No more Alex Trebek. And now Pat Sajak has retired… where have the years gone??!! Thanks so much for all you’ve done Pat to both the newer and older generations!
Jeopardy's still going strong with Ken Jennings tho, because he was the GOAT for holding the longest streak ever, while many people are not used to Seacrest's hosting of Wheel
@killerb255 For all of us who were children of this era it feels we will be saying one goodbye after the other. With that said I am very greatful to have been a part of the Prime Time game show experience. 🎉❤😊
I'm 20 years old. I grew up watching Wheel with my grandmother, mom, and dad and almost never missed and episode. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried during Pat's final thoughts. As Dr. Seuss said, don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. Thank you for all the memories, Pat! I'm gonna miss seeing you on the show.
Glad I’m not the only one thinking this! I’m 19 myself (19 and a half next month) and I remember as a young kid at Grandma’s house sitting around after Wednesday night dinner (and yes, we would go over there after school pretty much EVERY Wednesday!) watching Wheel and playing along, and sometimes we’d go after and turn Jeopardy! on at home too. Now both hosts are gone (one retired of course) as is the great grandmother who lived at Grandma’s house for a while…and I don’t know what to think of that! But as someone who can remember the details of some days or periods of life particularly vividly…I can always relive these moments again and again anyways, and as they say those who are gone are never truly gone. 🙂 I do however often think that I really grew up in the best era of television, these days nothing is really good from the movies to the TV shows as it all used to be!
I watched this show with my grandmother from 2007 all the way up until now. Even though she passed in 2022 it was a way I was able to connect with her even when I didn’t see her often. This show will always have a special place in my heart even with not having watched it that long in comparison to others since I’m only 21. Pat Sajak you will be dearly missed.
Yeah, see, I’m 19 (almost 19 and a half) and I myself remember watching Wheel on Wednesday nights as a young kid with my family including my great grandmother who passed in early 2021. It’s one of those things where it’s a bit less of this one special thing to me but just a cool detail of that part of my life! But it’s still yet why I’m so horribly sad Pat retired, because that man was a staple of the show and hence a connection to those Wednesday nights years ago. TV has changed so much though, a lot less great shows these days, so really I think it’s just another hallmark of the end of an era. We both truly were lucky to live in an era of great television I think!
This last episode got me into tears. Watching almost every episode of wheel of fortune especially because of Pat and Vanna, the true icon stars of my 32 years living on this beautiful earth. Congratulations Pat, we will miss you and happy retirement goodbye 😢❤
As someone who was born and raised in the US and then left abroad, this show and Pat Sajak always represented the America I remembered as a child and loved so much. Him leaving truly is the end of an era. You will certainly be missed and forever remembered with a smile, Pat. Good luck with whatever you choose to do from here on out!
PAT .. It was AWESOME to share that stage with you even if it was for only 18 min... It was an absolute honor to play this game for real! Best of luck in your new adventures! - Brandon from Nashville TN (now NC)
Pat, I commend you for your faithfulness to the "Wheel of Fortune" show. Few people can say that they stayed the course as long as you have. You ran a good clean show that the whole family could watch and that is getting rare these days. Thanks for it all. May your next adventure be even better! Thanks and Good Bye!
My family and I have watched every episode since 1984. We will miss you tremendously Pat. Thank you for everything you have done for us and everyone lucky enough to watch your show!!! You will be missed!!!
My grand parents immigrated to Canada from The Netherlands in the 50s and always said the WoF helped keep their English skills up when they didn't have company and watched it religiously until their deaths in 96 and 04. One of my favourite memories is solving a WoF puzzle before my Pake and Beppe (Friese for Grandpa and Grandma) did in when I was about 11 (1991). Millions of people have such a strong connexion to this show that cannot be explained in a simple message.
As we take this time, once again, to say goodbye to Pat Sajak, in this show’s entirety, there is a rhyme by Clarence Day which says what I want to say, in which Charles Kuralt once said, as he stepped down from CBS News/Sunday Morning: 'Farewell, my friends, farewell and hail; I'm off to seek the holy grail; I cannot tell you why; remember, please when I am gone, 'twas aspiration led me on; tiddly-widdly-toodle-oo, all I want is to stay with you, but here I go, goodbye.' Thank you for so much of your work, Mr. Sajak, once again. God Bless. Keep the Faith, Pass the Peace, Make the Magic, and Share the Love.
Thank you so much for 40+ great years Pat. You were a big part of my upbringing. Every night at 6pm I would walk the 6 blocks to my grandparents house just in time to get there for Wheel Of Fortune at 7pm on CBS. When the show began we'd all raise our arms above our heads, clap and cheer "YAYYYYYYYYY" You have made so many of us end our days with a big smile! Whether we were having a good day or a bad day, you made it all better. What an honor it's been all these years! Thank you Pat Sajak for the memories. Promise you'll come back and guest host real soon!💖🙏
Im so grateful 🙏 to have gotten to be a contestant on the show with my hubby on the sweethearts shows they have for Valentine's Day back in 2004. We have SIGNED autographed pictures from Pat & Vanna and we both have our name tags. We only won $1,000 but boy was we famous for about a month as so many of our family and friends called us when they saw us on the show..❤❤❤ Grew up watching them & my dream of being on Wheel of Fortune came true...Pat you will be missed. Brought to tears. What an amazing man. It's been an honor to have lived my entire life with his familiar face on my TV screen. We love you, Pat. Always. Thank you❤
