Your channel is one of my favorites on UA-cam. Long form, short form, you have literally changed my life. I don't make money with Blender yet, but I've been able to keep my life expenses down with this hobby and have been able to make things I never though possible. I'm planning on getting a 3D scanner to pair with my printer and modeling skills. Thank you for all you've done in this community. I was really sad when I heard you were going to switch to walking across the US, but I support you and your goals and am ecstatic that you are back. Whatever you choose to do, you have my attention
Maybe I have discovered why my Blender-Fu sucks so bad after all this time, I'm always looking for the cows to come home not the horses... Been looking for the wrong animals. 😂
I found something interesting, I think Cycles touches a surface and for each shader counts a ray depth i.e. if you have four shaders it counts one light ray collision with a surface as four. I discovered that as I splite the spectrum up into six bands and quickly the render engine slowed massively.
love the video the beaty of it is amazing, could you make this with a procedural material or with geoometry nodes, i dont think of a way to do it, like "cell fractures is dead" kind of title would amaze everyone

Thank you so much Conner 🫡
Wholesome moment. ❤
Can I be two to add to that and just agree on all you just sad there sam for me can’t wait to buy your book and paytron
I had no idea you could take a texture and "paint it" on a surface. This was a beautiful and concise workflow demonstration, thank you.
that looks doable, imma try it
Your genius refracts through once again! 👏👏👏
The idea of mixing the glass BSDFs with each other is just so crisp!
Beauiful! (Heavy Brittish accent)

You're awesome. LOL.
ragtime is too future for some people but I think it was the perfect music for this
3D chromatic aberration, that's really ingenious
Cool method!
What if you make the breaking bad blue crystal meth? That would be a cool tutorial not gonna lie.
My brush isnt showing the texture with the imported rock image
looks so cool. Weird how realistic it looks for such a node graph idk xD
That looks gorgeous!
😮
Great video!, but for some reason i cant get the texture to appear.
Noice! Quick and painless :)
First
my favorite youtuber
Mine too!
Ever tried the noise method for dispersion? It actually disperses all colors instead of 3 red, green and blue bands.
Can you elaborate on this method?
@@smallcranberry4163-fh6in there is a video on the channel CG Vertex that explains it, I don't know if I can post the link here...

dude.. how can you this smart? I mean.. really.. You're a f*king genius..
Thank you for your service to the Blender community Mr. CGMatter. You CGMatter to us all.
When geometry nodes part 2
Can the whole thing including the ior and translucency be baked down into texture maps?
But can you do it procedurally?
Nice tutorial !
PS : Didn't like the music though :! No music at all would've prolly been better but wtv :P
AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I love it
Awesome ❤
