Guys, Nice review! You guys have a lot of experience with robots. BTW I see few old robots in the background and I would like to suggest here that if possible do donate few of these oldie bots to the some needy universities in developing nations. Such donations really help since When I was in my grad school had some infrastructure there but still were years behind the big universities in the US and other countries. This is just a suggestion it will help the students learn in a better way. All good wishes to you!

The Go1 is basically an updated version of the A1 with more sensors and cameras. There are cheaper and more expensive Go1 models based off different hardware options. The full list of differences are a bit too technically long-winded to post here but if you are interested you can email trsupport@trossenrobotics.com and they'll answer any questions.
Where's the tech specs? Only one li-ion pack? Does it run ROS? Is it open source? Runtime? Cool, but I learned very little especially if you're trying to sell an 11k robot.

This may be the epitomy of hyperconsumerism. Most expensive useless contraption ever presented by 3 grown dudes who have absolutely no idea what usage they bought it for, who never dare opening the manual and have no idea what they are doing but are intensly satisfied to do it.
From a mechanical point of view, it seems simple enough. I imagine the hard part is the software to make it use those simple components in the way it does. I wonder if there's a walking robot building hobby community that I just haven't heard of yet. If you're into flying and building racing and freestyle drones, perhaps it wouldn't be too great of a leap to get into this.
Some might say: They are copying Boston Dynamics. Well, Dogs look pretty similar and even if they are copying them then that's good thing. This way we have competition and this will result in a better product for the consumer overall.
Almost everything on the bot's body looks 3d printed, so I hope that someday, the individual circuit boards, print files and components will be available to hobbyist at a much cheaper price..

I think this is a clone of the MIT cheetah rather than spot. The software is open source for the cheetah if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Hey Shane I have been waiting for your videos for sooooo long

I'd like to know what the red robot is on the shelf.
so.... does it have to constantly have to move its feet up and down, can it not do that after you press the directional knob. just wondering
There's a few different walking modes on the robot. In one of them, it only moves it's feet up/down after pressing the directional knob.
Is it autonomous ???
I'm subbing. Need more videos like this on the internet.
Plenty more on the way :) Thanks for subbing.