It’s been an honor to watch you for the past ten years. I moved to USA 15 years ago and found this show accidentally on TV. Became a big fan right after I watched the show. We will all miss you so much! Come visit Cooperstown sometimes, Pat! I know you love Baseball! ⚾️😊❤ And Thank you! ☺️🙏🏻
Pat since you been part of my life I taught myself how to speak and understand the world thanks to you I made life long friends and partners in crime lol thank you so much I made so many emotional memories with my family your awesome sir. Through cancer treatments and treatments for my Anxiety and Autism you have been there every step of the way. I miss you and love you Mr. Pat Sajak your always and forever part of my life.
I watched wheel of fortune when I was a kid back in 1980s. Learning RSTLNE are the most common letters in English. And lots of new phrases I never even know before. Miss you Pat
My Grandparents use to watch Wheel of Fortune every night when I was younger (they have since passed on). The show brought many happy memories to our family. Thank you Pat!
Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! were my comfort shows as a child having to deal with evil teachers and overloads of schoolwork. It was an hour where you could escape from the harsh realities and societal pressures of post-second grade elementary school. Always looked forward to being able to escape to the world that Pat and Alex had for us at 7pm every night. Even though I was always more into Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune's simple gameplay always felt more comforting. Sure the puzzles might've been somewhat difficult (especially the bonus round), but at least it wasn't as advanced and complex as some of the "answers" Jeopardy! expected it's contestants to respond to right away. Thank you for everything, Mr. Sajak! Enjoy retirement! Sincerely someone you will probably never meet.
Thank you, Pat. My mother loved watching you . Your show was the last program she seemed before she went to bed and passed away the next morning . She died on May 7th, 2014 She enjoyed watching to improve her English . God bless you and your family
Thanks for the upload. Pat Sajak was my favorite host of Wheel of Fortune. He, Alex Trebek, Bob Barker, and Regis Philbin were my favorite hosts growing up. And Jeopardy, The Price is Right has never been the same without Alex and Bob as the previous hosts, and now Wheel of Fortune will never be the same. You were my favorite host, Pat and I will never forget you. Thanks for all the memories, Pat. Enjoy your retirement!
Wow! It's hard to say goodbye. It's hard to imagine the show without you. Thanks once again here. Hopefully you could come visit the show anytime soon!
Wow! The BIG WINNER got the Bonus Puzzle on Pat's last time on Wheel! How about that? I'm going to miss you Pat Sajak! I hope the new host will be as good as you were!
My mom & I have watched you for years Pat. I’m 25 now & I can’t believe you’re no longer on wheel. I must admit , I will not watch this as often & Remember wheel for what it was when you were here, You’re one of the last class acts. You’re a good , fair & genuine man & Thanks for all the good memories.
Thank you for your wonderful 40 years of WOF. I lived in Singapore and have watched your programme for over 30 years. My mother who passed on in 2016 and who knew very little English and when she was alive absolutely loved your show. I never knew what captivated her. I never ask. I can only say you and Vanna did a wonderful job, no politics, no sanctions, no hypocrisies but who are really our true American friends. I wish you a wonderful retirement filled with peace, happiness and fortune with all your loved ones. Thank you.
Been watching the show since the first taping... Just subscribed to the YT Channel. Congratulations and a huge thanks!! to Pat, Vanna, and crew, for filling our living rooms all these years..
Thank you Mr.Sajak !!! We will miss you as part of the Wheel of Fortune game. My entire childhood watching the show is finally at full circle, and it ends with you guys. Thank you so much and happy retirment =)
I am at least glad that they left in the mention of *Chuck Woolery* in the opening segment - that was actually a nice gesture. Pat put his own spin on the show and kept it proper. There weren't any major scandals - and it was family-friendly even behind the scenes. There is an account here from Columbus, Ohio that was my first time seeing Pat and Vanna when they did a special week of shows at the Ohio State Fair before the syndicated version began in 1983. As a new third-grader, it was nice to see my favorite show at night! I had missed the transition in first and second grade lol.
Truly an end of an era. Of course, the show is still continuing, but it just won't be the same without Pat Sajak. To host a show for over 40 years is no small feat.
Pat thanks for so many great years of hosting the show. Wish you the best in the future. Sad to see this become the series' finale for me but change is inevitable.
Love you Mr. Sajak! I used to watch you with my grammy when I was kid. I missed the original show but I very much love WOF so much I play the game online. I'm glad I got to see your last show so many of us grew up watching WOF the memories we will always hold. You will be missed!
I’m glad to have seen 33 out of those 40 years of Pat’s career on Wheel. Pat Sajak, and yes, Vanna White, you two have been an awesome team that have ever been in the history of game show presenters. You two, along with the late legendary Alex Trebek of “JEOPARDY” fame, have made my 90’s and 00’s a little easier growing up. For that, I thank you.
Luckily there r stil many episodes available online of u for us fans to review and see that charming smile and short but cute jokes of yours... Love u Pat 😘 Happy retirement
I was a nine year old playing this game with my grandma, Aldina, in Michigan. Now I'm 50 and been married for 24 years. Pat was a staple of my life for the past 40+ years. Here's to the next adventure! Happy retirement to one of the GOATs!
For the first time ever Wheel of Fortune had a full episode for one time wow I'm impressed Wheel of Fortune UA-cam channel you decide you was for favor for all of us in case we missed the finale wow I'm actually impress
Thank you, Pat.....for setting your politics aside, for being such a character, for being such a household staple for the past 40+ years, letting yourself be a staple of American television long enough to be a core part of my childhood. Your legacy is cemented with the likes of Trebek, Barker, and so many others 🤟

