This is a great demo. It really helps to see the workflow of an entire session rather than just talking about it for ten minutes. I know some people won't stick around for the entire thing, but some will and pick up a few tips about recording.

I bought my Arrow three years ago and mostly use it to record vocal.

Help. I recently bought the arrow but I have a connection problem with Thunderbolt 3 because I use Windows USB I don't know if there is any way to adapt it ?????????????

Fantastic demo. While I can't justify an 8p with my current requirements I can justify an Arrow. Explaining the subsequent plug-in charges to my wife will be another challenge. ;)

It's nice to see a small footprint interface with the XLRs on the back so I don't have to have cables strung over my desk... Now if I could justify yet another interface upgrade right now...

Just picked up the 'American' version of a Sigma, an AMI - absolutely DIG it! A GREAT 'budget' acoustic.
Seems a great product like. Pete's bass playing though.... Class! Same right hand technique as Sting. Pete da BOMB! :-)

Very interesting and I would be interested in buying this. The only thing is, I have a BeyerDynamic studio headphone (250 ohm) On my current interface I have to put the headphone volume way up to get some sound while recording and mixing. How is that with the Arrow? Can it drive 250 ohm headphones? Thank you in advance and greetings from Holland. Dirk
The single most important thing to me is lowest latency. Everything else can be tweaked with software.

Sorry, guys one minute you have no wires connected to the UA, next second you have the UA unit fully wired and not shown which inputs for mic? I was trying to work out which wires but cannot ? Not helpful?

I just purchased this machine. I have the MKH 416 mic and I want to record into the Apollo. What are some good vocal settings and is it necessary to edit in post afterwards? Like in adobe audition or should I be all set just using the Apollo using any software to record?

He totally did not understand Lee when he said he wanted the Auto Wah quack sound on the solo. I could tell he was after that ol Mu Tron 3 type of effect (think 311 Sanddollars / Garcia). That effect would have layered on that nicely. The good part is that you can easily take that part out and record it again with that Arrow unit.

Universal Audio made the right move branching out to the nonprofessional market. What they've done was give low budget/ bedroom/ small studio guys UA quality in small, simplistic, and affordable package, people dont seem to understand this. This reason this small interface is $500 is because you're getting high quality professional grade internals. Compare this interface with a Focusrite interface with the same ins/ outs and features for half the price and I gaurantee the difference in audio quality will be more than significant. Theres a reason brands like Focusrite are so inexpensive, because they make a very low quality product. You get what you pay for.

Was thinking about it - cheaper way of getting in to UAD, but then having to spend £1500 to replace my 2011 Macbook Pro just for Thunderbolt 3.... put me off.

From what I understand, one plugin assigned to the input channel on device, they will come from the left side of control program, the others, like reverb etc, can be pass thru, hear it while recording but not printed, or it can be printed, but its more like a plugin than assigned. I think the duos allow more assigned to the input. There are Solos and Duos

Please release a non-rackmounted TB3 quad DSP chip device. I do a lot of recording on the go and in the car, and while this device is great for that, the DSP limitation is really holding me back. I constantly have to freeze tracks, and some combinations of UAD plugins I can't use.
Enough DSP to commit to a sound? Not in a million years.

Also, this video nicely demonstrates an issue that they continue to ignore. Only one headphone jack!
Glad to see a more affordable UA interface, probably massification will drop the price of plugins. I use an Apollo Twin MKII. The difference between UA interfaces and all others is massive. There is a reason why they are the industry standard nowadays.

Bro, this video is from 2018, Luna wasn’t even announced. 😄 So, no you don’t have to use Luna. I’m running the plug-ins through their Console app to Logic.

Nope. Just newer ones with Thunderbolt 3. Or buy a powered Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2/1 hub. If you find one, let me know?

The room mic i's probably set up to be omnidirectional and picks up a lot of reverberation from the room

No, that’s not what he’s asking. You need to route the inserts on the AUXs in Console (pause the video where he shows how it’s setup) to your DAW, select them as inputs in your DAW and record them along with your regular input. If you’re new to Console/inserts, check out UADs demo on the Marshall Plexi, he will give you an idea.

just got one of these and cant get rid of static in my monitors, this is very frustrating since literally everything im using is brand new. i got the static to go away twice but now now matter what i do, it crackles n pops whenever i play any sound, speakers or headphones

You never went over the processing power of the single chip with all these plugins applied simultaneously?
How's that possible? Other people said that only two simultaneous plugins pushed their chip over the edge.
Depends on which plugins and how you use it, they probably used console to print the processing per track. So only three or four plugins are really active at all times during the mixing.
Where is the link to the tech channel singing part that Pete announced? The interface seems to be good and moreso the plugins - but for me it's too pricy to consider switching from an M-Audio M-Track 2x2 which sounds absolutely alright and my Mac can handle the plugins so far. Maybe the singing video makes me reconsider ;)

Hello all PLEASE help! It seems Plugging in my Arrow causes heavy CPU spikes (up to 500 percent on activity monitor) when using with audio programs, Ableton, Logic X even Spotify, Can't record anything proper at all. Programs run absolutely fine and smooth when there is no interface plugged in. Any one know the solution?
Running latest Mojave OS version on 2017 Macbook pro and latest versions of software. Had same issues on my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 so I upgraded to Arrow but same problems persist. Glitchy audio, skipping audio and random cutouts. Had these issues since High Sierra. Similar to popular reported audio problems caused by the T2 security chip on the 2018 macbooks, but I have T1 chip so not sure what's going on. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
It’s a problem of your computer, my friend, probably something on the logic board as you say it fails only when an interface is connected. My recommendation would be to take it to Apple for diagnostics.
Whats the minimum pc specs you need? Will input lag be an issue or is the Arrow do all the hard work so wont matter as much pc specs. I find the lag is the biggest issue with audio interface. Looks pretty stock standard though it would also be nice if the thing could set the levels for you like the roland.
If only this worked with an iPad Pro!
