please fix Lee's link its not correct
Lee Wrathe is a UA-cam legend, and so hugely underrated. Absolutely no ego, and having spoken to him on numerous occasions, one of the nicest, humblest people you will meet. Love him to bits.
Steve Vai as a signature artist to design guitars & Lee Wrathe to promote them. Someone at Ibanez recruitment should be giving a masterclass.
More of Lee Wrathe in Anderton's videos, please!
This guy freaking shreds. I want more.
ua-cam.com/video/rokjPqJUoVk/v-deo.html
Hope Malmsteen isnt watching this. His ego wont be able to take it. He'll cry.
That Vai is nice but that RG behind Lee is stunning. The shades of blue and the blue inlays. That thing is a beauty.
It looks like just like a 1xxv except with a maple fretboard.
That piece of music completely eclipsed everything else in the video.
Absolutely gorgeous.
That pic-less demo was an eye-opener
His playing reminded me of Jeff Beck - technique, sounding almost like and his little stabs at the whammy bar. Very nice.
stunning!
You can play without the pick but if u want the pick sound there is no way to do it just with fingers, maybe with nails but nails wear out quickly..
You guys are doing such a good job with your interviewing during these times of separation. Thank you for continuing to put out the new content. Well done.
Lee Wrathe must be so happy to have that guitar in lockdown - to have the only one in europe at the moment must be satisfying for the soul.
I’m such a Lee Wrathe fan now.
I've been an owner of this guitar for about a month. It's now my personal favorite over the majesty. FREAKING AWESOME!
How does the neck compare to the majesty?
I had never heard of Lee Wrathe until this video. His right hand technique is so interesting and appealing, I had to bookmark his webpage and subscribe to his YT channel. Thinking of making the switch from a pick to his technique. Thanks for posting this!
Lee was probably my favourite reviewer back when he did stuff for Dawson's. Convinced me to get the Baja Telecaster. Showed every genre possible on that thing which totally sold me.
He sold the baja for me ...Best guitar 🎸 I've ever had.
@@tonycoles7197 i have often seen their videos: nothing's gonna tell me to buy anything
why ? not all the features were shown - different amps when they share 2 guitars
different pedalboards so, impossible to have a great review
but they are cool
Brilliant playing Maestro and fantastic tones. I’m sold! Fantastic interviewer and greatly appreciated.
This is genuinely one of the best guitarists I've ever heard.
Neil Baldacchino Yep. Amazing. At first I thought its another poser using lots of reverb and drums to make him sound better but oh boy when he started to shred I was blown away... godly
Super clean
I decided I wanted the RG in my profile pic because of his Ibanez demos hahahaha
That’s a big call. And yet totally accurate. He shreds yet has massive feel.
You had me at 'not too Liberace' :)
Super video Captain! Always full of information and nice conversations :) Thank you!
Love Lee and miss his Dawsons videos. Awesome guitarist! Nice to see him again.
Honestly, this interview was flawless considering the circumstances. Enjoyed it a lot.
Those were gorgeous tones!
Humble guy....scorching licks. Rare combination

@@joebryant8500 exactly, the 3 coloured finishes are only going to increase in value if you take care of the guitar since they're limited as well
@The Joker it will by definition be to YOUR spec though, of no value to anyone else. A Vai guitar however is extremely popular and a thing of beauty. They don't depreciate at all (apart from 20% once no longer new, and wear/tear) the limited edition ones actually increase in value.
£3099?
Do you live in a Shed or Caravan?
@@ivorharden no need to flex the fact you're rich, now now

Lee has the most jacked fingers ive ever seen, i need his practice routine
Love this channel and it’s content
These Guitars are Beautiful &. Sound GREAT!!! Kudos to Steve Vai. 1love
Lee is a beast of a player!
Lee too! 😉
great video best one so far of the pia. ty both lee's
Great segment LEE and LEE. Love Ibanez guitars (have 4) including the JEM. Would love to try the new PIA. Thanks for this demo.
Bravo to Lee for this amazing playing and composition. Lee's instrumental album in really great. Looking forward for more!
