I don't currently have specific instructions for mugs with a handle, but your idea could work! Give it a try. I know there are also tons of other designers you could search how they make them for mug handles and adapt the pattern. Happy Holidays! 🎄
So adorable. How many stitches did you go over from your center green post at the bottom to start making your tree. I don’t want to start to wide or not wide enough. Thanks and beautiful work. I’ll subscribe to see all your creations 💜💜
Hi there! I'd say probably 3 stitches on either side of the post at the bottom to start. It may help to look at the closeup pics on my blog post: www.heather-corinne.com/post/crochet-christmas-tree-cozy Thanks for your support! :)
This pattern is designed to fit a standard reusable coffee mug, but you can adjust the stitch count to fit different mugs. I do not currently have a specific pattern for a handled mug.
Hi Marcella! I didn't count a specific number of stitches on each side of the 'trunk'. I just went far enough on each side that I thought it looked good!
can it be acrylic yarn? ive heard that you have to use cotton because acrylic melts with hot things but i heard that from a pot holder video so i’m not sure
I’m following your tutorial, but I want to make it for a regular mug instead of a travel. Do you have any guidance on how to adapt this to fit a regular handled mug?
Hmm, you could make the rectangle of the cozy base to fit around your mug, but instead of stitching up the seam, make a loop on either end to fit around the handle and hold it in place? Or add a little button and a loop that goes through or around the handle?
Size G Crochet Hook A full list of materials can be found in the description and on my blog post >www.heather-corinne.com/post/crochet-christmas-tree-cozy
Hi Candy! You're so sweet! You could easily create a pillow with this design. Just single crochet enough rows to the width and length of your preference and then stitch on the tree and use a larger button. You could also use bulky yarn for a bigger project.
I have a question every time u complete a row do u flip it to the other end to start a new row? Thank u in trying to make one but my ends are crooked 😂
Hi Maria! Yes, at the end of each row we will chain 1 and turn around. The best way I've found to make sure the ends don't end up crooked, is to make sure you have the right stitch count on each row. Hope that helps!
@@HeatherCorinneCrochets i chained exactly 35 and i agree there will be only 34 st in each row. when you complete the rectangle and have it laying flat i only count 6 rows. I was confused and had my mom look and she said she only sees 6 as well. So, im really confused?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! I'm using a brand called 'I Love this Yarn' from Hobby Lobby in worsted weight. Which is funny because I DO love this yarn haha
@@samanthak.1613 :) Yes, the specs on this yarn are Yarn Weight: 4 - Medium. Honestly, I'm not new to this and I still don't know all the yarn weights and numbers haha I had to look it up.
You should assume to already know how to do the stitch. If you don’t go practice then come back to the video. Pointless to comment and be rude when its clearly meant for someone who knows how to do basic stitches.
Please dont take this wrong, I love your stuff, I just wish you wouldn't fast forward, its hard to watch, it makes my eyes hurt to try to watch, I would rather watch you pause the video and skip ahead then that, please consider this when making future videos and I thank you so much for taking the time to make them
Sorry but I am a beginner and I can’t see what you’re doing it’s way too fast 😢 I don’t know what single crochet is and you’re doing it so fast I can’t count the loops, I’m gunna have to tap out at 1:15 😅

That sounds absolutely adorable! Please tag me in the end!
Can you add instructions on how to turn this into a cozy for a mug? Should I add a row of chains and a button on the other end?

Just curious how much you would charge to sell these? Trying to gauge how much to sell them for on my end.
Can you do this for a coffee mug or do you have this tutorial for a coffee mug with the handle

Beautiful👍👍😘😘
Thanks 🤗
Did you skip the stitch closest to the hook after chaining 35? How does it turn into 34?
You'll start Row 1 on the 34th chain. The 35th chain gives you the space to turn. I hope that helps!
@@HeatherCorinneCrochets ohhh okay thank you!!

Yes, it can be acrylic for these coffee sleeves! I hope my coffee is never hot enough to melt through anything 😄
Can you tell me the exact yarn and color you used, please???
Do know if I missed it. What size hook?

Size G or 4mm > amzn.to/3Wr9XYB
What hook size are you using in the video? It looks smaller than a G hook.
It is a G :)
Ok thanks
I have a crochet hook that says G/6 - 4.25MM. It's a Boye hook that I have that says that so maybe that's what she means.
It is a size G(6) as listed in the description :)

The videos would be like 4 hours long if she didn’t
This is actually a good suggestion and it wouldn’t make the video longer. It would shorten it. 🙃
Why not use the pause button yourself? Just a thought!

I would recommend learning the basic crochet stitches before trying my patterns. There are tons of how to crochet basics on UA-cam :)
