John, this is a great refresher. Sometimes I focus so much on playing cool licks and phrases that I lose sight of the basic ways to work out the rhythm. This lesson brings it all back home.

About 300 videos watched on youtube so far and this is the first one to even bother trying, let alone succeed, in tellling me what thev I, IV, V chords in the 12 bar actually mean in terms of what i actually PLAY! Thanks :)

This lesson is very helpful for me. Of course the theory is clear I think no other teacher has demonstrated what you can really play over the chords as clear as you did. Many thanks.

Hey Jon, you're an amazing player, and your lessons are incredibly helpful. One thing that I've found from following this series is that I know the techniques to produce notes, but I don't really know how to get that rich tone you have. I'd love if you did a series in the fundamentals about getting that rich tone, including how to produce throat vibrato. Thanks!

    • @jamcamp06
