7:40 ahh, my time to shine 😂😂 His surname is pronounced basically like saying the letters: O-T-N-O Or spelling the word "onto" backwards... That'll give you the basic form of what it's supposed to sound like. To get it pretty much 100% switch the first "O" for the "O" sound in "octagon".
in rugby when you scoring a try (what ya'll would call a touch down) when possible, you want to place the ball down as closest to the posts as possible. The place you score the try determines where you kick your conversion from...so the closer to the posts you place the ball down on the better the angle you have to kick the conversion.
Welcome to Rugby 7’s. The season is just starting. And maybe you will finally seeing the US play some half decent rugby haha. But on a real I’m sure you will enjoy rugby 7’s if you check any out. A it’s similar but have some obvious and some not to obvious differences and nuances. (Personally as a 15’s union player who’s plays 1 or 3 and lacks the speed and stamina for 7’s I have a bias towards ‘standard’ rugby both playing and watch) however I do think you guys who enjoy it ❤
Blocking? NO! You may not impede anyone's progress unless they have the ball. Not only that but, if you are in front of the ball(carrier) you are offside and cannot participate in play in any way. On him slowing down This guy is playing 7s not 15s. It's a bit different. There is less than half as many people on that huge field. That leaves a hell of a lot of space to exploit so the game is much faster. It becomes a sprint fest. So much so that there is only 14 minutes of playtime. I remember a guy who played Wide Receiver for the Bengals and had switched to rugby saying that the first time he got put into a 7s match he was begging the coach to take him off after 3 minutes. No one was going to catch this guy so he and every one else on the pitch decided to take a bit of a breather. Now, if his team was ahead or if his score would put them ahead, the smart move would be not to put the ball down. The smart move is to stand in goal with the clock ticking away until someone actually challenges his ability to so. Generally, if they have the skill, short guys play Scrum Half, #9, that is not on the outside and he/she is expected to be where the ball is no matter where it is. The guys on the outside need to be fast. Height doesn't matter and short people that are also speedy can end up there. If you want to see one of my favorite short guys (retired) check out Sean Williams.
In 7's Rugby you must be very fit and fast. When you score then you kick off. Blocking in Rugby is called obstruction and is a penalty.
Yup. Can't obstruct someone who doesn't have the ball
That is the Kenya. Rugby team
Kenyans can run..😮
Kenyan rugby is usually about physicality
Oh how i wish Ghana🇬🇭 and Nigeria 🇳🇬was part of this game cos we also watch
The conversion is kicked from where the pill (ball) is touched down.
You guys are funny.
Willy ambaka 😈🔥 was another beast

You can only block someone with the ball.
No we dont block...blocking is obstruction and will be a penalty fot the opposition
Its funny, when i watch NFL clips, they block players who haven't got the ball, its awkward 😅
