Comparison between new JBL 305P and Edifier R1700BT. You can get pair of R1700BT's for a price of just one 305P, but can it compete with bigger and pricier studio monitor in terms of sound quality?
Build quality and features is where Edifier has JBL checked. Solid cabinets, nice finish and host of useful features like Bluetooth connectivity and remote control means that R1700BT will be a great choice for anyone looking for versatile multimedia speaker. Another advantage of Edifier is much lower hiss levels, compared to JBL 305P.
Soundwise JBL shows why it is so regarded studio monitor though. Open and detailed midrange, sweet and airy treble, solid bass response and nice overall balance all mean that You will stay engaged while listening to music or watching movies while using 305P. Edifier trails behind, but by nit as much as one would expect while looking at the price difference. R1700BT sounds "top heavy" with boosted upper midrange and treble while the lower mids are lacking a bit. Also bass response is boosted in the upper range and a bit lacking in the low to mid range. Still, in my opinion Edifier is one of the best propositions at its price point , just as JBL is at its.

a pair of JBL 305p costs 4x (about 475usd converted) as the edifier r1700bt in my country, its crazy. Would love to get the JBL but the price is just not worth it anymore
I really wonder if the Edifier could not come closer with the help of an equalizer. The effect of changing to the Edifier to is like less deep bass 40 Hz and more of 10 kHz high treble. There is also the never done test of which one sounds best at low volume since we all live small today.
I have a pair of R1700BTs. I enjoy them almost everyday via 3.5mm input or bluetooth. Soo happy to see how well they can compare with the industry leading JBL 305p MKIIs in this comparison video. Actually your earlier uploads about R1700BTs compelled me to get a pair of my own. Thanks and keep it up.

i think for the price edifier its very competitive, between edifier and the jbl there arent a lot difference, edifier have less bass (not a lot) , but in the middle and high they are so similar, anyway both need a subwoofer to complete it imho, i will buy edifier

I could legitimately tell how different they sounded even through my iPad speakers.
It's so weird watching this while actually using R1700BT speakers, lol... the JBL sound so much better, with more crisp and well-defined highs and mids, but then I realize, wow, that's my speakers doing that, lol!.

The 305s definitely! The Edifiers sound like they're being played through a paper towel tube. Btw, I can hear no hiss coming from my JBL305s sitting about 3 ft from them, but I had to use a balanced 1/4" cable. It was annoying before that, but now I don't here it at all, unless

Прикольно сделано сравнение с источником. Вот источнику Еdifier уступает серьезно, а от JBL не большая разница. Хотя, конечно, Эдик маленький, ничего не попишешь - физически не в силах соперника превозмочь
"Источник" - это Ваша АС :) Очевидно, что абсолютно всё в данных роликах будет звучать хуже, чем "источник". Вы хотите сказать, что ЖБЛ через микрофон-ютуб-Вашу же акустику звучит лучше, чем просто Ваша акустика?) Волшебство, не иначе ..
Андрей Навроцкий , наоборот. Моя АС звучит лучше, когда тракт короче, т.е. без JBL и микрофона. Звук источника, который предлагает автор ролика, полнее и насыщеннее, чем звук с тестируемых колонок.

oleg ozon , забавно. Я слушал стань на примерно такой же странице Edifier r1850db, впечатления схожие, но выражены не так эмоционально. Здесь два подхода, аудиофильский и житейский. В первом случае мы стремимся к идеалу, который, как известно, не достижим. Поэтому мы всегда не удовлетворены. Второй подход - выбор наилучшего варианта за свои деньги. За цену до 10 тысяч "срань", на мой слух, вполне неплоха. Если есть до 20 тысяч на звук, то JBL, без сомнения, лучше. Моё мнение.
@@goncharbysh67 такое впечатление, что у R1700BT набор звуков а не музыка, при том что это компьютерное мультимедиа и правдивость здесь невозможна и должна быть как минимум озвучка композиции. человек покупая "такую махину для компа" надеяться послушать музыку, а получает набор отрывистых звуков. рок играет еще терпимо, но остальное совсем плохо.
JBL 305P MKII звучат более или менее, как студийные мониторы. Чувствуется стремление разработчиков сделать ровную, не украшенную АЧХ. А вот ребята из Китайской компании сделали просто компьютерные колонки, которые даже эту свою задачу выполняют достаточно посредственно. Лучше уж купить M-Audio BX5. По цене, наверное, так же, а вот звучат просто отлично. Хотя сложно судить о звуке по видео из UA-cam))
Мне звук больше нравится на edifier, у тебя с ушами проблемы, сын потаскухи.

Im almost to order or buy edfier. Im glad not to buy it and chance my mind to buy JBL. Because trebell seems like entering the sand. 😅😆😂😝
