And why do they think you have to be a woman to define what a woman is? That short haired dude is a biological woman... And he doesn't want to be seeing as something he can't define?
Being called a “cis” woman is extremely insulting. Just as much as the other C word no woman ever wants to be called. If you can’t define what a woman is, why should we accept you as one?! Blaire said it perfectly when she explained what the difference between a trans woman and a woman is. We love Blaire, we accept Blaire as a woman because she RESPECTS biological women enough to understand the differences and to PRESENT as female. I have no issue with referring to Blaire as “she/her”, because she presents this way. When an aggressive and narcissistic biological man DEMANDS to be called she/her by me and be accepted as a woman, all while rocking facial hair and a deep, masculine voice, I feel my womanhood is being personally attacked! It gives me the same ick as if a straight male was to tell me that I am inferior to him, simply by being a woman. These MEN are coming for not only our salaries & positions at work, but now our hard earned sports titles, awards and entire identities! It feels like we are re-living the “Women’s Suffrage Movement” all over again! The audacity to walk up to another person and demand that they call you the opposite of how you’re presenting, does feel like a crazy clown world. These individuals don’t stop for one second to think of how hurtful, offensive and damaging their DEMANDS are to women’s rights and identities. I feel so much for anyone who doesn’t feel comfortable in their own skin to the point where they are debilitated into hiding from society. I personally experienced this during and after Covid, as I gained some weight for the first time in my life. It affected my entire identity! I said no to events with friends and family, shed more tears than I can recall every single time that I had to get dressed to leave the house and felt immense shame for allowing my body to change in a way that I saw as extremely negative. I’m still on my weight loss and fitness journey, but I feel much better in my own skin and have gained so much empathy for others who are struggling. I will accept any trans person who takes the steps to assimilate into the identity of the sex they feel that they are inside. But most importantly accepts that there is a difference between a biological woman and a trans woman and doesn’t try to erase or change the narrative of “what is a woman”. It’s not about disagreeing with the trans community, it’s about protecting my WOMANHOOD, for myself and for the other women and girls in this world, who deserve to celebrate their womanhood and protect it at all costs. Much love to you Blaire for your activism and voice! ❤️ Also, anytime you are in Salt Lake, you have a girlfriend here who would be honored to show you around town! 🥰
My 6 yo son said not too long ago that he wished he was a girl. I didn't immediately change his name and pronouns. Instead, I asked him why he felt that way. He responded with something like, "Because (the names of his 2 sisters) never get in trouble." He gets punished more often because the girls tend to be more obedient, but in his mind it's because he's a boy and they're girls. Kids can make weird connections like that sometimes.
Not because ''more obedient''. Boys are beaten more by mothers than girls, because boys are considered ''little men'' who can endure worse physical punishment even though they are not.
Im an infertile woman. Im so sick of these people using me as an excuse. Im still female, the fact im infertile means im a woman, i have the organs they dont work.
Exactly! But our voices get shut down. Also trans women will never suffer from things like Pcos, miscarriage, pregnancy, periods etc so we aren’t women but just persons
yes exactly your still a woman regardless of you being infertile. you were born woman nothing can change that. Its in your blood and bones. Your womb doesnt have to work to be a woman :D I agree with you.
Exactly this. It's like saying that, because someone was injured in such a way that they can no longer walk, they're not a human, because humans are defined as being bipedal. Like.... no. That's not the way it works. Functionality is secondary to the genetic make-up that defines what a person is. Attempting to strip pieces of people's identities from them based on the functionality of their bodies is actually the beginning of a very heinous line of thought, which is probably why Addison is trying to reframe Matt's definition into this straw man. Meanwhile ignoring the more concrete aspect of Walsh's definition which is "It's all the way down into your body and bones". It's a genetic thing. A core element of our physical make-up. It depends in no way upon behavior or function.
What about biological women who cant experience those things too? Are they supposed to feel less like women because of that? Because thats how many might feel hearing things like that.
@@Damianskull When a biological woman can't experience these things it could make her feel like less of a woman that is a likely possibility. In reality, if she isn't going through these things then there is something wrong, she has some condition or she had to get it removed or something like that. She never expected to have these problems, she expected to be like other women, she had the potential. Trans women will never ever experience these things because they're not supposed to and they never were, there was never any expectation and there's nothing physically wrong with them.
@@Damianskull as a woman with fertility issues I find no offence whatsoever in what Blaire said. People who try to use women’s fertility issues as a way to try and discredit the meaning of ‘woman’ however, I find _that_ incredibly offensive! I am not the same as a trans woman just because we both can’t bear children or don’t have periods etc. I am a women with medical issues, I’m not a man…
Using woman fertility issue just to justify that all people have to accept that trans woman are woman it's kinda ridiculous. As Blaire said she will never be able to experience things that are woman only, but that's not make her as same as a biological woman with fertility issue. Trans woman are man that for some personal and, for sure, valid reason had decide to change their secondary sexual charateristics and blend in society and just living their life; the fact that these days we had make this process look like a f*****g circus it's because everyone wants to feel unique, special and in some way different, so every single day we start a new trend like "they/them" or "Xi/Xem" wich in my country it can't be translate beacuse It makes no sense when you talk and it starts being very confusing; and for making this even worse some people start "identify"as bug, fairy, vampire, wolf, cat, dogs and whatever you can think of that I personally think it's extremly disrispectful for all the trans community. Do I have to feel less a woman these days just because I don't compare my self ti a trans woman? Do I have to feel less a woman these days juat because I do not accept that a full grown man walk with no problem in women restroom saying that he identify as a woman? Do I have to accept that women spaces are being clearly invading by men just because society has give them a way to do that? Do I have to feel less a woman for these reasons? I don't think so. Women and trans women are so tired about all this b******t! We can just live our life without needing any validation from anyone instead of making all this things a ridicoulus circus.
