doesn't even have to be the weirdest! I'd love a "world's sleepiest" episode that just goes into detail about hibernation and how different animals approach it to give a broad overview of the topic
World’s Yappiest! An episode about complex communication systems in the wild, like how fungus “talks” to other beings or how bees and ants do their little dances or how dogs communicate playing by doing a little bow before running around
I would like to see a world's worst. Animals that are comparably terrible at what they do but yet has managed to survive. You talked about how a dragonfly has something like a 95% success rate while hunting. There has to be some animal at the other end of that spectrum. Edit: 21:09 I remember seeing that video a bunch of years ago. It's one of the coolest things they've found on Nautilus Live.
World's Creepiest for an October episode? Could be creepy looking, with scary hunting or mating strategies or maybe associated with creepy folklore if you want to go down that route. And, on a more positive note, World's Most Helpful? For organisms/animals that serve the ecosystem the most or show altruistic behavior?
World's most roundabout: animals who have evolved the most roundabout way to solve problems (like the wood frog evolving to cease living then come back to life rather than learning to dig)
I knew about pelican eels. Gulper eels are also another animal, so pelican eel is a better name. Another deep-sea fish that could've fit this episode is the black swallower. If you look them up you'll see what's disproportionate about them.
11:11...I once saw ( in the back of someone's pick up truck ) a Teri dactyl skull; the eye socket was as big as a basket ball too !! 17:13...I know !!! Those Aussie possums have prehensile tails and their eyes glow an orange-ish color in the dark. Good show !!!
World's wildest skeletons! I thought of this after watching episode 10 because I google the puffer fish after Maya said that it's spikes were actually modified scales and saw it's skeleton and was amazed.
World’s most diverse - an episode dedicated to insects and gastropods since they are the two most diverse groups of animals and they deserve more recognition :) i think it would be cool to highlight some of the more common species and show appreciation for some of our backyard friends. i know so many people that are scared of insects and snails and they don’t even know why.
I KNEW THE COLOSSAL SQUID FACT I'm in nz where we have a colossal squid in brine in our local museum but I only knew their eyes as roughly the size of a football (soccerball) so I was like surely that's basketball sized
Giving myself credit for knowing the gulper eel!!!!! And because of that EVNautilus channel! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about ocean life and geology to check out their videos. They’ve done years of research and of mapping the sea floor with their teams. It’s super cool! (They also have all their livestream vods, of just hours of scientists yapping about marine life, corals, rocks, etc. if y’all are interested)
I was forced to make a whole presentation about proboscis monkeys in 6th grade :( it was awful, and i had to make my ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT ABOUT THEIR NOSES, because i couldnt make it about THEIR WEENS, and it has made me hate monkeys.
worlds loneliest (could be two ideas either most isolated animals like hardest to get to or least compatible to co-habititating with their own species, or others)
Fun long-nosed monkey fact, in Malay they used to be called Orang Belanda, which translates to Dutchman. And honestly, fair assessment, as a Dutch person I can confirm a lot of us do look like that (plus there's the whole brutal colonialism thing)
You should do Wold's Most Attractive! Itll be about pheromones or animals who have the most mates in life or something like thay idk. BUT the thumbnail will be Connor blushing a lot and making googoo faces at some insect
I'd already heard of the pelican eel bc I'm a huge nerd for deep sea fish. Strongly considering getting a degree in marine biology to study deep sea fish, or become a paleontologist. Not sure yet lol
I know we don't want to exploit wildlife for human benefit, but the Giraffe Weevil could save Snoop Dogg a lot of time. Just sayin. That bug rolls a mean joint.
I know this sounds so random but hear me out, sometimes when Connor says the height of something or an animal he will say something like half a Maya or something and I think in the background should be a blank cardboard cutout that is Maya's height then maybe even one of Connor next to it, on the heads it has their heights written down too so the next time someone is like oh it's like a quarter Connor or something we have that cut outs for a funny reference, just a random idea I have that I couldn't get rid of all day lol
I'm pretty sure scientists recently found out that giraffes primarily evolved necks that long so the males would be better at competing against each other. Most of the leaves that giraffes eat aren't that high up. Also, okapis (their closest relatives) have long necks, but not to that extent.
Worlds most unlikely friends--- animals who have unexpected symbiotic relationships with other animals and coexist (like ravens and wolves)
YES
Dope
Omg this 🙏
THIS
froge and taran tula
world's eepiest - weirdest sleeping patterns/habits, longest hibernations, most sleep needed, etc
doesn't even have to be the weirdest!