I totally remember that NAMM release of the Jem. We all lost our minds. The build up was incredible with those teaser advertisements.
Jesus Christ. Soul, feeling and technique in that. Not many guys can do that circular vibrato technique.
Amazing Guitar and very talented guitarist! The tune is beautiful.👍🏻👍🏻
Very inspirational player indeed...Great interview by the way...
Killer player, there’s your next presenter Captain.
He lacks Chapman's charisma, but so be it.
@@fernandes5986 I think a lot of us might enjoy less of that "charisma"..... lol
By “charisma” do you man ego ???
Honestly, give it up with the boring Rob mocking already.
Lee Wrathe is certainly an awesome shred genre guy. I miss Rob's chemistry with the other Anderton's guys
Great video!
Lee is just the best at Vai phrasing and tone, jaw dropping and moving all at the same time!
That guitar looks and sounds phenomenal
(incidentally that video of SV's guitar collection is well worth a watch)
The gold hardware is gorgeous! It's going to be a great guitar for some lucky folks. Good stuff guys!!
I bought my son a Pia Steve Vai Stallion White for Christmas. They're pricey, but worth every dime.
Got to keep the videos rolling
Definitely looking at this to eventually sit alongside my early 90s Jem
OMG!!!! This guy is a phenom!
Whoah! Dude Shreds!
STeve Vai signatures. You know this is going to get a lot of views.
Indeed! 1love
This is a great video......Lee Wrathe what a genuine guy.... stunning player and addictive personality......Andertons put him under contract.
Lee Wrathes tune has echoes of the Local Hero tune By Mark Knopfler, must check out Lees album
Awesome, Lee Wrathe, what a maestro, he can sure make that Pia sing.
Wow that guys a monster player!!
such a beautiful guitar
Lee Wrathe is awesome, listening to awakening on Spotify & love “losing you”. On the back of this downloaded some of his tutorials from his website great stuff. Andertons need this guy on more often Captain!
Wow, what a lovely guitar, genius player 🎸
havent seen the Captain smile like that in a video for age. He likes this guitar!
I’d love the black Pia, beautiful guitar
Love this guitar!
Killer guitar killer guitar player.. Lee is truly an amazing guitar presenter / demo God
Love both Lee!
Lee Cooper :)
shades of "The Gael" love it!
yeah i remember Lee Wrathe, he was the guy who would review guitars for Dawson music.. he's reviews were short and amazing because he would play the same riff on different pickups (so you could hear the difference) and then play with more gain, same riff for different pickups.. as far as his skills were concerned, we alreaady knew he was aa huge Vai fan.. his most amazing review came from the Blue Floral Jem (made in Indonesia) if i remember it correctly.. it was a video where he played 'BLUE POWDER'.. i'm a huge steve vai fan too and 'BLUE POWDER' is a song which only at least 1% or less of the steve fans would touch.. i don't even fancy playing the song (it's so hard, btw i can play 'die to live'), but all of us Lee Wrathe fans and steve vai fans were floored when he played 'blue powder'.. even steve vai himself took notice of the lee wrathe video.. good thing Ibanez noticed him too and i'm just haappy for him...
Absolutely beast of a guitar player Lee is. Dude can sell a box and rubber bands if he played it
6:09 : If Steve Vai and Mark Knopfler made music together. Love it !
Good call. I noticed a bit of the Knoff there too. What a combo. That guy is great.
Oh this is the dude that does/did Dawson's music videos. He's a really really excellent player.
Yes, original Jems introduced prior to 1993 (and the 30th ann. models) had the squarish block-style neck joint. Any new Jem and Universe models introduced 1993 or later featured Ibanez's All-Access Neck Joint like you see on the PIA.
Incredible "Vai meets Knopfler" tune starts at 6:09
What a cool new version of the Steve Vai guitar! So cool. Andertons rocks!
Love lee wrathe album on Spotify. Never heard his music before seeing this video. Wow
Lee is a monster of a player!
I realised that we need more shredders on Andertons tv. I mean i enjoy petes music playing but i want more rabea going mental on guitars!