I told my parents that I was a boy when I was 4, simply because I didn’t want to wear a dress to church. Glad I was born in the early 90’s when parents don’t instantly start a social transition when their child says something like that
THIS~!!!! I was such a tom boy when i was a kid. Hated girl stuff. Girl clothes. Girl activities. if i were born in this era, It's terrifying to think how confused I'd be by the way adults today are expected to treat their children. If i were treated like a boy and raised as a boy in return, i would never have been able to become who i am today.
Back then, the worst that would happen is you would be called a tomboy. I wonder if that word is still used today. I'm sure it is, but probably not by the left.
😂😂at 4 I never cared about my gender, honestly I just wanted to be a pretty princess. But what I knew for sure was that I wasn't straight and I wasn't religion. Maybe I grew up too fast, I don't know
A trans woman on TikTok was using that “did you know some women are born without a uterus” and I think it’s kinda disrespectful to use that uncommon instance and use it for their benefit. She’s still a woman without it
They want to pretend there isn't something that qualifies a woman to be a woman. There is. You just don't have it! Woman is not an umbrella term it is quite specific lol.
The fact that Blair knows she's biologically male, but doesn't need validation, is why she's a queen. I wish all transwomen were like you, the world would be a much better place
As a very (very) masculine woman, I am called sir on a daily basis. I’ve never taken it personally- because I know what I look like and I know how I carry myself. It’s just how it be. Laugh about it and move on. Life’s so much more fun when you can laugh about it.
@@livi6440 Oh lol, I didn’t read the word “dude”, I don’t like assuming much but I guess he born female, although who knows? I was just genuinely curious, that’s all
I'm a writer and historical linguist. And, ignoring the gender oriented view of the argument, just from a literary and writer's perspective, pronouns are literally made for simplicity. Making people ask pronouns at the beginning of a conversation, to remember them, to consciously think about pronouns, defeats the whole purpose of pronouns. If you want someone to call you something specific, that's what your name is for. The purpose of pronouns is so that I don't have to go out of my way to remember something specific about any given thing. Or, so that when I'm writing, I don't have to type out a character's name every single time I mention them. Pronouns are meant to be intrinsic and eminently obvious. If they aren't, you've defeated the point of the pronoun even existing. If you're going to change your pronouns to "Zhir/Zherg" or whatever, just do everyone a favor, and change your name to Zhir instead, because, at that point, you're at a level of speciation that I'd rather hear your name than your pronouns since you've butchered the simple but subtle nuance of casual conversation and you're making the passing (supposed to be) civil dialogue more intensive than it was ever meant to be.
I totally agree with this. The whole idea of choosing custom pronouns amounts to turning pronouns into a second name, and then just removing pronouns from the language all together. It's super dumb.
You raise a very good point that I haven't heard anyone make before. There is a very cringey and confused, walking contradiction mess of a trans person where I work. I am so off-put by this person and would never dream of using the masculine pronouns that this person demands, so I skip pronouns altogether and just use this person's name. I like to think it's a win win 🙃
This blew my mind. I’m not very educated, but I always had a sense that 76 pronouns were simply unworkable in general society because now you have two things to remember. The name and the pronoun. Listening to my wife stumble over her own words trying to remember to use the alternative pronouns of one of her friends is painful. We’re alone in the car and she’s trying to tell a completely trivial story that involves this person, and every few seconds the flow of the story is jarred to a halt so she can 1) Remember to use the alternative pronoun, 2) Think of which tense is applicable like zee/zey/zer, 3) actually say the word with emphasis because it IS an actual exception to normal conversation. It’s so cringe. I feel bad that she’s gotten wrapped up in this nonsense just because she’s trying to be nice. The explanation you just gave describes it better than I ever could have.
My step daughter had a phase where she took herself down a rabbit hole (thanks to tiktok) and wanted to identify as non-binary. When questioned why, she said because she doesn't like pink and dresses. I found out she had changed her name within her friendship group and was joining lgbt+ groups. We banned tiktok and explained to her about how puberty is confusing and hormones are all over the place. And also how her autism makes her feel like she doesn't fit in. A year down the road she's a totally different person. If we had bowed down to societal pressure and just gone along with what she was saying then she probably would have changed her name and her pronouns and basically screwed herself up. Kids can't make these decisions. Their thoughts, feelings and hormones change every week.
Had similar situation with my teenage son. I agree with you completely. Also wishing many more teens have support in being their beautiful brilliant selves.
This is the one thing that scares me about having kids later on. I don’t want to be the parent that bans them from using tech at their teen years because they’ll find a way around it and there are actually a lot of good resources on TikTok to learn and discover new topics. But I fear my children succumbing to this ideology through TikTok, friends, TV/movies, and now public education. What do I even do prevent this from happening or not come off controlling if they ended up becoming indoctrinated? And for people who say “they’ll grow out of it” or “it’s just like being emo or goth in the 90s”, it’s not. This ideology leads to kids obtaining HRT without parental consent our obtaining other forms of permanent forms of “treatment” that’s irreversible.
I used to be this type of kid but my parents were as reasonable as you. I want to say thank you for protecting your child and being a rational parents instead of listening to all these woke people
I swear this Trans and Pronouns debate has devolved into "well I like girly/boyish things so I'm Trans now". Like bro, just because you like something that's typically doesn't align with your gender, doesn't make you Trans.
Wasn’t the point of all this originally to not need to label yourself? That you could be anyone and not conform to societal standards. Yet these people are forcing everyone to label themselves. They are so far left that they are far right.
My mom thought I was a lesbian growing up just because I was into such boyish things. I was just a tomboy. 23 now and definitely very straight & into girly things. Thank you mom for not being loony!
I'm a 45 yr old tomboy and my mom thought I was going to be a straight up lesbian. She was only half right! I'm still a tomboy, even if I sometimes do girly shit cuz it's fun to do.
