    These are beautiful! And your instructions are so clear and precise. The only thing I will do different is instead of crimping the middle of the bottom of the scales to make it go around the egg, I will cut a little notch there. For me, this will be easier as I am losing my ability to do fine work like the crimping. I will let you know how the notching of the paper works. Anyhoo, I love the metallic look, so I will be looking for paper in all the metallic colours! Thank you for sharing this lovely craft! 💕🎄

    I just saw your channel for the first time today. The first one I watched was the beautiful tree you decorated with these pine cones. Both sizes of pine cone you paper crafted are so well done, that I could easily imagine them in Pottery Barn. So well done, from the materials, to the colors, to the glitter embellishment, completed by your detailed execution. Perfect!

    I love this! If I made 1” scales, would those fit the small egg? I made a mistake cutting and only rewatched the video today to hear they should be 2.5” each! Wanted to use the 100 scales i neatly folded 😫

    Stunning, I think I will use the same pretty Champagne Gold Christmas paper on my pinecones, it will look lovely with my matching wrapped presents, I'm getting excited at doing this, thank you and a Very Merry Christmas to all from Australia where our Christmas' are hot and colourful with Prawns, Lobsters, Cold Ham, Mango Salsas, Pineapple Passionfruit Mango and Kiwi Fruit Pavlovas, Ice-cream puddings with fresh cherries, mango and passionfruit mixed in and drizzled with chocolate and pistachio nuts and a variety of salads all washed down with a cranberry fruit punch, champagne or ales to drink.

    Nice creation! But are the pins really necessary since the hot glue sets up so quickly?

    • @FancyBloom
      @FancyBloom  11 місяців тому +1

      In my case, I could only use glue, but I wanted to share the original technique. If your paper is thinner, you might not need glue at all. Overall, feel free to choose between glue or pins based on your preference.

    Please could you tell me, could I just cut the corners off instead of folding them? I love them I am going to try but I will make a mess I’m sure. I can’t quite understand do you start with four pieces and then five, then six. Am I just dumb? 😂😂

    • @FancyBloom
      @FancyBloom  11 місяців тому +1

      I think that if you just cut the corners, you won't get such a beautiful effect. Yes, the first row is 4 scales - two opposite each other, and the subsequent scales are the second row, going below the first. Hope this helps❤️

    This look amazing.But unfortunately, it's terrible for the environment.All that polystyrene, glue and glitter (which is basically microplastics) i hope will not end up in the trash too soon. :( Please, i hope you will at least conside not using so much glitter int future? Not only is it hard to clean and you'll find it everywhere in the house for a while, it's also bad for our health and the nature since it never disappears, it only gets smaller and smaller (that is the case with every plastic item out there). It's true that we can't avoid it in our everyday life but we can choose to make decorations with more natural elements insetad of buying all these things.
