of Fortune and i lived to love this show. Pat, thank you for over 40 years of hosting one of the GOATS of game shows, Wheel of Fortune. Was a fan for so many years. Have a couple of the home games from the 80's.
Some may compare this to Bob Barker leaving Price is Right or even Alex Trebek leaving "Jeopardy!" It is the end of one of the greatest eras in television.
I hope on tomorrow's show a contestant wins $100,000 or even $1,000,000. It would be the only way to go out in a blaze of glory.
Pat was known for being unpredictable. You never knew what he was gonna say or do. One moment of mine that is stuck in my head was during the shopping era about the second syndicated year 1985 when they came back from the last commercial break, Pat was asking Vanna "So do you choose your own clothes?" But how he said it was like he was in a total fit of the giggles, and he LOST IT!!!

The only regret that I have so far in my life is that I did not get to be a contestant on the show and meet Pat. Such an awesome person and such an awesome career.