@@1everydayperson It's crazy we change so much as we grow up. We go through phases and styles and like you said girly things are fun to do. So important for parents to just let their kids be and not do permanent things like parents nowadays do.
My parents and some friends thought I was lesbian too! (back in the 90s) Lol, they asked me straight out.."hey are you a lesbian, we're just wondering" I wasn't even the most tomboyish, but I still wonder why this was thought of me.
As someone who is absolutely sick of this whole trans non binary 100000 different sexes rubbish, you are an absolute breath of fresh air! You are exactly what the world need right now, keep it up girl! Much Love xxx
@@stacy7159 Actually I think most trans people are probably just like her but we only hear from the weirdos, narcissists and people faking for attention!
I have been watching you for a while now, and respect the heck out of you. I am 72, and have been hearing about this issue since Christine Jorgensen. The difference now is that being trans has become "trendy". Unlike yourself, who knew from a young age that your life was just not right, gained knowledge and made a decision for yourself, so many young people think this might be the answer to their discomfort, and the only counseling they are given is hormones and surgery. Therapists are not allowed to try to find the why of the dysphoria. So even if they transition, the why remains. To me it is extremely sad. Keep on speaking truth and sense. It is very strongly needed these days. Sprinkling it with your wicked sense of humor is great, too. God bless.
Addison’s appearance is intended to provoke. This makes others automatically dismiss and ignore trans people because no one likes being provoked into confusion or anger then called bigot for any reaction including “why am I looking at a man in a dress who will get mad if I misgender them, but how can I NOT misgender when they present as multiple things?” It’s intended to provoke, not create inclusion or harmony, and that’s just on first sight.
I don't blame you. The beard BS that has popped up is making legit Trans woman look bad. When someone sees anyone with a beard they are automatically think that is a man.
Agree. I can't get past the beard. But that's how I feel, and since it's all about feelings and self identifying, I should also be allowed to have my feelings. It's so in your face that I think it's attention seeking. No one is neither or both. You're just being provocative to feed that part inside that needs validation..or that is deeply confused.
Addison identifies as a non binary person. Not a trans woman. They are two different things. You’re wrong. Non binary doesn’t have to "blend in" like a trans woman/man would. It’s not the same.
@@Dolphinboi maybe they just need attention on a whole other level. I'm sorry but feeling not male nor female, makes no effing sense. If you can't tell or feel blank, you need therapy. For the long-term til you sort stuff out.
"womanhood looks different for everyone" - well every human is unique, but we can damn well tell the difference between humans and fucking salamanders!!
when they say "womanhood is different" what they actually mean is individual personalities. like since when do we keep giving individual personalities pronouns?
@@livelife2324 yeah we all experience the world differently of course, but we also have similar experiences? one of those experiences that are similar, is womanhood. Not THE SAME but SIMILAR. But another thing that is so strange, is; if you cannot define what a woman or a man is, then you cannot define what being trans is...
@@nerpderper totally agree with you. And it sucks that woman hood is associated with some external things. i never would’ve imagined that this would be a serious debate/discussion outside of tumblr when this nonsense first began circulating. how far we’ve declined.
I never would have imagined that alternative pronouns would become real after first reading them in a novel 12 years ago. It was a sci-fi/fantasy so I simply took them as that. Yet here we are 🤦♀
@@Angela-lb9zi it’s sad if you think about it. these people deem themselves as so deeply uninteresting as people that they have to invent “innate” characteristics about themselves to seem more intriguing. this pronoun nonsense is what emo/scene was to those who lived to also see that cringe.
Facts, I remember in like 2010 I used to see this stuff on tumblr and just thought it was a weird little niche thing that people were into and would eventually grow up and grow out of. Oh how I was wrong.
Girl, thank you for being sane! I didn't know there was this issue in the US, here in Greece we barely have accepted the gay community. The trans community is still getting murdered. It's horrible, ofcourse I am an advocate for everyone to have respect and equal rights. But I didn't know that trans community in US have gained so much respect that they even demand things that are ridiculous! I consider myself a leftist and I found myself agreeing with Matt Walsh and I was like "what is happening to me?". But it is just plain logic. I respect you, I accept you as a trans woman or a trans man, I will use or try to use your pronouns, but is it transphobic if I say that you are a biological male that transitioned? Is it transphobic if I say there are only two genders? if I say that kids should not transition? Is it transphobic if I simply state facts?
You are not being transphobic because trans people know they are born as biological male or female. You cannot be born as no gender. Everyone is assigned sex at birth.
‘It’s not your truth, it’s THE Truth’ - excellent statement Blaire. That a woman is an adult human female is a Universal Truth and incontrovertible. 👍🏻
I agree. And I agreed with almost everything she said. The only thing I didn't understand was at the end when she suggested that there is a middle ground to be sought. Seems to me that Mr. Walsh was being very polite and understanding while not abandoning universal truths. You can be a nice guy and still be grounded in reality. If that's what you are, I don't think you can reach a more "middle ground". I didn't get the sense that he was trying to shove his opinion down anyone's throat. And Blair seems to be just as nice and grounded in reality as Mr. Walsh.
It's ironic - but in a good way - that a transperson that is a beautiful influencer shows such incredibly depth of characters and argumentation. ((Also, nobody would ever know blaire is trans if she didn't openly state it)
I just wanna say you have allowed me to understand, respect and accept trans people more than any of these activists ever did. Thank you. What I think is this: what trans women really want is to be seen, respected and accepted AS women, not to be equated to women. It’s the same logic as the fight for gender equality: women want to be respected as men are, not to be equated to men. We have different biological makeup and experiences. To blindly equate us is to inadvertently erase our unique identities.
You mention the fight for Gender Equality and as someone who studied both Feminism and Queer Theory at University, for me the problem with that fight is that a lot of activists do in fact seem to just wish they were men instead of women. So many of them dress and groom themselves like men, and act like they think men act - i.e. aggressively a lot of the time! That is not the way to achieve Gender Equality. A lot of activists need to learn to value what it is to be a woman, instead of trying to emulate men.
