Easily one of the best rn! I look forward to this every week and a World's Craftiest ep would be amazing. Maybe a smart dog could make it on that list? 😂🙏
Episode suggestions: World's Silliest (funny animals) World's Simplest (very small animals with not a lot going on) World's Flashiest (most beautiful colours, like a bird of paradise) World's Fastest (fastest flight, fastest dig, fastest swim, etc)
About octopuses and how they feel so "alien", i read it somewhere, when you think about smart animals, you usually think about mammals, or birds, animals, taxonomically speaking, very similir to us. But octopuses, are cephalops, invertebrates, that are very different from us on an "evolutionary scale", making their intelligence feels very "alien".
I appreciate how much the two of them have improved at their podcasting conversational skills. It’s a difficult media medium to nail down and it seems like they’ve finally found a sweet spot. They’ve gotten better at not cutting eachother off mid sentence while still picking up eachothers slack when one person is having a hard time
Some suggestions bc I’ve become obsessed: Worlds largest- extinct edition Worlds most misunderstood (HEAVY on great whites) Worlds most impactful (animals that have had a HUGE impact on human history)
yes extinct edition would be so cool!! Prehistoric animals AND BUGS r crazyyyy (especially before the development of earth's ozone layer but they can talk abt that later ;) )
Yayyyy I love this podcast. I remember an episode of Magic Schoolbus that had trapdoor spiders in it, it was really cool! Im glad to see them get more recognition 🎉🎉🎉
Episode suggestions: World's Scariest (for the misunderstood little guys (roaches, rats, snakes, spiders)) World's Gentlest (for the ones that aren't afraid of humans (quokkas, etc)) World's Recovered (the one's that were going extinct but breeding programs etc brought them back) World's Smallest (the small lil guys)
I’m so happy they’re talking about trapdoor spiders, they’re so cool! Also very quick, besides their trip wires they can also feel vibrations through the ground with the hairs on their body. They’re deemed as “aggressive” since they’re very food oriented/aggressive. Kind of like a kingsnake lol
Trapdoor spiders are my favorite spiders with wolf spiders. Found out about them from a random youtube video of someone looking for them, had never heard of a trapdoor spider so I clicked. They're so cool and cute and stuff, I love them
This episode was one of my favourites yet!!!! A few suggestions: world's most charming (animals that go to extremes to find a mate) world's most vulnerable (the species at the brink of extinction) + masbe an episode about the ones that bounced back from there and their populations are now (close to) steady
Trap door spiders are super cool! My PI in my undergrad lab worked on them and while I didn't study them specifically (I studied wolf spiders while I was there) they're always super cool. It's mainly the females that live so long! Since they're so metabolically inactive. Also if you ever see a trapdoor spider species with a funny name like Aptostichus stephencolberti or Aptostichus barackobamai, it's a 90% that was described by my old PI lol
I once came across a giant snapping turtle on a bike ride once. It was on the trail so I just tried to sneak past and not upset it. It’s was really cool to see but also kinda scary.
@@kennethnielsen935 I just watched this vid and was hoping they’d dive into more about the Fossa and its venomous tongue/lick ua-cam.com/video/_WdMDC4112I/v-deo.htmlsi=xl0qdGRoFFKI4v4W
"you're such a human" XD also: once saw a clip where an octopus had 2 color schemes... 1 complete black, the other background texture - and the remarkable part: split vertically in the middle - how do they even............. O....O
When I was about 13yo (I'm 31 now) I was in Fiji walking as far as I could into the ocean on this island excursion we went on. I was terrified I might step on a stone fish until the moment the orange and red banded sea snake swam past my leg, at which point I ran straight back to the shore
A another great episode love this podcast, Plus i have some ideas for episodes World's Unexpected Faster World's Longest World's Funniest World's Sporty World's Heavy Eaters World's Best Voice (Singers) World's Best Climbers
Another great episode but I'm a little disappointed that d majestic, fierce & stealthy Snow Leopard wasn't featured that perfectly camouflages in its icy/rocky habitats high up in d mountains.
12:32 Maya who has little pop culture knowledge accidentally stumbling into one of the main gripes about those X Men films 😂 He should have been un-killable, in the comics he becomes Death when Death touches him as his powers adapt to ANYTHING - so as Death can’t kill Death, become Death 😂
I saw a stonefish one time my friends dad was messin with it pointing to it i think he knew what it was thats why he was pointing idk i dont rememeber……. Little spikey blob in the sea….
I knew a trivia question they didn't 🎉 They don't reflect IR they hold their thermal energy inside their fur so well that they don't EMIT IR light distinct from their environment.
I love that Maya is a measurement comparison to everything😂
Maya is the best freedom unit
Americans will use anything BUT the metric system 🤣
@@Uric43 what the fuck is a kilometre??!!?!?!? 🦅🦅🦅🦅🔥🔥🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@Uric43 YEP LMAO
I'm at least 3 Mayas amount of happy each time Conner does a Maya unit measurement
This is the best podcast out right now no cap.
How about WORLD'S CRAFTIEST? (Animals that build/make things)
Need the episode to go over the birds humans learned sewing from the basket weaving birds
Easily one of the best rn! I look forward to this every week and a World's Craftiest ep would be amazing. Maybe a smart dog could make it on that list? 😂🙏
On god 🙏 world’s craftiest this week prayge

