David, Though we would welcome even more, the volume of Toyota manufacturing within our borders is impressive. We just wish more of the products left the factory and headed to a Canadian dealership.
Hi David, I own a Lexus RX450h 2020 model year built in Cambridge and I’m very happy with it! I’m an Industrial Engineer by profession and have worked in automotive. I definitely preferred working with Japanese companies rather than American companies and saw the difference in philosophies. Great video 👍
Thank you for sharing David. I don't recall seeing much about the Toyota plants in Canada. We have a Matrix 2008 here in the US, that drives and runs very well and very stable and it was manufactured in Canada.
Unfortunately most companies see workers opinions as worthless. I am glad Toyota actually listens to those who put mind and muscle to build these cars. When the worker's opinion is appreciated then they take more pride in their work. Wish American culture understood this.
Its such a pleasure to watch David's videos. David, if possible, can you please make a follow-up video on the new Toyota Land Hopper (or mini Land FJ Cruiser)? Thank you.
In your TBP, step 3 should be "Break down the problem," not "Breakdown the problem." Would've Honda made this mistake? Perhaps. Volkswagen? No, because they wouldn't have created a TBP.
Another great video David.
I had the honor of working with Frank Voss when he was VP at TMMK. He was a great listener and problem solver.

They send Canadian made Toyotas to USA for more profit
Back 20 years ago my friend waited 6 months for Honda Accord JDM. This car still running.

Toyota/Lexus number 1. Amazing.

Japanese plant assembly hands and brains, priceless 😊
Dave, I still favor a Japanese-made car instead.
Really liking my Lexus NX350h made in Ontario !

Great Video David!
Impressive 👏
This may be psychological, but the Japanese Tahara plant cars are even better built than the TMMC examples.
David, I want to purchase a 2025 Lexus GX, when do you think they can put the engine issues behind them?
Please come and join Boxwood plant - Toyota Tsusho...which is right behind Toyota plant. Its only parts storage. But I would be happy to meet you :)
Toyota build a plant in Edmonton Alberta so I can work there.
13:20 like refrigerators being built !!
I feel like they need a new system. The one where the same engine manufactured on 2 different continents wont blow up for the same reason.

toyota build quality is cheap