I was a tomboy. My mom called me “the son my father never had”. If born today, I would probably be called/ diagnosed trans. But I just don’t like certain things people label ‘girly’. It’s hard to take people seriously like Addison and Demi Levato.
I find it very interesting that Demi Lovato came out as non-binary at a moment when they had done something extremely stupid and entitled and people were calling them out for it.
Me too. I loved to do everything with my 6 brothers, loved going hunting with them, played with their cars and dump trucks and loved to mow the yard. I was also into makeup, doing my hair, dressing up, was a cheerleader, choir and gymnastics. I’m sure I would have been labeled trans by someone. My mother was very Catholic but she didn’t freak when I okayed with cars and followed my brothers when my sisters didn’t.
Exactly! Instead of adding bogus pronouns for people to identify with… how about we focus on altering traditional societal norms associated with gender?!
As a woman that has small boobs, when I wear certain clothes my chest looks flat. I've been called Sir a lot and honestly I've never felt the urge to correct those people. I will probably never see those people again in my life, therefore it's not worth my time to correct it.
When I was in Highschool I teased and bullied a girl over a flat-boobs,… Years later we met again, and I still teased her because her boobs didn’t grow at all … And now she’s my wife,
I'm a tomboy, always have been. I'm 31 and often wonder what would happen if I grew up with "progressive " parents in this current day and age. When I was very little I told my parents I wanted to grow up to be a big strong man and I wanted to marry Hulk Hogan lol.. looking back on it....I know why I said this. From as long as I could remember I know I liked Boys (in an innocent way of course but the attraction was there from the get go) and I admired males so much. I didn't WANT to be a man. I'm heterosexual....and love being female. If I was pushed to transition....I probably wouldn't be here anymore. You are a great voice Blaire 👌
You just said something I couldn’t exactly put together in my head: being a Tom boy was an admiration of males, not wanting to be one. Growing up I wanted to be in the NFL and play football with the boys, it wasn’t because I wanted to be a boy but to play with them because it was so cool to me. Had I have grown up today with parents who were loony toons and pushed me to transition just because I liked playing with Spider-Man action figures I’d be totally lost as an adult. I’m 29 and love being female, wearing dresses, my hair down. I feel for the little girls today who like the boy things and who are unlucky to have crazy parents who want to push a trans ideology on them
I am 49 and grew up a tomboy as well. I have 3 older siblings, 2 being brothers. They had an enormous impact on me when I was little! When I was 5 if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd say a linebacker! Lol...I was also the only kid in my kindergarten gym class who knew how to do calisthenics because my brothers taught me. I was the only girl on my pee wee baseball team. Only two in the whole league! In high school I took automechanics instead of cosmetology in my junior and senior years. Not because I thought I was a guy or wanted to be one. It was to be around guys. I always like male company because of being close to my brothers. I was never a girly girl. Still not one. I've only recently started wearing makeup on the regular. So glad this nonsense wasn't a thing when I was growing up. Even if it had been, my mom would have had the sense to know I didn't want tobe a boy. These people putting their kids through gender trauma should be brought up on abuse charges! Or letting them pick their gender is doing damage as well. Its unreal this is happening....
@@KattMurr I saw this family introducing their little one and saying that they weren’t announcing their sex, until the child told them what their sex was. 🙄
I was a tomboy too, and related to a lot of what you said. I remember going to school in kindergarten and telling everyone I was a boy and wanted to be a boy. It haunts me a little to think of what could have happened if I was born in a different time with different parents. I was adamant at the time. But I was a kid. Now I’m a grown woman with kids and a family and I LOVE being a woman.
Yes!!!! This right here, so true. I as well was a tomboy, but I didn’t want to transition into a boy/man.... some people are just going crazy trying to get those “woke” points. They see the attention children get when saying their trans, so their hoping if their child will agree to be a trans they will be the next one to get their “ I’m a whole parent” sticker and 15 minutes of fame. All for the price of a messed up child for life....
One more thing, as a woman who's been through every form of abuse, caused by men, I find it extremely and deeply upsetting that so many of these big fully formed and fully grown guys who make no effort to really "look female" are so demanding that we accept them exactly as WE are. It doesn't matter what they look or sound like they're allowed in. If you pay attention, it's always the men who are the most angry, forceful, and threatening when it comes to making women call them a Women. And forcing us to let them in women's bathrooms! Notice how the percentage of female transitioning to male, generally don't get forceful and aggressive and controlling!! It brings me straight back to when I was being abused! My PTSD has ONLY gotten stronger! So that's my take on it. It needs to be stopped.
I’ve seen someone FREAK out on this little teenage girl, because she said “sir” trying to be polite. She immediately apologized when the person became upset. But she was terrorized and made to feel horrible.
Oh my goodness... that hurts my heart and PISSES ME OFF at the same time! 😭💔🤬🤬 This whole thing is confusing SO MUCH of our youth today and it's extremely disheartening to witness and not be able to do a thing about it 😫
yeah you see i really don’t like the tendency people have to immediately scold and bully others right when someone else did something they didn’t like, particularly when the other person didn’t even know what they were doing was perceived as offensive. like, if you get an answer wrong in math class because you didn’t know how to do the math problem, is the teacher supposed to just yell at you because you got it wrong, or try to help their student? but math (a subject that deals with logic, arrangement, etc) probably isn’t the best analogy to be used in comparison to these abstract societal discussions. nonetheless i see no use in resorting to browbeating and bullying. i’m sorry that happened
My boyfriend is friends with a trans woman who has a low voice like a man. She is a wonderful person and I really like her and enjoy talking to her. One day, I slipped and accidentally referred to her as "he/him". Hearing the lower, masculine voice, my brain registered her as "he". Seeing a trans-woman speak logically for 20 straight minutes, while clearly successful on her trans-journey, as well as strong, happy, beautiful, etc… why is this not more appealing to other trans, than the illogical, not even passing a lot, unhappy, crazy trans people? All I’m saying if I were trans I’d look up to this person for guidance not the craziness out there for my understanding in my journey.

