sorry it's been 4 years since i played so i don't remember specifics. but if you ask here: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/213360/roll-player-monsters-minions/forums/66 you're sure to get a solid answer :)
She adds to to the final result... if it was to each die she would win almost every fight unless she would roll only 1's and even then if she rolled 3 or 4 she could roll only 1's and still win

Question: could you play the base game with five players with this expansion?
Thought with the expansion you had to put the gold and boost dice to the side when first drawing and then putting them back in the bag then start the game as normal.
The gold dice were already in the bag on the Base game... With the expansion what it says regarding changes to setup and dice is this: Basic Setup To play with this expansion, use the same Setup as in the base game, except for the following changes: 1. Dice and Dice Bag When placing the dice in the bag at the start of the game, include the 11 Boost Dice and 7 additional Attribute Dice from this expansion
I'm going to take my chances on the retail market for both base and expansion and hopefully get it more reasonably priced or not at all. Just not enough bang for the buck honestly. $70 would seem like a more reasonable price for base and expansion, oh well.
This looks really interesting and I would love to jump into the Kickstarter, but DANG they are asking so much for it! $109 if you want to buy the base game and the expansion. That is more expensive than The Gallerist! That is TI3 and Feast for Odin pricing for what is essentially a card game with dice! It seems very expensive to me. I cannot imagine anyone feeling like that is in any way economical. Excellent job as always, Richard! Your videos are always at the top of my much watch immediately list.
Jason Bryant it 89 dollars for the base game and expansion which is still a little high but not too far off, it a 109 for two copies of the game which I think you were looking at.
If you want to buy the base game through this Kickstarter, you can either pay $89 and wait 9 MONTHS for your game and expansion or you can pay $109 and get the base game now and wait 9 MONTHS for the expansion (it will come in two shipments, one for the game and the other for the expansion, not give you two copies of the game) Even at $89, that is very expensive. Take the largest production games you can imagine in the same genre of board gaming and they would not cost you this much. (You can get Twilight Imperium 3 on CoolStuff right now for $75, for example). Kickstarters should incentivize people to help get the game printed if for no other reason than a chance to get the game at less than a full retail price. What is the incentive to back this? That we get to loan the publisher $100 interest free for 9 MONTHS with no reward at all? Why not just wait until the game is properly released in stores and then I can pay the $89 to my friendly local game store and at least support their operation and not have to finance a publisher who is making a good deal of money (in interest savings alone) with my no-interest loan. Then, they tell us that we can get the base game sooner than 9 MONTHS if we pay an extra $20? Bad pricing structure is all I am saying.
Yeah the is stupidly high to get both, the expansion is priced OK for what it is but the base game makes zero sense to get from this Kickstart. Yeah I missed read that tier, I thought it was a single base game and two expansion, not just the expansion and the base game slightly faster.
Jason Bryant "good deal of money". Don't get into the board game industry if you think most people are making a good deal of money. Why back it? To get a guaranteed copy, and not have to wait for a reprint if/when it's sold out.
+Jesse Haulk You don't have much experience with Kickstarter if you think backing any game gets you a 'guaranteed copy' of anything. Nothing on Kickstarter is in any way guaranteed.
I need a Kickstarter just to do a Kickstarter. I also don't have original. Really want this but just Kicked Clans of Caledonia. Oh well maybe the reprint will be big and I can catch at a store.
Reprints of the base game should be hitting online stores post-kickstarter. Think coolstuff sells it for something like $42. No kickstarter extras, obviously.
I may have fallen asleep the first time I watched this video lol back to try to make it through the rest. ( not that you’re boring just your voice can be soothing 😂)
9:25 it is written "+1 Combat die for each die in the MONSTER color [...]", not the "minion" color. The Monster color (the Kraken) is blue, not green. So Jane should get 2 extra dice, as she had 2 blue dice in her Character Sheet. Isn't that?
it was already noted... like Richard says at the start of the video... please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see the notes when Richard makes a goof. Thanks
I’m sure you know by now since this is an older video but there is indeed new backstory and alignment cards.:)
Instant back/buy. One of my favourite games, which I found through your original video. Thanks Richard :)
One We toke a mercenary dice for thé combat, we still have it until the end of the play or We discard it after the combat?

Is your copy of the expansion have color shift vs the original game? The printing color difference is really obivous on my copy.
mine was a prototype, i never got a final retail version, so i can't say :(
at 11:24, does the assasin get +2 to her combat roll or +2 to each dice rolled?
+2 to the final value of the roll
She adds to to the final result... if it was to each die she would win almost every fight unless she would roll only 1's and even then if she rolled 3 or 4 she could roll only 1's and still win

i think so
Yes you can. This expansion adds rules for a 5th player as well as a solo variant.

They are offering the original and the expansion together as a pledge level if you want to pick them both up
Yes but still poor can't even do that.

There's no difference between KS and retail edition
This looks like a fun, and fairly deep game, considering it’s “just a dice chucker”.

Thanks for the video runthrough. This looks like more of a good thing.
Is the base game required? I ordered another game and got this one in the box instead. Maybe I should just send it back?
correct, this won't work without the base game!
@@rahdo that's too bad. Thank you for the quick reply. Guess I'll have to send it back
The whole Me and Jen switching constantly was about to make my brain explode. Just play the solo variant. ;)
Thanks for this, through you reversed the players LOL. But no worries, great job as always.
yay ! the return of Ameritrash, only $51 with shipping included to EU.