World's Simplest (very small animals with not a lot going on)
World's Flashiest (most beautiful colours, like a bird of paradise)
World's Fastest (fastest flight, fastest dig, fastest swim, etc)
Worlds flashiest would be so fun
Like for real.! Are they serving C.U.N.T?!?!
I love how passionately Maya defends bugs all the time

Welcome to wild about it
very similar episodes this week
Please put chapters back on the videos. It used to be so helpful when we couldn’t finish a video in one sitting. Thank you.
Connor getting scared of the trap door spider twice haha

i love that they ask each other to explain the photos and it's been getting more and more challenging as the podcast continues.
Connor: Gets spooked by scary spider
Maya: Connor stop being a baby
Connor: okay so here’s a stone fish
Maya: 😧😧😧
30:05 Connor, your reaction to a legit jump scare is 100% valid ❤😂
Props to Maya for putting respect on Darwin's name.
They did him dirty :(
Yayyyy I love this podcast. I remember an episode of Magic Schoolbus that had trapdoor spiders in it, it was really cool! Im glad to see them get more recognition 🎉🎉🎉
Octopi, Octopuses, Octopod… I love how the popular discussion on plural octopus has become like pronouncing GIF
OCTOPODES! 😤
The only Podcast i actually really watch and listen to while doing other things on my desk.
Episode suggestions:
World's Scariest (for the misunderstood little guys (roaches, rats, snakes, spiders))
World's Gentlest (for the ones that aren't afraid of humans (quokkas, etc))
World's Recovered (the one's that were going extinct but breeding programs etc brought them back)

"If i saw that on land i would run" perfectly describes all sea creatures
11:53 "ConNoR… you’re such a HumAn…" 🙄💅🏻✨
Connor wanting to steal from the octopus and Maya going OMG CONNOR YOU'RE SUCH A HUMAN made me laugh so hard LMAO
we NEED longer episodes PLEASE
"Connor you always steal from them, you're such a human" sent me 😂😂😂
Heck ye congrats on the sponsorship
This is the first week I’ve gotten to actually watch along and I’m so grateful
This was one of my suggestions! (phrased as “worlds best camouflaged”) Excited to listen!
I genuinely love these podcasts so much. 😃
you should do worlds favourite where you talk about your favourite animals
You guys should do worlds more sorely missed and look at species that have recently gone extinct that were important to their respective ecosystems
30:19 "He doesn't know that?!" Was so funny lmao

Guessing the animal in the intro. Some warm water octopus, because there's a sponge near it.
I think my favorites from this one were the mimic octopudls and the trap door spider. They are SOOO sool
This episode was one of my favourites yet!!!!
A few suggestions:
world's most charming (animals that go to extremes to find a mate)
world's most vulnerable (the species at the brink of extinction) + masbe an episode about the ones that bounced back from there and their populations are now (close to) steady
it warms my heart to watch these two fight like an old married couple about a spider
My cat used to go down trees head first she had that fossa in her
Worlds most elusive should be the next video.

I watch so many diff podcasts and this is legitimately my favorite one
WOOOO I am so excited for an episode on the mimic octopus, they're my favorite type of octopi :)
We'd definitely have heard the Ghillie suit... and possibly not have seen it 😂
2:00 Connor? You haven’t done worlds fastest yet but it would be neat
I was hoping they’d go into the fact about the Fossa having a venomous lick
Excuse me? Care to elaborate???

How about a World's Chillest, like the most calm, no enemies...idk 😂
How is Connor around so many animals and bugs every day, yet gets jump scared by spider videos? 😂
i live for maya's comparisons
4:30 these two presentations also mimic sea snakes
8:47 ombre
I'm not afraid of spiders. But Connor's reactions were justified
18:15 That thing has dragon energy.
World's softest
World's sharpest
World's smartest
World's oldest
World's cutest
this is what i came up with while watching
ENJOY
also great episode
Darwin from First Class, I remember him
"you're such a human" XD
also: once saw a clip where an octopus had 2 color schemes... 1 complete black, the other background texture - and the remarkable part: split vertically in the middle - how do they even............. O....O
Great job with the thumbnail, it took me a while to find Maya
episode 3 of asking for worlds freakiest. Animals that reproduce in the weirdest and wildest ways
I think world's most poisonous would be really interesting!
Episode suggestion:
World’s Saddest -> animals that have gone completely extinct by human related causes.
Still waiting for world's thickest
New Worlds Wildest?? What the frick?!??🗣️
9:06 gives me Trilobite vibes

THANK YOU I LOVE THESE!
worlds most isolated would be a cool topic talking about how they survive with less local prey/resources!!
Darwin was my fav mutant from first class too!

Awesome podcast.
I’d love to see an ep on species with the craziest mating dances or rituals
I don't know what the theme would be, but Kayla comes on as a guest and talks about vultures.
love the episode
Another great episode but I'm a little disappointed that d majestic, fierce & stealthy Snow Leopard wasn't featured that perfectly camouflages in its icy/rocky habitats high up in d mountains.
Looked up some IR polar bear photos, they're pretty weird. basically just a glowing face and ear dots in otherwise mostly darkness. Cool fact!
to be fair even the people watching the podcast wouldn't have seen the ghillie suit.
A lot of fans were mad they killed Darwin so quick canonically he’s like impossible to kill and outlives everyone 💀
11:29 CAUGHT 😂
Stealth 🥷🏻
My favorite podcast

Both plural versions of octopus are correct.

@@kennethnielsen935 omg yes! That one's probably the cutest version