Well why saying you're a "trans woman" if you can never be a woman. What transition have you made? And is the transition possible ? Cs a woman is a biological female, that's all. The other stereotypes related to it are socially constructed ! Whatever you do in your body will never change your sex!
@Soumaia Alaoui You are totally correct.I'll never be a biological female. And I understand that there's people that don't agree with being trans and people who don't understand what it is to be trans. But as long as I'm okay with me that's all that matters. We all have our opinions and I respect yours, but at the end of the day mine is the only one that matters for myself.
@@mikemaze7726 it's not about opinions it's about rights and clarification of concepts ! I mean I have no problem with people doing whatever they want with their bodies as long as they are mature enough to do it (even though I find "transition" surgeries very dangerous and irreversible ) but I can't stand for men calling themselves "women" . That's dangerous and confusing ! Doing "feminine" things is not turning you to women, cs femininity and masculinity are two socially constructed concepts, Women and Men are two biological existence that have been living under a lot of cultural norms due to their sex so thei lives and experiences are different bcs they are raised differently! So I get it that "trans" people usually look differently than what society prescribed for their sex since birth and that's okeeeey! Actually no one should ever conform and comply with the sexist norms, that's what patriarchy wants ! But that's not a transition ! That is more of like a total revolution against stereotypes assigned to you since birth ! That's a person not giving a fuuuck of what society wants him to be and choosing to feel comfortable in his/her body! I don't mean to offend but I deeply have a problem with the word "transition" itsef cs if you're transitioning to a woman than you're confirming that a woman is not a biological female human! And this is how all those gender identity movements come to existence trying to tell me the real woman what a woman is!
@Soumaia Alaoui 1st. As long as someone is being respectful like yourself, you'll never affend me.I "rebelled" years ago.In my opinion and again we all have one , people like myself when 1st. starting our change we wanted nothing more than to blend in, Not stand out looking for attention.Ive been living a good life after my rebellion.I don't advertise that I am what I am,But I will tell someone if I think it concerns them at the time. I also used the word rebellion and rebel not as a dig but because you stated you hated the other phrase.Just didn't want you thinking I was being a smartass.
I think a big issue that these “advocates” can’t get over is that the general population DOES NOT CARE and that stings them to their core more than anything else. That they aren’t considered special every waking breathing moment of their lives.
Mayority human interaction will be he or she, now they want to change the interaction by a population of less than 1%, no the mayority win, the interaction doesn't have to change
Agreed, and Matt kind of addressed that in his video about the episode, referencing when the "Doctor" says to him "I don't know why you care so much." Their entire JOB is to make people care. They started the episode saying that they were happy to be there to "educate." Their online identity (and probably offline as well) revolves around telling people how much we should care, and how awful it is that not enough people do. But they only want you to care if you agree with them completely 🙄 As soon as you disagree on any level about the topic that they're basically forcing us into discussing, it turns into "WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?"
I love how straight forward and honest you are. Everything has honesty and nothing is emotion based. So refreshing to not feel like I'm going crazy and that all of this bring crammed down our throats isn't majority
I’m a straight masculine-leaning woman, and as a child I thought I was supposed to be a boy because I liked playing wall ball and preferred legos over Barbie’s. I couldn’t imagine what kind of issues I’d have if my parents took that as me being trans
My daughter leans more towards masculine things, but she also plays with barbies and jokes around with her girl friends. In no way shape or form, I'm telling her which toys she should play with or how she should behave. Still, I call her a small woman and sometimes I tell her, no matter her choices in life will be, that I will always love her. Parents should be real, but let kids be kids. Sometimes we need to stop the non sense and sometimes we need to accept the obvious.
I was the same, but my focus was on Spider-Man. I wore Spidey shirts, baseball caps, pajamas, even underoos. I had the toys, Spider-Man big wheel, and room with Spidey sheets, curtains, etc. This went on for a few years. Guess what? I still love Spider-Man, but I’m also a straight feminine woman. I shudder to think what could’ve happened if this were today and my parents were “woke”.
People use to beat kids for liking the wrong toys, so they would be normal. Then we got to the point where no one cared, and it was normal to play with whatever. Now if kids play with the wrong toys people inject them with hormones to make make them "normal". Seems like a step backwards.
This was a *WILD* episode of Dr. Phil 😂 If you can’t even define what a “woman” is, then you shouldn’t be trying to dictate MY thoughts, opinions, & vocabulary.
@@ЦветанГанчев-у4п From what I remember, she's always said she's not a woman (biological female) and has always said she is a trans woman. If she's changed her stance on that recently, then I've missed it.
The word ‘female/woman/etc.’ was socially constructed, however, it was made to describe a being with ‘specific traits’. We could have called woman (Winwu) and Men (Menmu) and there would still be a clear biological differences between Winwu and Menmu. so the word in gender still follows the biological sex, because it’s used to describe it. And by saying woman can mean being anything, they are detaching its meaning and now it has none.
"Transitioned and then got on with my life". Yes, exactly. That to me is what a genuine trans person is. My teen daughter has male friends that identify as female, use she/her pronouns and female names....whilst making pretty much no effort to appear characteristically as a female. I can't take them seriously; for which I'm regularly in trouble with my daughter. I told her we won't actually get to hear from most genuine trans people because they're too busy getting on with their lives. Whilst I'm definitely not saying all gender confused people are autistic, what I do see is many confused autistic people jumping on the gender bandwagon (and before anyone jumps in I am a middle aged woman with an autism diagnosis and can spot another autistic a mile away); it is super common for autistic people to feel neither male nor female. I'm going on tangents but basically just wanted to say thank f*ck for the likes of Blair for injecting some sanity into all of this.
your not suppose to be your daughters best friend, your rising her to function as an adult. my mom would tell me this as a kid and i hated it. but my mom never ed lied to me and in that i whole trust her. your daughter don’t have to like what you say or think, as long as you love her enough to tell her the truth no matter how unpopular. the dad from Miley Cyrus said he wish he had spent more time being his daughters dad then trying to be her friend and be liked by her.
I completely agree with you when you are saying about ur daughters friends identifying as female and use she/her but then are making no conscious effort to even look or portrayed themselves as a female I can't understand this as a trans women myself because I would never I have transitioned to a woman and portray myself as female I wear makeup and womens clothing I am and portray as a woman yes I'm a transgender woman but to look at me nobody would be confused as to what to call me because I loo, and act like a woman but if ur not making any effort to be and portray urself as a woman then ur not a woman I'm sorry but ur not because you can't just say ur a woman and everybody else is supposed to instantly reference you as female because then that in itself then completely invalidates me as a transperson and makes a mockery of us real transgender women because we have gone through all these things to be our true selves but now have these so called trans people damaging our place in society because the rest of the population can't take us seriously anymore and this just upsets me how stupid it all is now x
I'm not trans, I am more tomboy but it took me until the last year to truly feel comfortable in my body at 27. It's crazy what's happening now. Lord have mercy. Smh
The way you articulate your views and think through things logically and critically is so refreshing. I wish people on both sides would stop relying on emotion to make their points and drive their arguments. People need to be open to actually listening to the other side too, not automatically shutting it down when it doesn’t agree or reveals a flaw in their way of thinking.
I hate that liberals will call Blaire "Pick me" No. Blaire is a logical, intelligent human with common sense and reasoning. Something that the far left does not have.
I don't mean to nit-pick (and I agree with your general point), but you can't be 'liberal' and 'far left'. That's kind of what a lot of the discussion on these issues misses: the *far* left couldn't care less about their pronouns and petty fixations like that - they're more upset about things like one per cent of the population owning over half the money/property, and billions of people starving as a result! (Case in point: I'd say I'm on the far-left myself, and I have no idea what a 'pick-me' is. Aren't they those lovely little people who live in the rain-forest?) :)
@@Microtherion Absolutely!! I definitely respect you for pointing that out and I could always be educated on things because I don't know everything.. I don't really know much about that stuff.... just what I've observed. Also, a "pick me" is how to describe a person (They can be male or female) who will intentionally go out of their way to impress a person or people with it being at the expense of others. I say that only because liberals have called Blaire White a pick me for being trans and conservative when she is a very reasonable person who doesn't succumb to the delusions of the other side or believe she's owed everything based on her circumstances.
@@erin8492 Thank you. I was a little hesitant about mentioning it, actually. You're obviously a very nice and open-minded person. (Both of those are also far more important than 'left' or 'right'). My analysis of the 'culture wars' is that they're largely the creation of the centrist political parties, and intended to distract us all from the fact that their actual *policies* are almost identical, and have the support of probably less than 20 per cent of the population (!) They even have difficulty finding sufficiently unprincipled leaders these days. The last two U.S. presidents were/are both so old that people have genuine concerns that the 'commander-in-chief' might have serious senile dementia, or might die in office. I feel the same as an adoptive mom. I don’t pretend to be my child’s bio mom. I didn’t birth my baby, scientifically I’m not my child’s mother and it doesn’t offend me at all when others ask me about adoption or being an adoptive mom or if they ask about my child’s bio mother, why should I be? I’m an adoptive mom and I do all the things for my child a mother does and love my child as any parent does (more love than I could have imagined was possible to experience) So I can relate to other moms almost fully, I’ve even been pregnant but I didn’t give birth to my child. I wouldn’t dream of forcing people to pretend I’m the bio mother or worse lying to our child because it made me feel better
What a wonderful comment, thank you! I feel like the whole trans women are women is actually denying trans people existence. Implicitly saying that being trans is not as good as being a woman therefore we should remove the distinction altogether. Your parallel with adoptive vs bio moms fits perfectly!
My bff adopted a girl as the youngest of 4 and simply told her that she was the one they got to choose. I thought that was sweet. More power to you mom!
Let me just say.... You are AWESOME! Such a great way to look at it. And honestly, while all moms love their children, I think adoptive moms have even MORE love to give (hard to put into words without it sounding like bio moms don't love their kids) because they didn't have the oxytocin, etc., that biological bond, but more so, they CHOOSE to open their hearts to the child they adopted. Not taking anything away from bio moms, but adoptive moms, to me, are just as much, if not more, the superheroes of the momverse. As someone who has crap eggs, I was not able to conceive my own child and have been looking into adoption, this warmed my heart!
@@moosedawg71 If adoption is on your heart go for it, your baby is out there 💕 it’s definitely hard and there is grief and loss (I think of my child’s bio family every day and the weight of their decision ) but so much healing and love too. When people tell me that the birth mother gave me her baby, I correct them- she gave her baby me (a stable family). Everything birthmothers do is for their babies.
Holy crap. “I transitioned to blend in with society.” Damn Blaire, that was impactful. I think that statement is what sets you apart from others in the trans community. When ever I said I was a tomboy, my dad would snap "No your not!" because he thought 'Lesbian' or 'trans' until my mum sat him down to explain she was a tomboy as a child and teen and came out straight, married, had kids. He was always fine with me liking boys stuff, it was just that single term that triggered him lmao. However nowadays, a 'tomboy' is somehow a girl wanting to be trans...?
Good on your parents. I really think it has a lot to do with parents pushing or encouraging this onto their kids when most likely they're just Tomboys. I'm one of four girls in my family, and me and the oldest sister are definitely what would be considered Tomboys. So often my sister would be asked if she was lesbian, she's not. I've studied to become an aircraft mechanic, which is quite a masculine job but I'm not lesbian and have never thought of being a man. We both are now Mother's. I think if we grew up with parents, family or friends that were heavily influenced with the LGBT movement of today, my sister and I would have been pressured to think we were either lesbians or Trans. Sucks nowadays that girls can't even enjoy more boyish things or boys enjoying more girlish things without someone whispering in their ear that they HAVE to be lesbian or think they're the opposite gender.
I'm a complete success story for being a transwoman and transexual and this ideology blows my mind... these people can't even accept what they are and want people to accept them.. the delusion never ends.

