    Oh, my goodness! I just rejoined after moving to a fabulous over 55 community 6 years ago. We go out to eat a lot and almost every meeting or activity has snacks and wine! WW has changed so much. Thanks to this wonderful video I found “lists” and amazingly, many of the foods I had marked form years ago are still there! I’ve been driving myself nuts searching and not finding my old tried and true choices. Thanks SO much!

    Thank you! I didn’t know how to do recipes. Question: Today I ate out and had Grilled chicken with spinach on a small bed of spaghetti w/marinara. I only ate half of it. I’m sure it was cooked in olive oil, garlic. Do I just estimate each item as if I made it at home?

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  Рік тому +1

      That's what I usually do. If the restaurant or item I get at a restaurant isn't listed in the WW app, I just do my best to estimate, and I usually add a few extra points for the "just in case" butter they may use, etc. Most importantly, I try not to worry about a night of eating out. It's important to go out and enjoy company, so I just do my best at estimating and move on. :)

      You know, I'm not even sure of how to pull up favorites. I'll have to look at the app and see if I can find it. I don't usually mark anything as favorites. However, usually for things that I track a lot, those just always show up in my recents as soon as I start typing it. I'll play around with the app and see what I can find.

    If I’ve found a recipe that has all the nutritional information where do I put that information to find the points values

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  4 місяці тому

      You would need to create the recipe in the WW app. If you were to use the food calculator, it won't take into account any of the zero point ingredients. So you can just build the recipe in the app one time, and it will be there the next time you make it.

    How do i know how much a serving size is if I’m making chili for example?

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  7 місяців тому

      It really comes out to how much you end up with. Usually the first time I make something, I just weigh it all out after and determine how many servings I want to make it and then that determines the number of servings. Once you weigh (or measure) the entire thing the first time, then you usually get the same each time after that.

    How long have you been on ww and how much have you lost?

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  10 місяців тому

      Hi there! WW has been a good part of my life, but over the last couple of years, my whole mindset has changed from weight loss to health. So, my story is a bit of a long one. So here it goes. LOL I lost 93 pounds on Weight Watchers and became a lifetime member back in 2005. However, it was about weight loss and not health then. I restricted myself and overexercised and didn't learn anything. In 2019, my husband and I joined online. He lost 70 pounds and has maintained it ever since. I lost about 50 and then when Covid hit, things were kind of on hold as far as weight loss. I then went through a couple years of "experiences", I guess you could say - trying to work with my doctors and dietician about what was best for me (I suffer from ulcerative colitis, so that can sometimes be difficult to balance the healthier options) - learning about intuitive eating, etc. So, this year in January, I put my app back in lose mode instead of maintain, but I'm choosing to just shoot for 1/2 pound per week as that's what works best for me individually. I try to focus on health now rather than weight (which has made a huge positive impact on my bloodwork). Plus I go through periods of time where I choose to just maintain rather than be in weight loss mode. I look at WW as not just for weight loss but a way to maintain and not gain my previous weight back, which has worked! I've really learned a lot that it's more about lifestyle changes for me. I just don't want to be at a point where the scale defines me. Sorry that was so long, but it's so hard to answer that question without going into everything. Hope that was helpful! :)
