I used to be a lead vocalist in a country band and I had a steel guitar player that I've stood next to you for years gave me tears, dude when I heard it thank you Dave I'm over here in America
I am so glad that Dave has given we diehard Classic Country Fans a place to go to listen and enjoy all these great songs. I just love it. The steel is such a part of the real country music, and what made it unique.
David is wonderful. Of the players in our present era, David is my favorite. He plays all the old hits I love. His interpretations are creative. His work with John Stannard is some of the best stuff you will ever see and hear.
My brother was a fine steel guitar player. You play it the way he did and the way he always said it should be! He bowed out, and I can imagine he's playing with Heavenly Angels and others gone on before. Thanks for sharing a great sound!!
I listen to your music when ever I get a chance, do not think anyone better , keep them coming, now that I have a smart TV we all can sit around and enjoy
I have always loved steel guitars! When I was younger I would cry and break out in goose bumps when I would hear them.. I would have loved to have had some one teach me.. My most favorite instrument to listen too..
I was the same way when I first heard a steel guitar as a kid! That's what I love about the OLD country music!!! There are some newer generation country I like. But, a large percentage of the newer country music to me is sleeze country!!!!
Very nice touch as usual David...your new blue Rains looks really nice and glad i got to see you in action playing it in Dallas this year...Take care and say hey to all across the big pond...your South Texas Friend...Brian Folks
As well, I could, (and have sometimes) listen to you for hours. I believe that you rank right up there with a very good friend of mine... Al Brisco from Canada. There a lot of gifted Steel players, but you and Al are tops in my book. Thanks for sharing your exceptional talent with us all that appreciate this music. God bless you. Peter MacIver. Canada.
I wish to thank you all for your comments to my youtube broadcasts. It is very much appreciated. I do try and contact you all personally if there's any questions that I have been asked, and I also make note of all your requests too. I have some great ideas for future videos and I will try and play some of your requests also. Wishing you all a happy Christmas and a New Year. Sincerely, David Hartley