Great video. Just a side note, albeit a long one, the pronoun topic is also highly anglocentric and self-absorbed. Many languages are, opposed to English, inflected. Mine also has three grammatical genders. The distinction of grammatical gender from natural gender is very important and many English speakers don't grasp that. To give an example, in French, which has only two grammatical genders, a book is masculine and a house is feminine. Or a car. Yes, French cars are all female, get over it. In my native tongue a child grammatically is a "neutrum", derived from Latin, which means, "neither of the two" and would correspond to "it" in English. Children are definitely not things here. Language-wise, you could argue, they kinda are. Considering that most of the world does not speak English as their first language, despite ... well, the British kinda having tried real hard a few hundred years ago ;-), and modern English, basically having become a non-inflected language, now trying to shove things into it it's contemporary simplified structure is ill-equipped to support, just seems patently insane to many non-anglophones. And we are the majority on this planet. Words in at least some other languages have an immediately apparent grammatical gender, of which there are at times three, which also absolutely can, for various reasons, but do not have to, differ from their natural gender. And I am only talking about a bunch of European languages, not even the ones that f.i. do not even have pronouns in our shared sense, exactly, in the first place, or the languages I know absolutely nothing about, of which there are a great lot of. No idea how Mandarin is structured, for example. We might all be surprised. Sorry for the long-winded novel. Just an outside perspective on this, let me call it, American export.

