Am I the only person enjoying the tutorial? I mean for those who complained about too fast, there are things called PAUSE and speed switching. I get annoyed by the tutorials that are slow, and this one works perfect for me. Thank you for making this!

I enjoyed it too! They only thing I would take out is the "For beginners"part because I think some people may define "beginners" as those who have never knitted before. I believe this tutorial is easier to understand (for people who process visual examples like I do) if one already has an understanding of more traditional knitting with needles. These steps are essentially the same except your arms are used in lieu of needles.

This is outrageously inventive and really awesome. I've been trying to find a larger scale way to teach my little sister how to knit. She's a hands on person and I have a hard time guiding her with needles. This looks like a great way to teach her how, and one she'd really enjoy. Thank's for the tutorial and great idea :)

Learning to knit you need first - patience - looking at this video jump-start my creativity side to learn knitting - I watched it on slow speed, turn the volume down and practice, practice, practice - took it down and started again until I have finally learned using the needles.

I used three strands of cream, 6oz homespun yarn. It gives the appearance of beautiful, bulky lace. What a fun new way to knit!

An excellent video! This is a great way to make a blanket or throw as well, you just have to keep it going until its bigger. It's basically the EXACT same thing as regular knitting, just with larger yarn, and your arms are the needles.

I did this this evening - I used two skeins of Encore Mega 75%/25% 100g 64yds and had 4-5 yards left. I have never finished a project like this, so am not sure I did it right, and the tension I had at the beginning was much looser than what I had at the end, making matching up the edges to be an interesting endeavor. Looks great, though!
PS - Baby Girl decided to wake up from a nap and be hungry, so I just finished the row and slid it off my arm onto the nearest workable object (fly swatter handle) and put it down to deal with life and was able to come back, put it back on my arm and finish. You can't look at the finished product and go 'oh, yep, there's where she used the fly swatter' :)

I really can't do anything knitting-wise, but for me this turned out great. I used two different colours of super soft yarn and made a tan and brown infinity scarf (or cowl as they call this one) that looks and feels like I bought it! The only thing I would have liked is for it to be tighter. On my scarf the stitches are far apart and it is very hole-y, but bunched together it is great. Thanks for the tutorial and take care :-)

Hey Lucas, you just have to pull the string a little tighter after each time you knit one loop to the other arm. If you try again just try pulling all the string a little tighter and if you need to you can always make it a little longer by knitting a few more rows. :) I agree, I like them not so holey lol

Arm knitting is fairly easy when you get in the move of it. Once you've done/tried it once its pretty easy. Btw, if you want the scarf/blanket/whatever you want wider, do more arm lengths. If you want it longer, keep transitioning the yarn over. :)

Seeing this done makes a lot more sense than being told how it's done. I appreciate a long-tail cast on and would love to see a live cast on demonstration in the future. It's not clear to cast on 10 or 12 stitches total, but that's fine. How much yardage do you think one would need for this project? Lion Brand Hometown USA is a fairly cheap bulky yarn. I'd probably go with that. Thanks for sharing the how to. The visual really helps.
