I am SO thankful that Dan overcame depression, because look at his heart and amazing talents and gifts that bless us all! I know that you have Chester as your top favorite metal voice of all time, which is awesome, and you don’t ever need to let go of that. Love lives forever and just because people pass away…love can never die. That is why love is so important. I believe that Chester knows up in heaven that he is still loved, appreciated, and yet GREATLY MISSED. 😢 It is SO IMPORTANT to get the message out there for ANYONE struggling with depression, addiction, or anything that is overwhelming…..remember that you are loved! This was such a beautiful tribute. The respect shown throughout this video is so heartfelt & beautiful. I might be reaching but the way Dan has his hair up, dressed in long sleeves…. is speaking volumes to me. Dan didn’t want his hair, his body or muscles to be any sort of focus. There was one purpose to this, it was to pay tribute to an admired, fallen friend. It was beautiful.🙏❣️

Dan did a song called Heart of Steel and at the start of the video he talks about depression, his Dad died in 2017 from cancer, it was obviously a very difficult time. if you ever watch him sing american Trilogy, that was a tribute to his dad and he recorded it less than a week after his Dad died..This guy exposes himself to the world, there is no pretense, he is one awsum outstanding singer, who puts his heart and soul into everything he does....welcome to the Vasc Nation Rabbit hole xxx

I've never suffered true depression, but know people who have,so I agree with you & Dan..please reach out to someone for help,there is no shame in that. "Don't do a permanent solution to a temporary problem") as a wise man once said.)

dan went through a point in his life where he was depression and suicidal thoughts. He went through therapy for a year. His music and his faith pulled him through. He is very upfront about this. Thank you for your honest reaction.

I pray for everyone that Struggle with depression. I have never bin there, so I don’t know How bad it can be. My son, who is a songwriter and tv produser Struggle with that. Dan himself was down with depression a long time, he has said. I think creative and people who make music and art can do that just because they have so deep feelings inside them self. I don’t know.