The pronoun stuff started being stupid as soon as “enbies” got involved. Yeah that’s where I disagree with Blair. English HAS pronouns, people USE pronouns. Everyone has a gender to which pronouns are ascribed, but those pronouns don’t belong to them. Personal pronouns are called that because they refer to persons, not because they belong to them personally. it’s a subtle but important distinction.
Yes! This is where the pronoun debate confuses me! Why do ppl care what someone calls them when they’re not around? Bc that’s generally when one would use a pronoun. Anything other than that and you’re asking to be called by a nickname. i.e., “bun” “demon” pronouns… They’re nicknames.

It's impossible to have a useful, constructive or even just worthwhile conversation with someone if both sides can't at least agree on the fundamental truths of the matter. So it makes sense that Matt continues to press them on the definition of "woman". It's such a fundamental baseline matter of fact that it should be an easily agreed upon truth with which they could begin to have a deeper conversation. However, the activists refuse to come to terms with even the most basic of truths.
My 6 year old son is 100% “masculine” in every sense of being a boy. He started identifying himself as being a boy/being like Daddy when he was a toddler. He doesn’t want to wear girl clothes, and has never been interested in Barbies etc. He is totally 💯 a little man in the making.. BUT… he still likes shows like Gabby’s Dollhouse (still one of his favorite- he thinks Gabby is pretty & all the animals are cute 🥰), Doc McStuffins, etc… He loves to play with his little sister’s baby dolls sometimes, and knows how to be nurturing and sweet. When his sister has pink bows on her pigtails or a pretty dress on, he’ll say “awwwwe you look so pretty/cute LayLay!” (Her nickname) He has an admiration & appreciation for feminine, pretty things- because they’re pretty and sweet! THIS IS HOW ALL MALES SHOULD BE… imho. Both sexes should have a healthy admiration & appreciation for the opposite sex. To me this is normal and healthy. But how can one have that admiration and respect for the opposite sex when all of the masculine and feminine lines are being blurred and no one knows what they even represent anymore?