Watch Rob playing
It can be fun to play guitars that don’t normally fit the genre. T-Model Ford style with his crazy Peavey rocking the blues! Most definitely Rock some blues on that sig model Captain Lee! Thanks for keeping us entertained during crazy times!!!
HERE FOR THIS
Awesome guitar 🎸 wish I could afford a green one.
lee is the most underrated player on this platform im a big fan since years
Lee Wrathe plays with the same technique I do; we both put the guitar on our right knee!
Lee Wrathes composition starting at @ is brilliant, reminiscent of 'On The Turning Away - Pink Floyd.
very.!.. its a dream that somehow.....light is changing to shadow
He's definitely a Vai fan, his vibrato shows it. Great player!
Multitasking while watching. 12 minutes in before I noticed you two aren't in the same room.
My first thought on Lee's first tune was "if Steve Vai had spent the week listening to Stuart Adamson and Big Country" my second thought was "this is bloody good!!"
Nice guitar too.
Danish Pete and Lee jam when things return to normal please.
How does this dude with short sausage fingers and baseball mitts for hands shred like that!? He's unbelievable. So incredibly skilled, and seemed like such a nice guy to boot. Bring him back for more videos, great presenter.
Wether you like it or not... The attention to detail on that guitar is 💯👌🔥
Lee is such a great guitarist
Cool..I learned a new saying... too Liberorachy...
Your Expression was The quickest flick Mr. Captain! xD at 25:15
Really cool guitar! I wish Ibanez did something with the inlays that were different.
The AANJ has been on Jems for years, looking forward to a maple or ebony fretboard versions though
Not a big Ibanez fan normally, but I like this one a lot. I bet it looks great in pink too...
once this virus is over i wanna see sound like Steve Vai
You mean be sound he is sound itself
@@silverpairaducks you can buy this model+tube preamp + your hands
Ibanez JEM JR
Synergy Steve Vai Pre Amp
Bad Horsie Wah
Digitech Whammy
TC Flashback
EHX Oceans 11
you could also get some other pedals and stuff too depending on what excerpts they choose
I think it's tricky since imo his tone itself isn't that distinct but he's a master at using effects and his playing is really specific and hard to emmulate.
Sun Dew Gold PIA or Envy Green please santa, if it's safe for you to visit everyone later in the year! :) Great video, looks and sounds great.
holy moly!
I like how Lee talks about himself in 3rd person
I want the pink one.
Over this past few years I've been doubting to mods the jem pickups with something with cover like the Gibson lespaul pickups, ifeel it won't looks good...and when I first saw PIA wooow that's looks amazing and suit the guitar very well...
What guitar did Lee show him when he was talking about the pickups?
Hi!I am Andertons's fans,I come from China, and there are a lot of Chinese like your video!!!So I hope your video can be subtitled, we can learn a lot from yours!!!
Lee W is awesome
Just found this interview and my word, Lee W is an absolute gentleman. What a totally lovely guy. MONSTER player, superb brand ambassador and someone I could watch demonstrate a kitchen blender. Ibanez are very, very lucky to have him. And, of course, the Captain - just a Jem (see wot I did there). I’d honestly suggest he should get an MBE - just the best British retailer and someone who has entertained, advised and helped me in my guitar journey for years now. I feel teary-eyed. I wish they’d both read this because honestly, this is the Best of British. And naturally, I’m now looking to buy a PIA on the strength of this,
Eric Johnson tested both tremolo arms and he concluded that the Ultralite bar sounds superior ONLY when the nylon bushings have endured between precisely 33.1 and 48.65331 hours of use. After that he says the guitar starts to sound a bit muddy and you lose 0.0417% of the flutter sustain. When the folks at Hoshino received his report, they conferred with Thomas Nordegg who showed them a little "day of show" trick involving Velcro and a lighter. Eric is now testing it again to be sure.
Beautiful guitar and beautiful playing. I'm 95% acoustic guitar, but I'm in the market for a seriously good electric guitar. This is certainly a shortlisting.
Holy shit he can play !!!!!!!
Great job making this vid in Covid times.
Hire him to demo the shredy stuff 👌🏻
