Wow, my eyes got bigger and bigger -- WANT!!! The Brands have mixed several of my most favored mechanisms, worker placement, dice rolling and tile laying. So far, it looks a-mazing!
Just bought this! I’ve played it twice and this is a brain burner man! I’m not a player that usually suffers from AP but this one got me a bit. Highly recommended it. If you like Marco Polo and Lorenzo you will like this.
Really glad you posted this. The game looks really interesting but then again I think Village looks really interesting, but still not sure if I like that game. There is something about Village that I don't care for and I can't put my finger on it (no, it isn't killing off my villagers).
I have played Village a couple more times since posting this and I have come around a bit. I think the thing I dislike about it is that it is rather inelegant. Every action has a different set of rules governing it and some are more or less clearly annotated on the board. Also, it is a rather unforgiving game. If you don't take the cubes and actions in just the right order you can really put yourself behind. I do want to try the expansions as they seem like they might add some other paths to victory.
@8:56 Couldn't you have just spent a karma point to turn that orange 2 over to the opposite side (5) and get the tile you want for two dice? @13:18 Doesn't that mean that she can take 3 bucks OR one of the grey yield tiles?
8:56, yes he could do that 13:18 I don't know what are the grey yield tiles but when he connects the tile to the border he should get what the roads connect to the castle, in this case was 3 money... he was mistakenly taking the other reward too but that's on a different boarder that he has to reach with another tile... it was noted in the klingon subtitles that you should turn on to know when Richard makes mistakes
Should Jen have picked up another 3 money when she placed her second tile below the first because it also connected up to the top left bonus on the border? Or does each bonus only occur the first time its connected?

Spoke my mind :)
Those are some of the reasons I enjoy it too :)
Wow! So glad you made this video. Was on the fence for this game due to racing aspect but now I just want it ASAP. Thank you for this :)
Excellent runthrough, love how you're explaining things as you go! Much easier to follow this way :-D

I AM SO SOLD - so many great mechanics that we love...
the combo of WP / dice manipulation / tile lay is pretty neato
This game is brilliant and checks so many boxes for me. Sold!
still a solid gem ❤

Village with it's two expansion is an extraordinary game. However, I don't think that I'd enjoy the base game by itself tbh.
Southfloridelphia I agree with that Village is a good game but it’s missing something, maybe I need to try the expansions

each map bonus can only be grabbed once
Hi! what is your impression of the game. What score do you give on 10?
solid 8 :)
17:14 he has room for 4 more dice, not 3
noted... thanks
Sort of a dice-rolling game.