Thank you Pat for all that you've done. One of the bests next to Bob Barker and Alex Trebek, we'll miss you. I'm 37 years old and WoF is one of my favourite games shows out there, it never gets old.
We've seen this here in the Philippines thru RPN 9 it was a habit for me to cheer everytime when the guess the answer. Thanks PAT for the journey worth the gratitude, it's high time to pass on the legacy to the new host. Let the wheel continue to roll to the new chapter of Wheel of Fortune. 😊
Wow! What a legacy, over 40 years of joy and fun. Clean and family oriented! Thank you to Vanna too, no game show will ever be the same again. You’ve brought so much joy to my family, through hardship and trials this game show was watched countless times by all of us! Thank you sir, and thank you to the late Alex Trebek for doing the same!
Happy retirement Pat! Hope he shares post cards of his new adventures! ❤️ 6, 000 very fun shows! Watching Wheel on your Pluto channel! Hope most episodes will be available. Best wishes to Vanna, Jim & the new host too.
Well, Pat, it's been an amazing journey. I can't wait to see what your future holds for you. Thank you for over 4 decades of hosting a show that I have fond memories of watching since I was a kid. We wish you the best and happiest of retirements and we are blessed to have gotten to know you. Cheers 🥂
It’s like the end of my childhood. I lost part of it when Alex Trebek passed away. I remember, as a kid, watching Wheel and Jeopardy, with my brother and my grandfather from about the age of 6 until about age 12, every night, without fail… the three of us would make a cake, eat some ice cream and watch wheel and jeopardy then after that we’d watch a movie. Those were my summers every night, without fail and some school nights too.. I think back on that now as a distant memory but a cherished memory that I’ll hold for the rest of my life. My grandfather passed away in 2016 and my brother passed away in 2022.. now I think back on those nights, those trips to the store with my grandpa and brother to get donuts, cake and ice cream.. it’s weird knowing you’re the last one left to have been a part of something… it’s just me now that knows about those nights, that fun, all that sugar consumption… what I wouldn’t give for one of those nights with grandpa and my brother… when things were simpler.😢 Once my kids got a little older I had hoped to pass the tradition onto them but sadly my daughter wants nothing to do with it and my son is autistic and definitely wants nothing to do with it…. So I guess it’ll always be something that my grandpa, brother and I did during the summers when we were kids..
I was born in 1981... Grew up watching Pat and Wheel of Fortune my whole life. He was great and so is the show! Great work Pat enjoy your next adventure!
It’s crazy to think my parents were in high school watching him and now I watched his episodes growing up and his last episode I’m 6 years in the service. Family legacy right here
Bob Barker, Alex Trebek and now Pat Sajak, three of the greatest game show hosts we've ever known and nobody who has taken their places could be as wonderful as them, big shoes to fill!
I am from britain and I will miss Pat Sajak what an amazing host and wheel of fortune will be different now thank you for over 40 years Pat. You legend :)
41 seasons, 8000 episodes.
What an adventure Pat Sajak.
Let’s just pray in hope he has brighter plans in the near future.
What a record! 😊
How about this pat's official episode count × 7XL ( that 40 in roman numerals) I bet he would have given away that
While he continues to work as a consultant, Pat even happens to star in a broadway show next year called "Prescription: Murder."
@@jennings861b8 I don't know he's a producer or something! 😊
43 and a half years if you count his taking over for Chuck Woolery on the daytime version.
No more Alex Trebek. And now Pat Sajak has retired… where have the years gone??!! Thanks so much for all you’ve done Pat to both the newer and older generations!
Also Bob Barker passed away last year.
Jeopardy's still going strong with Ken Jennings tho, because he was the GOAT for holding the longest streak ever, while many people are not used to Seacrest's hosting of Wheel