Siren wins hands down
The pelican eel is the monster your dog thinks the vacuum cleaner is
Fr
World's Most Least Intelligent
Dedicated to animals that have what seems like very poor survival strategies, but somehow still exist.
Love this idea, but the name doesn't need "most" in it so maybe just, "World's Least Intelligent" or "World's Dumbest"
And no cheating by picking “human boy.”
Poor Stompy
@@T_Shepard that's the joke
Worlds boogiest - the best dancers
worlds furthest- animals who have the longest migration/travel the furthest
World's silliest (funny animals)
World's sneakiest (stealth)
World's fastest (swimming, running, flying, etc)
World's most succesful
They’ve already done worlds stealthiest
worlds first - the oldest recognisable members of various groups (first bear, first spider etc)
Worlds Most Colorful might be fun.
yes! play a game "is this colourful animal poisonous or trying to attract a mate"
Worlds chilliest - animals who seem to have no fight or flight bone in their body
maya is very good at describing things for the podcasters! also I vote for the worlds jiggliest
worlds most forbidden snack animals all the 'i look like a jelly frog fr fr but youll die if you touch me' critters lmao
I first read 'world's most disappointing' and then lold when I read it correctly, then thought hahaha that might be a good episode theme!
World’s least threatening - animals that make you question how they’ve made it this far
World's slimiest? There's an abundance of creatures with significant amounts of mucous and/or who use their slime in interesting ways!
I knew about pelican eels. Gulper eels are also another animal, so pelican eel is a better name.
Another deep-sea fish that could've fit this episode is the black swallower. If you look them up you'll see what's disproportionate about them.
You just know Maya said they could only photoshop Connor's nose in the thumbnail😂
Male noses are the ones that are bigger anyways 😂
She didn’t. But I’m not trying to get fired :)
@@MikMWP Very smart!
The gulper eel I first heard about from Animal Jam funnily enough. A better description is that it looks like an arrow
This makes me think about the most dimorphic! Like with the angler fish!
commenting to boost engagement and get this podcast further out there! seriously incredible job you guys ❤
I loved this episode, i discovered the olm a few days ago and my god they're so cute i love them
World's Cutest!
.. which could be about cute looking animals that are actually really dangerous/impressive in some way
absolutely love the mountain goat mug, the graphics are awesome🥰
23:20 that made me feel good, I had an obsession with deep sea creatures from a young age (still do)
Alveus needs some giraffe weevils!
Gulper eel!!! Hell yeah! They are so awesome! I love so many deep sea creatures, they're always so interesting.
11:11...I once saw ( in the back of someone's pick up truck ) a Teri dactyl skull; the eye socket was as big as a basket ball too !! 17:13...I know !!! Those Aussie possums have prehensile tails and their eyes glow an orange-ish color in the dark. Good show !!!
hello im Maya and this is Wild about it
the pelican eel looks like an otamatone when it does the defense thing
World's wildest skeletons! I thought of this after watching episode 10 because I google the puffer fish after Maya said that it's spikes were actually modified scales and saw it's skeleton and was amazed.
I was just binge rewatching the podcast playlist while recovering from being ill and the feed refreshed!! NEW WORLDS WILDEST VIDEO YIPPEEEE
Wait if the weevils neck is 2-3 times it's body length, doesn't that mean it would be up to an 18 ft neck on a 6 ft human?
World’s most specialized would be cool to see (ex. Brazil nuts and the agoutis)
welcome back to wilds worldest everydboday
worlds cutest (but not the stereotypical ones!!!) axolotl, leaf sheep, rubber ducky isopods!!!
World’s most diverse - an episode dedicated to insects and gastropods since they are the two most diverse groups of animals and they deserve more recognition :)
i think it would be cool to highlight some of the more common species and show appreciation for some of our backyard friends. i know so many people that are scared of insects and snails and they don’t even know why.
I freakin love mountain goats and I bought two mugs as soon as they came out.
I KNEW THE COLOSSAL SQUID FACT I'm in nz where we have a colossal squid in brine in our local museum but I only knew their eyes as roughly the size of a football (soccerball) so I was like surely that's basketball sized
Worlds most under appreciated - Worlds laziest - Worlds longest
Yay I got quiz time correct!! My fun facts about squid finally came in use lol
Worlds softest (fluffiest)
World's Hungriest (animals that eat the most relative to their own weight)
Giving myself credit for knowing the gulper eel!!!!! And because of that EVNautilus channel! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about ocean life and geology to check out their videos. They’ve done years of research and of mapping the sea floor with their teams. It’s super cool!

