My T5 has an Eberspacher mounted under the van with the intake pipe going to the drivers step and the outlet ducted through the floor under the drivers seat and directed to the rear of the van, the Eberspacher pump is silent so if the ticking drives you mad you could try one of them. Five Kw is bonkers in a transporter you’ll get boiled alive lol !

Just insulate that exhaust really good. In my city we had already 2 deaths beacuse the gases were leaking in to the car,or put really loud carbonmonoxide sensor.

Thank you for another too video Nathan. Can't beat a diesel heater for highly efficient heating and they're especially handy when doing some stealth camping.

Got the same heater as this, glad I put the 5kw in my fully converted VW t5. I fitted my one over a year ago and finger's crossed it's never let me down . Love the video as always 👍

Hi Nathan, i have a small chinesium one running on full load in my garage for winter time. Runs only on diesel. No problems. Heard from buddys they trying to run theirs on used oil. Short time after they failed.
    Very good video!
    Regards Greg

The small one is 2kw and ideal for the smaller vans.
When you go crafter the 5kw seem to be better on the bigger vans

Great stuff as always Nathan; every time I see that masterpiece that is your bespoke 2nd row in that T5 I’m just 😍😍😍
A bit off topic but did you ever put a Reversing Camera on your T5 when you did the head unit?
If not, fancy doing it and talking us through how to get the power off the rear light aye? 😉

Ayup Nathan, I might treat myself to one of those for the bayliner, think your old one is finally on its last legs.
Quick update on the bayliner, was hoping to get it into the water this year but other things got in the way, completely refurb the interior, going to be pulling out the engine after Christmas to give it a complete going over, paint, different heat exchanger for peace of mind and in the water in May.
By the way, do you still have that other om606?
Have a great Christmas and New year, absolutely love your videos, getting better every time, watching every one

with these things for reliability meeting heat target far better to have a small one running flat out and hot than a bigger one running at low temp what causes them to carbon up ONLY EVER change to a bigger one of the one already in is struggling to meet desired temp

DO NOT USE OLD ENGINGE OIL . IT WILL SOOT UP IN NO TIME AND GIVE YOU LOADS OF PROBLEMS . TRUST IVE BEEN THERE .WHAT YOU CAN DO IS USE A SMALL RADIATOR TO RUN THE EXHAUST THROUGH IT THATS FOR A WORK SHOP THOU
