Keep making that music!
An incredible tutorial, thank you!
I never thought to try this as I've never used Divisimate, so I'll be exploring this method now.
This could be a game changer for many, as well as a huge time saver.
Glad you found it helpful! Greg (The Sampleist)
Thank you so much! I will absolutely love this series. I have scaler, now I will do due diligence on checking out Divisimate Micro. Thank you for this production hack.
You are so welcome!
"One finger STRING section..." ...proceeds to use a choirs 🤣 Great video!
Yeah, there obviously wasn't clear communication between the video author (me) and the video editors (not me!). Ooops!😁
Yeah, we thought we would put the play on words there since you can do just about anything with one finger using the solution. Just about anything. :-)
Great tutorial! I too have never tried Divisimate. It looks very useful.
Glad it was helpful!
More Hacks Please!
More coming I'm sure - stay tuned ! Greg (The Sampleist)
Why would you use divisimate if scaler has a divisi function built in?
Can Scaler actually split out into divisi voices? Ok, fair enough - I wasn't aware of it, if that's the case. But there's always many ways to skin a proverbial cat I suppose!
@@totalmusicfreedom Yea Scaler can do that.
@@totalmusicfreedom multi midi mode is what you need. It’s just setting the note order ina chord to a midi channel and that about it
While Scaler can process Divisi in multi mode, this solution is also helpful for those composers who are familiar with using Divisimate or looking for a smaller scale Aleutian like this plug-in that may not have Scaler and perhaps have generated their chords in Rapid Composer or similar program which would then slide in to take the place of Scaler in this solution. Just an interesting bit of father that we may not have talked about in the video but almost every aspect of a solution has substitutions that can be made. As you said multiple ways to skin a cat
While Scaler's new divisi feature adds significant functionality, Divisimate remains a powerful tool for composers who require advanced real-time MIDI processing, extensive customization, and seamless integration with their existing setups. For those working with complex orchestrations and live performances, Divisimate offers unique benefits that can greatly enhance their workflow and musical output.