I love that Blair makes people feel comfortable about the LGBTQ+ community. So many people are scared to talk about their opinions on these matters because the fear of hurting or offending someone is so genuine. Most of us aren't against anyone's God given right to be whoever they want to be but our ideals are based in logic and that goes against so much of what makes these communities happy. So to me this is always a safe space for people who take in the science of our bodies and also the science of our mentality.
Blaire is a no-nonsense person who will tell the truth instead of trying to shape "reality" into something it isn't - this kind of blatant honesty is severely lacking in the trans community.

I feel like all this got so far because people don't understand the fact that human as a biological being is an animal no matter how clever human is. So that's why you can't separate biology and your mind. The fact that your childhood can affect on your actions in future is one of the ways of saying that physics and mind are not separated things, because this says that smth out of your mind (environment around you as a child) can affect your mind and you won't be able to completely erase it

I wish you all the best and I hope you're happy with your life.

Lmfao🤣🤣🤣 I totally respect Blair as well, cuz she’s not trying to create new woke terms just for attention or confuse anyone, she’s just trying to blend in with society and look the way that makes her feel her best. I sometimes feel deep gender dysphoria. I’ve also realized a big part of that is a mix of masculine interests and past trauma that makes me feel less feminine/in danger due to being feminine. The trauma isn’t going to be lessened by transitioning, it’s only going to be dealt with through therapy. I wish people didn’t automatically jump to a transgender diagnose, it can be so harmful to just ignore any other issues. Blaire helps so much with dealing with these kind of issues. She’s realistic and nuanced way past what people seem to think and I wish more people gave her the credit she deserves.
Good point. I feel that for female humans (women), a lot of them may try to behave/appear masculine as a defense mechanism or an insecurity thing (and I’m differentiating those who just happen to be “masculine” just by their personality or interests, aka they’re being themselves). And I’m mentioning insecurity because I’m thinking that I belonged in that group when I was in high school. I have trichotillomania and I felt that I would look weird dressing “girlier” because I was stuck on certain hair styles that covered my patches. Now I happen to lean more on the “girlier” side but I enjoy “masculine” things because I just do, not because I feel that I need to appear a certain way. Nowadays these kind of women think this is some new gender of “non-binary” when in reality, she equates being a woman is to be feminine (as there is no such thing as “no gender” in human species, a “non-binary” is on the same level as identifying as some made-up species).
I hate bras, can’t wear tight clothes, dresses or women’s shoes, no thongs, don’t know how to do my hair, I hate shopping, I don’t dress like a man though, I can’t decorate. I like nature, exploring, other “gender-neutral” activities, don’t like sports, not into “hanging with the guys”, would rather hang with the girls, I have had boyfriends only and in a ltr, I love children. I very much love submitting to a man. I could probably be with a woman but wouldn’t want a relationship with her, so I don’t need to have that in my life or label myself anything. If I really wanted to I could identify as bi but since I’ve never been with (except that 1 time) nor ever will be with a woman, why would I? I’m just a tomboy and I’m ok with me. I have been mistaken for a guy from afar, with my head covered, I was not the least bit taken aback. It’s like yeah well you would considering.
"If you can't define what a woman is, why are you trying so hard to redefine it?" - exactly THIS!
Exactly.
And why do they think you have to be a woman to define what a woman is? That short haired dude is a biological woman... And he doesn't want to be seeing as something he can't define?
They can, but they simply won't because the minute they open their mouth and say it, it will be the same as confessing they are very confused.
Also, anytime you are in Salt Lake, you have a girlfriend here who would be honored to show you around town! 🥰
👏👏👏
My 6 yo son said not too long ago that he wished he was a girl. I didn't immediately change his name and pronouns. Instead, I asked him why he felt that way. He responded with something like, "Because (the names of his 2 sisters) never get in trouble." He gets punished more often because the girls tend to be more obedient, but in his mind it's because he's a boy and they're girls. Kids can make weird connections like that sometimes.
Not just kids. Adults make weird connections like that sometimes.
@@petersaysthings - True that.
Not because ''more obedient''.
Boys are beaten more by mothers than girls, because boys are considered ''little men'' who can endure worse physical punishment even though they are not.
Exactly! Kids often draw their own (incorrect) conclusions! Just like when parents divorce, they often feel it's their fault.
And if you were a lefty your child would be “trans” and you would belong under the jail.
Your womb doesnt have to work to be a woman :D I agree with you.
im female btw lol
My clock has struck midnight. Last I checked my DNA didn’t change.
"I would never understand menstruating, being pregnant, giving birth, and it's OKAY" Kudos to you, Blaire! THIS!!!
What about biological women who cant experience those things too? Are they supposed to feel less like women because of that? Because thats how many might feel hearing things like that.
@@Damianskull do you call a three leg dog a cat? or a child with mentally ill disorder a monkey? I don't think so...

Thank you for your common sense
You raise a very good point that I haven't heard anyone make before. There is a very cringey and confused, walking contradiction mess of a trans person where I work. I am so off-put by this person and would never dream of using the masculine pronouns that this person demands, so I skip pronouns altogether and just use this person's name. I like to think it's a win win 🙃
True.
The scary thing is they are trying to legislate against common sense like that
Wow! I think we should sing the petition to legally ban TikTok in our country as it’s influence on young minds is just most destructive.
I used to be this type of kid but my parents were as reasonable as you. I want to say thank you for protecting your child and being a rational parents instead of listening to all these woke people

God bless.
“If you don’t know what a woman is then WHY are you trying so hard to define it?” 💯
Addison’s appearance is intended to provoke. Definitely to provoke. Either to attract curiosity or to spark debates.

What conversation should be having exactly? I dont get why normal ppl have to entertain this madness. Most ppl will never know a trans person.
That is such a well put and amazing explanation!

Agreed, and Matt kind of addressed that in his video about the episode, referencing when the "Doctor" says to him "I don't know why you care so much."
Their entire JOB is to make people care.

Yes 10 years ago we were sooo accepting of girls playing with “boy toys,” now we say “oh she likes hot wheels, put her on hormones!”

I don't mean to nit-pick (and I agree with your general point), but you can't be 'liberal' and 'far left'.

I, me, and my are pronouns, my mans. You used three pronouns to talk about yourself in your comment about how no one uses pronouns to refer to themselves 🤣 but I get what you're saying. I just wanted to pop in and be a dick.

This is so sweet

I love that Blair makes people feel comfortable about the LGBTQ+ community. So many people are scared to talk about their opinions on these matters because the fear of hurting or offending someone is so genuine. Most of us aren't against anyone's God given right to be whoever they want to be but our ideals are based in logic and that goes against so much of what makes these communities happy. So to me this is always a safe space for people who take in the science of our bodies and also the science of our mentality.

No matter how many times it's been explained to me, I still don't get it. Surely they don't expect us to see them as genderless or whatever else they make up? I sometimes feel deep gender dysphoria. I’ve also realized a big part of that is a mix of masculine interests and past trauma that makes me feel less feminine/in danger due to being feminine.
The trauma isn’t going to be lessened by transitioning, it’s only going to be dealt with through therapy. I wish people didn’t automatically jump to a transgender diagnose, it can be so harmful to just ignore any other issues. Blaire helps so much with dealing with these kind of issues. She’s realistic and nuanced way past what people seem to think and I wish more people gave her the credit she deserves.
Thank you for sharing this! I'm sorry it must be painful to think about, but this was a very insightful perspective.
Agreed. I can relate to your post.