@ClueFinder654 I remember that!! That was a lot of fun to watch both "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" when they did that. 😂
Bob Barker, Alex Trebek, and now Pat Sajak are all off the air. End of a golden era.
A near century of escape and entertainment; an epoch of game show and television history.
ehh not quite! Steve Harvey is still around
@@RandolphX_96 He sucks.
And there’s still Drew Carey & Wayne Brady
Luckily pat sajak didn't pass away though.
When Pat started on the show, I was in my early 20's, now I'm in my mid-sixties. Oh, how time has flown by!
I wasn't even born yet.
Yes, time has flown by. I agree.
I was a kid when wheel of fortune was on TV 1981

I stopped watching Regularly, since they stopped bringing back the winning contestant on the previous episode like they still do on Jeopardy.
Oh, snap... Wheel uploaded a full episode. This is a great tribute to Pat Sajak. Good luck in your future endeavors, Pat. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you, Pat. My mother loved watching you . Your show was the last program she seemed before she went to bed and passed away the next morning . She died on May 7th, 2014
She enjoyed watching to improve her English .
Glad to see this uploaded. I will miss Pat being on Wheel.
Thanks a lot for uploading this! I wasn't able to watch it on TV so I deeply appreciate it!
Pat Sajak had created a history of being the longest game show host ever. Thank you.
Thank you.
Totally agree with you
Been watching the show since the first taping...
Thank you very much, Pat for everything. 41 years 8000 episode one man one legend.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for everything you do done Pat Sajak.
Cool! Thanks for adding the whole thing.
Pat will be missed! One of the few conservatives on mainstream media (even though you'd never know it because he treats everyone equally).
That’s one reason to not miss him. I’d prefer a host who doesn’t pose for selfies with white supremacists.
Thanks Pat from all the disabled persons around the world.
Thank you to Pat Sajak for a incredible 43 years of entertaining American viewers. Enjoy your Retirement. All the best from Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺
Now upload the first episode, that would be such a difference
While a UA-camr has it uploaded, it’s even available on Pluto TV.
Note:
- First Episode was 1975 with a different host before Pat hosting.
- First Episode in this video was 1981 (first time Pat Host).
Thank you Pat Sajak!
I learned how to spell by watching. I played it on Nintendo. Thank you.
Truly an end of an era. Of course, the show is still continuing, but it just won't be the same without Pat Sajak. To host a show for over 40 years is no small feat.
Thanks for all the memories, Pat. We all love you and we’ll miss you.
Thanks for adding this full episode! 😊

The first final spin landed on Lose A Turn.
It looks like they went back to edited final spins after Brian’s Bankrupt Final Spin.
Thank you, Pat & we will miss you too.
Love u Pat 😘

I say download it, just in case. There are third party websites or softwares that can help you download it to keep.
I was a nine year old playing this game with my grandma, Aldina, in Michigan. Now I'm 50 and been married for 24 years. Pat was a staple of my life for the past 40+ years. Here's to the next adventure! Happy retirement to one of the GOATs!
Thank you for the wonderful memories and making WHeel of Fortune worth watching.
Thank you for making people happy. And for your service.
Thank you pat sajak for being a part of my childhood life in 1988.👍

Pat, we're going to miss you. Thanks for the memories and as a child of the 90s, thank you!
Grew up watching Wheel of Fortune. Thank you Pat and God Bless! ❤
Happy retirement Pat! Hope he shares post cards of his new adventures! ❤️
6, 000 very fun shows!
Cheers 🥂

Watching it here from Singapore. Every time I got something right I thought I was so amazing! I definitely have good memories. ❤❤❤❤
FINALLY! Thank you! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for all the memories Pat Sajak. I have loved this show since 2012 and we all will miss you so much. Enjoy your retirement.
My grandfather passed away in 2016 and my brother passed away in 2022.. now I think back on those nights, those trips to the store with my grandpa and brother to get donuts, cake and ice cream.. it’s weird knowing you’re the last one left to have been a part of something… it’s just me now that knows about those nights, that fun, all that sugar consumption… what I wouldn’t give for one of those nights with grandpa and my brother… when things were simpler.😢
Once my kids got a little older I had hoped to pass the tradition onto them but sadly my daughter wants nothing to do with it and my son is autistic and definitely wants nothing to do with it…. So I guess it’ll always be something that my grandpa, brother and I did during the summers when we were kids..
