Hi myself and my partner has just bought an apartment in sunny beach this year ❤ we have been going to sunny beach for the past 11 years and love it we are from Dublin we really like your video it shows everything you need to know about sunny beach I would recommend anyone going to sunny beach for holidays to only go to apartment's that way you can't go wrong 🤜🤛great job guys
There's a bar in Alvor that used to do a pint of Estrella for 80c! After just reading reviews, it appears to have gone up to €1.25 but that's ALL DAY! It's called Pasteleria Suiça. We will be visiting again for sure.
You guys are fantastic, usually people doing these get so annoying 😂but you too never! You are so down to earth and funny and most importantly so informative as we are staying in portimao in September and can't wait , thanks for all you do ❤Lorna from Tipp 😊
Went to Portugal for the first time in September, we stayed at Albufeira for 7 days and Lisbon for 3 days. Beautiful country! I know now why so many Brits/Irish visit this wonderful country.
Im off to portimao next may with my sister. Thanks for this video guys. We'll definitely visit a few of the places you both went to and the recommendations you gave. We cannot wait! Thank you.
Hi guys have totally enjoyed your videos on Portugal. Does Praia da Rocha totally die a death in November as we are going there on the 2nd Nov next weekend?
What an epic looking Beach and you could get an idea of the hotness from the video so those cold beer probably really came in handy. Looks like a really nice place!
Great video as usual, I've stayed in Praia da Rocha 3 times now such a lovely place, There's some nice bars at the bottom end of the strip and nice hotels as well the Oriental is nice, There's a great hotel 5 minutes in called Jupiter Marina which is close to the old town, keep up the work and enjoy yourselves.
I moved to Lagos 4 weeks ago and I’m loving it so far ❤🙏🏻🇵🇹🤩🌅 it’s an amazing lifestyle and I’ve been making the most of exploring Lagos and albufeira so far
If you’re here for a while maybe we could meet up for a beer or coffee at some point, I live near Lagos so I’m there quite a lot but also like to go exploring most weekends, this frodayI’m in Albufeira as I love the old town there and the beach, I’ll be checking out snoopys bay again as I went there a couple of weeks ago and loved the vibe and the staff were brilliant
@@GoTimeTravels I’m living at a B&B in the hills near Lagos, I’ve been to Lagos for a couple of nights out, also to albufiera but planning on visiting Sagres, portimao and villamoura soon, it’s the most amazing place in the world and I’ve been to Mexico, Jamaica, turkey, Greece, lanzarote, Barbados and many more places but this is where I want to lay my hat 🧢! 😂 hopefully I’ll be here forever 🙏🏻🙌🏻🇵🇹

We are Canadian & our dollar is not strong compared to the euro. It cost us $1.47 dollars to buy one euro; therefore 2 beer for 7 euros would actually be converted to $10.29 Canadian. Therefore, it’s really expense for us to travel there however, even with additional cost, it didn’t keep us from loving our stay there three weeks ago. Love your video. Wish we had known about your videos before we got there.
We want to go to tourist areas like most people do; therefore, I was commenting on your video so that other people watching it would be aware of conversion. The price you indicated converted is what we would be playing in Canada. If you’re paying in euros (which you are) is a great deal for you.
Awesome video. We are originally from the Azores living in Canada and have not visited the Algarve area yet. Beautiful video. Do you have the name of the apartment where you stayed? ❤❤❤
Finally a decent walking tour, thanks for pointing out prices etc, the Irish Rover is our favourite place to sit and drink, if you get back I recommend the Santa Bernada boat tour
We are visiting Portugal for the first time in 3 weeks from now. I loved your videos from your last trips as we are coming to an area very close to you (Ferragudo). would be great if you could do a more up to date visit there for us coming over 😜.
Staying in "fisherman" village of Ferragudo, you're in Lagoa area, so you must consider rent a car and go to Carvoeiro village (nice restaurants) and a quick visit to Algar Seco. Also explore the secret intricate beaches near by (Carvalho, Centeanes, Marinha, Albandeira, Sra. da Rocha, and Benagil with the most IG famous grout, visited only by small boat). Portimão city on the other side of the Arade river is completely diferent, more urban, with a nice Marina and all of city life has to offer (alot of fish and sea food restaurants, shops, bars, shopping moll etc). Praia da Rocha is the main touristic and known beach, but you also have Praia do Vau, Prainha, Caniço (acessed by a public lift inside Prainha Villa), 3 Irmãos and Alvor . A visit to Lagos is also mandatory. Cheers from Lisbon.
@@miguelrecio7464 thanks for the travel tips. I have a car from the airport until we go back to Scotland. So 11 days to visit the Algarve, and I fully intend to take advantage of having the car. All your suggestions have been added to our list of places to visit while there. We have an 8 year old boy with us, I assume he will be well catered for in all these areas?
If ye haven’t walk the other way to pria de vau amazing stark Resturant there and also fab renovated cottage with spectacular view of the cliffs and beach with nice tapas too

Thanks Samantha & Caolain ☺ It's great to see you back in Portugal & by sheer coincidence my vlogs are coming from there at the moment! 😉 After trying the native pastéis de nata I came back to Ireland & tried to savour the ones Lidl sells at €3 for 4, but I was no longer able to fathom them 😒 Luckily there's a snackbar in Kilkenny, next to MacDonagh Junction, which sells them at €2 each called Algarve Grill & they apparently have them made in nearby Carlow. I believe SuperValu & Dunnes sell them but they sell out very fast from there! There's actually a bar next to the Farmers' Market in Funchal selling a 500ml draft Superbock for only €2 & that was the all day price! I now try & go to where the locals eat if possible for the best prices, but you have to love the views & atmosphere of the places you've visited, so I wouldn't mind spending a bit more to relish them! Have an amazing weekend my friends 🤗
@@GoTimeTravels I thought you were ignoring me since I didn't get a reply lol! 🤣 😜 I know you're so busy times. Algarve Grill I don't think is known too well outside Kilkenny & the local Portuguese population. Their pastéis de nata are made in Carlow & I absolutely rate them by the way!
I think depending on your exchange rate the Algarve and many areas in Portugal have started to kill the trade from the average Portuguese holiday maker . Restaurants in general have started charging English / European prices especially for wine and drinks 25/ 30 euro's for bottle wine that would cost you 6-8 in the average supermarket , obviously there are deals but like it or not things are getting expensive. Accommodation is another and even the big Supermarkets seem to have seasonal prices in more touristy areas. But still fantastic place to live, I feel very lucky.
My wife and i are booked for three weeks in Albufeira (March 2025). We've been to Lagos, Porto and Lisbon before and we're looking forward to the beaches. If you don't mind me asking, is cannabis available anywhere? Love the video!
Hey guys , could you please point me in the right direction to where we could book residential accommodation for a month in the same kind of area. Your apartment looked perfect!
I went in early July and found it to be extortionate, especially on the Portamaio strip. The local food is over priced and is typical Italian etc. look out for the health food restaurant which was the best quality, it is tucked away down one of the off roads. For main shopping centre, it is a cheap 5 euro Uber where you will find food court with more choice and plenty of shops! Also a large supermarket there which is significantly cheaper than smaller supermarkets on strip. Beach charges for chairs and umbrellas. Some free ones on beach but better off buying umbrella from supermarket (again strip more expensive).
How much was your apartment rental please. We are retiring next year and are considering Portimau as a destination. We keep hearing that the rents are going up, so that's why I'm asking.
