Touché, I should’ve included that. Glad you explained it! Always enjoy seeing other POVs - hope you got the update, it tightens up the steering quite a bit & adds link support :)
Good and honest review! I think most people compare these a1up cabs for $300-$600 to the commercial coin operated cabs that are 5k-$10k and can’t figure out why the features and quality are not the same.
the arcade1up community is the hardest community to make happy. Everyone knitpicks and drags them through the mud over every little thing. I'm just happy I have an affordable option that's still fun that I can always tweak to my needs.
@@DJSemiTV exactly they love to trash talk every product that’s released and quickly lose perspective how cheap these are compared to the commercial units.
I was very tempted to get this cabinet. I held off just for no other reason than I didn't feel like spending the money haha. But I think it looks like a really fun game so if the price drops like ridge racer did I think I'll pull the trigger.
Well said! That’s what’s up. You expressed exactly how I feel. Too many people buy or don’t buy things based on what somebody else says or gets….I never understood this mentality. Saw the same thing happen with consoles and now home arcades. People need to understand the primary goal of some of these “content creators” is to get clicks. Buy wtf you want to have. I’m enjoying this cab and glad I passed on the others.
It’s genuinely fun to play, and I don’t see the problem with that. Had a house full this weekend & not one of my guests asked about the fps 😂 they loved the games
Are you feeling any of the rumble feature in the wheel during gameplay cuz I barely get any rumble at all, usually only when a car hits me from the side does it give any type of sensation or feedback
Looks awesome. I still have to build mine, got it yesterday. How do add the light up buttons. Is there a kit you can buy or tutorial you can point me towards.
I got this, I’d suggest adding a green & orange led button to your basket by searching in their search bar too, I forgot the green one before the review on accident 😂www.diyretroarcade.com/products/led-control-deck-upgrade-kit-compatible-with-mortal-kombat-arcade1up?_pos=6&_sid=d53ab6aa7&_ss=r
Thanks for putting this out there. I think this cab looks pretty cool. Love that you did the light up buttons....gives it that authentic look. Been wanting a racer and this one might be the one to get until others show up!
Thanks! Thought I had a green led for the nitro/start button but got caught lacking & wanted to get the review out relatively early. Still waiting on that & my marquee. Once the pedals get upgraded this might be in my top 3 fav 1up cabs.
I’ve honestly been fortunate enough to never have that happen. Worst damage I’ve had was a slight dent during shipping on the top right of my X-Men side panel. Nobody sees it but me, but it drives me crazy lol. I’ve probably bought about 15 of these & never had any serious issues🤞that 1up didn’t resolve within warranty. But honestly even my wave 1 cabs I reviewed 4 years ago are still holding up💪I gifted those to family & play them when I visit’em.
Just camera clipping on the “attract mode” doesn’t happen “in game” really & I’ve seen it happen on the arcade itself too. But hopefully they patch it, it’s why I didn’t edit it out.
@@halfadozen6 Well it's more so Arcade1Up doesn't want to pay licensing fees. Raw Thrills made the game obviously but to re-distribute it's under Arcade1Up. Again even if Raw Thrills skimped with the licensing, there's only 8 of the original like 25 cars, that's just so bone dry for something that costs $600
@@halfadozen6 If it's Raw Thrills cheaping out for this specific contract with Arace1up it's still pretty bad in my eyes. I could get an original FNF cabinet for around the same price on the used market which is why this is like especially bad. And they didn't really port their own game. It's just a reskinned FNF Tokyo Drift with the tracks added back from the first game and half the car list removed. It's not the true first game.

Thanks, I got the update last night! And no hard feelings, I missed a bunch of stuff I wanted to cover upon rewatching this today🤦🏻♂️
I couldn't believe one of the cabs I pre-ordered show up early. Got 2 of these F&F cabs, but if the link is bad one cab is going back.
How long is the return window? I’d give it until the actual release date at least.
@halfadozen6 It's through Best Buy so probably the standard 30 days from delivery I would think.

Totally agree. Just be thankful that they’ve even made it at all. Mines coming this week! I can’t wait!

This is a lot of fun. Just put mine together and yes I can play my PS5 but this totally takes me back to the arcade. Like a suped up Rush. Pick it up.

Thank you for showing the save system!!
🫵no problem😁
I love mine and i love the update that just happen'd. got a 2nd one because of it. so hype for the link stuff!
It looks super cool! Enjoy the multiplayer racing, if I was you I would skin one cabinet as Drift & leave the other stock.
@@halfadozen6 true. I have the perfect spot for them in my arcade room. Might have to take you up on that offer and skin it.
Great job on the review, F&F looks good and I like those upgrades you made to it 👍
Thanks man you got more cab in nets than a mf 😂
Nice it looks like you put light up buttons in there too 🔥
Not sure if you were asked but what light up buttons did you use? A honest review! Thank you in advance.

The fact that they axed the car list so bad there's empty slots in the picker speaks volumes
By “They” you mean Raw Thrills because they ported their own game here

Compared to the arcade version, this has been graphically dialed down to an arcade insulting level.
I would disagree. Seems to be locked in at a solid 30 fps, any graphical degradations you speak of are hardly noticeable on a 17 inch monitor.