I learned about pelican eels from zefrank! Really cool entertainment/biology channel
Just from the intro, I suspect they’re talking about barnacles? 😂
funnest episode yet ❤ loved it
I was forced to make a whole presentation about proboscis monkeys in 6th grade :( it was awful, and i had to make my ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT ABOUT THEIR NOSES, because i couldnt make it about THEIR WEENS, and it has made me hate monkeys.
Love this podcast, ty.
worlds loneliest (could be two ideas either most isolated animals like hardest to get to or least compatible to co-habititating with their own species, or others)
Worlds luckiest- any animal with super amazing evolutions that help them survive crazy things
Awesome podcast.
Fun long-nosed monkey fact, in Malay they used to be called Orang Belanda, which translates to Dutchman. And honestly, fair assessment, as a Dutch person I can confirm a lot of us do look like that (plus there's the whole brutal colonialism thing)
TIL weevils are bugs, I definitely thought they were a type of rodent... :D
35:49 no way Connor’s neck is NINE INCHES long
She was probably just reading the measuring tape, defining where a neck begins and end is kind of hard
world’s hardest! animals with the toughest exteriors
pelican eel made its rounds on the internet a lil while back - i hoped to see them here! theyre such funny lil guys
Squidward
You should do Wold's Most Attractive! Itll be about pheromones or animals who have the most mates in life or something like thay idk. BUT the thumbnail will be Connor blushing a lot and making googoo faces at some insect
I'd already heard of the pelican eel bc I'm a huge nerd for deep sea fish. Strongly considering getting a degree in marine biology to study deep sea fish, or become a paleontologist. Not sure yet lol
Farscape CGI looking Pelican Eel
For april fools you should do an episode about cryptids!
Worlds most venomous
World sleepiest (longest hibernation/sleep hours)
Worlds most destructive
World's most Combustible (that can make fire or explosion or light through chemical reactions like the bombardier beetle)
world's most radioactive
Never heard about most of these
World's Brightest - Animals with the brightest/most vibrant colors in the world (like bioluminescent fish, birds with super vibrant feathers, etc.)
worlds most how'd this lil guy survive ? (creatures that at against all odds are still kicking, the animals that say screw you to charles darwin)
Worlds best workers
I know we don't want to exploit wildlife for human benefit, but the Giraffe Weevil could save Snoop Dogg a lot of time. Just sayin. That bug rolls a mean joint.
episode number 9 of asking for worlds freakiest. animals that reproduce in the wildest ways ☝️
World's wildest intro lmao
What about world's hungriest? Animals that eat the most for their body mass
LMAO I got the quiz right
favorite day of the week!!!
I know this sounds so random but hear me out, sometimes when Connor says the height of something or an animal he will say something like half a Maya or something and I think in the background should be a blank cardboard cutout that is Maya's height then maybe even one of Connor next to it, on the heads it has their heights written down too so the next time someone is like oh it's like a quarter Connor or something we have that cut outs for a funny reference, just a random idea I have that I couldn't get rid of all day lol
does anyone have the link to the weevil rolling up the leaf video?
Can we teach weaviles to roll joints?
Worlds most important(keystone species)
earliest i’ve ever been lol
I'm pretty sure scientists recently found out that giraffes primarily evolved necks that long so the males would be better at competing against each other. Most of the leaves that giraffes eat aren't that high up. Also, okapis (their closest relatives) have long necks, but not to that extent.
12:20 I am cracking up about the image choice. hmm I wonder which one is female? lmao
Worlds most loyal
I thought the title said worlds most disappointing and I’m low key disappointed
"Heh squiddy!"
worlds most rural/most isolated?
Worlds horniest, animals with the biggest horns, tusk or teeth
Better thumbnail :)
I got the quiz question right hihi
World's most brutal
World’s Most Stylish: Animals with Amazing Coats/Skins/etc ❤
world's most unproblematic... if that exists xD i want to know if there are creatures who don't disturb/hurt other creatures or ecosystems to live.
Worlds most tactical/strategic
Worlds most adaptable! Animals that can adapt easily to their environment.
I think world’s smartest would be really interesting. But worlds dumbest would be funniest
Worlds Smelliest/Stinkiest?
Guessing what the animal in the intro is about. Definitely barnicles or something else that's not mobile.
