Glad you liked it! We liked being closer to the beach. We were an 8 minute walk to the beach and the wa part of our daily walk. Our stay was in January and not crowded. We are not sure what it is like in November or if it would make any difference to your choice of location. Closer to the center you will find more grocery opens and even a movie theater above the continente? grocery store. Hopefully that helps? Enjoy your stay in Portimao!
