This was my very first crochet project since picking up the hobby. 100% recommend this pattern tutorial, it taught me a lot!
I’m so glad you loved this pattern! Congrats on your first project 😊 🧶
I just made 1 in yellow color with acrylic yarn.. I'm gonna make a few more for my daughter's kindergarten teachers for a farewell. Its so lovely.. thanks for the tutorial. ❤️
That sounds like a great idea! They would make great teacher gifts!
I just made one yesterday while waiting at a bday party at a gym for toddlers, to kill time. It was very easy to follow. I only had acrylic yarn, but I just gave it a shot. Today, I used cotton yarn (better traction than acrylic against a porcelain mug), and it turned out perfect. Making these for teacher gifts for Christmas. Thank you for sharing your pattern here. ♥️
You're very welcome! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed this easy pattern. These make great teacher gifts! :)
So far its been easy to follow im making one for my mums birthday which is in 6 days 😬 hopefully i finish it!!! Thanks for the tutorial!!

Hey! What's your Esty shop? I'd love to check it out! :)
@@bugzyandpetuniathebunnies9721 I believe it’s either Sarah Welsh, or Emilycrochet designs, but I kind of gave up on that. Maybe I’ll post something eventually though
Thank you for sharing, I really like that you give measurements in inches 💐
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed this pattern!
Thanks so much for this inspiration! I followed along with a much smaller yarn, but it turned out gorgeous. It's so stretchy and would surely fit a bigger mug than what I have it on. Looking forward to more tutorials! : )
Glad you enjoyed 😊
Very easy to follow along with. Absolutely love mine!
Glad you like it!
I thank you so very much!!!

Hello there. I have a question. Is the stitch that you use in this tutorial called the Suzette stitch?
Hello! Yes, this would be the Suzette stitch :)
I Love this pattern and tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing 😊 😀 👍💞💖
Thank you so much!

@@teabloom4132 so happy to hear 😊😊
Thank you, I love it
I'm glad you like it!
I just made a blanket using this same pattern. However, if you only put a single crochet in the first last chain of each row... chain 2 and turn. Your edges will be straight.
This is such a fun and versatile stitch pattern. Glad you enjoyed!
Love it
Thank you!
Love it!! 💕
Thank you!
Cute measuring tape 🐰. I'm from South Africa and we don't get these crochet needles or cute accessories.
Thank you!
Hi love it ❤
I would like to know how wide the 8 ch is in inches, thank you
I mention the size of the mug cozy in the video 😊
In the video, you say that they have to be 8 inches long. but I want to know how many inches wide the eight chains are.
Thank you for answering
@@diadislopezguzman633 It should be about 3 inches wide 🙂
@@AmandaCrochets thank you
Just so you know, in the written pattern for the button hole loop rows, it is unclear that you are meant to just repeat the 4 HDC and not the full Skip 1st st, sl st in next 2sts, 1hdc in next 4sts, ch1 and turn. Just a heads up, to save someone some time while reading your pattern
Thanks for letting me know! I will go ahead and make the changes now to the written pattern.
How many can you make from a 100g ball of yarn?
I’m not sure as I haven’t tested it out, but I would imagine you would be able to make 3-4?
Approximately how much yarn does it take to make a cozy? I would like to get some yarn for my mom to try to make these.
I used less than a skein of cotton yarn for one cozy.
can you please tell me where you got your yarn (btw this is my brothers acc) 😊
The yarn I used for this pattern is the Mainstays Cotton yarn, which you can get from Walmart.
What’s the name of the stitch ? And thank you for the tutorial 💙
You're welcome! I'm calling it the SC and DC cluster stitch.
I'm going to try this. Is there any particular reason you used cotton or can it also be done with acrylic yarn?
I had a LOT of cotton in my stash, like an insane amount, so wanted to use some up lol. You can certainly use acrylic yarn as well. :)
Am I able to use this pattern and resell? Or can I give you credit if I sell them? Please let me know
You may sell any product you finish using my patterns. However you cannot sell my patterns as your own. Thank you!😊
@@AmandaCrochets thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️ I will make sure to credit the pattern to you
@@justpeachy9838 wonderful! Happy crocheting 🧶
Can you use other size buttons for this?
Of course!
@@AmandaCrochets Awesome! Thank you ☺
Can you use acrylic yarn? Or would it melt?
I’ve used acrylic yarn to make mug cozies before and they turned out just fine 😊
@@AmandaCrochets thank you! I have a TON of acrylic to use but I wasn’t sure it was safe.
You’re welcome!
Did anyone find that the cotton yarn stretches? I used the exact yarn and measured the 8 inches and when I was done the 8 inch section was 9.5 inches long. It ended up being too long for the mug. Any tips? I’m thinking of only doing 6 in and then maybe it will stretch to 8
Cotton can stretch a little depending on which cotton yarn you're using. It can also depend on your tension. You can always make less rows to see if that will help or go down a hook size. You can also try a bigger/wider mug than I show in my video. Good luck!
@@AmandaCrochets Thank you so much! Going down a hook size is a great idea! Thanks! The pattern is beautiful.
You’re welcome 😊
I wish you would have went over how to fasten off the ends…all the information was very clear except for that.
I’m sorry, I will try and be more mindful of this in future videos 😊
