You said in the video that Hitting coach and Pitching coach the only rating that matters is teaching Hitting/Pitching. Does that mean the Development and Mechanics don't matter for those coaches?

I just wanna say that my preferences are exactly like yours in every category when it comes to managers.. but just to help others is I find managers in lower minors A or A+ or rooker leagues look for a manager who favors pitching with the best dev and mech as possible.. and in my last DSL team I will sign a young manager with favor pitching with atleast decent development or mechanics. I don't send all my best international prospects to this team. But I've found the manager does improve over time. I also have found favor pitching managers does help with dev pitchers.. it's not a trade and true result just things I've noticed.. anyways thanks for the videos and the help

Thanks for this great video! Does relationship with the players matter?

How important is the relationships tab? Does it matter more with certain personnel than others? Also, random question that I've always been wondering, rehab assignments, helpful at all?

your pitching coach should have good relations with pitchers, your hitting coach with batters, your manager with all of them. it depends on their personality though. personable coaches will have the best relations with players compared to other personalities, however this will have a negative effect on poor performing teams when the manager cant keep the clubhouse together.

Do you think the mechanics and aging may also affect relationships? For example, a coach with a better handles aging would get along better with veterans vs one with lower handles aging?

Sgt M, today I saw something that shook me, although it doesn't relate to the personnel in this video. The data shows my "favors tools" scout is overly generous about some player's upsides. But in vetting this data what really shook me is that pitchers with 70+ control and 30 movement aren't giving up home runs. I noticed this about a couple of my guys, then telescoped out to look at the entire league. (Fictional league in 1990.) And the data affirms that idea: Players with elite control, movement doesn't seem to matter. Your thoughts on this?

This is probably something kinky going on with historical. Historical has issues with low ratings and often other unrelated issues just on the merit of being very poorly managed. Regardless, I will look into this myself just to make sure that it isn't the case, and I will get back to you on the results.
As for HFT being overly generous, that can be the case.

How about handling aging on those hitting and pitching coaches for ones major league club ?
Isn't that a small key to have an aged player hold on to his ratings, or is that part totally on the Manager ?

Do the Assistant GM’s ratings have any impact on how they handle minor league promotions/demotions?
