I gotta say watching JD literally grow up on this channel let alone into an insane skater has been wonderful

I actually remember that video and it was just as entertaining, we love you guys for who you are not by how successful the skating was, we love all the people within braille, plus Gabe goes through so much work every day to think of a new creative video, he has been doing this for soooo long there is honestly only so many other ways you can change up skating and the fact Gabe has been doing it for this long already is just so impressive and we are all so thankful, thank you braille again for the video ❤

The grip tape didn't stick probably because you didn't clean the board. It was likely covered in enough dirt from the peeps skating it that the grip glued to the dirt instead of the board.
Probably true, but even if clean, the grip isn't sticking to much surface with that waffle pattern on top. Especially if it's textured as well
The texture on the board. (the diamonds) have a far greater impact.
(too many "valleys") Not enough surface area for the glue on tape to grab onto.
its a plastic board and was likely injection molded. the molds are sprayed with a chemical so the plastic doesn't stick to it. if the board was washed then the grip tape would have probably stick.
it's not just dirt.. plastic boards now have an oily substance on them so yes should be cleaned with soap and water - that oily substance is bad for men , it's estrogenic and has harmed much wildlife due to this new soft type of plastic being pumped out .

I've been skating 5 months just started my channel growing mad fast watching the his chanel taught me some stuff what to do and what not to do the algorithms are crazy
I had one of these and I didn't like it's weight and concave, so I've sold it, because it wasn't comfortable for usual skateboarding tricks. Right now I'm learning freestyle tricks and I think that Penny 32 will kinda work for that, so I want to get one again)

I was wondering if you’d ever skate one of these. I have had the all black one for a couple of years and they are great cruisers. The only downside is that the deck isn’t particularly grippy. I also have the 36” longboard and that is a pump track ripper 😎
Makes a great cruiser setup. I rock Reds white ceramics and shark wheels with the penny board deck and penny board trucks. Only issue I have is the deck isn’t flat. It has a curve along all edges of the deck and it makes my feet hurt after a while. I got the checkered one. Another thing is when you Ollie, it not only bends LIKE CRAZY on the tail or nose, it messes up the board really bad. Leaves marks and grinds down the deck.

The very 1st skateboard I ever stepped onto and learned to Tic Tac was a Penny board in '87 and I immediately fell in love. I got a Varaflex™ the following Christmas and later saved up for my own first real board which happened to be a Steve Caballero Powel Peralta complete. Fast forward a few decades and got back into skating because of watching yalls videos and just hit 44 last week.
Cool - had an orange polyethylene "precision" skateboard in '76.

Braille taught me how to body Varial and ride down curbs. They are cool.

I had an idea from yesterdays video. I think it would be cool to do a tournament of head to head games of "Don't break the", get multiples of the same deck (something breakable and cheap like the walmart boards) Would be a fun series of videos and be interesting to see what strategies the guys come up with over the course of the tournament.
I like it! I was just thinking of those Ikea skateboards, maybe that would be a good one to try!

One thing that always gets me with this board is people always dismiss it as a cruising board. Have you tried cruising on it? Because I have and it takes a lot longer and a lot more effort to get anywhere than using a regular cruiser 😅 In saying that, I've been skating one of these for over a year now and I really enjoy it for basic tricks, so I guess it's just really getting use to it before you can really use it well :) But awesome video, I've wanted a revisit to this board for so long that of course I'd be overly critical for anything that gets put out, but thanks as always for the awesome content :D

@@peloeonemusic Oh yeah, I know it's the small wheels that make it more difficult to get around, my gripe is just how everyone calls it a cruiser board as is when it's not very comfortable to cruise on 😅 I like to think it is designed with the intention for at least basic and simple tricks, rather than just a different looking cruiser. But hey, it's also an awesome board at a pump track!
I want to see how it holds to rain water? Vaseline over the bearing seals and ride in puddles all day! Perfect cruzer/commuter for pnw?

As a previous downhill longboarder I can assure you that all wheels slide, the difference, hard wheels slide like ice, which is not what you want when going fast, soft wheels slide like butter and shave off speed, which is exactly what you want when going fast
Downhill longboarders have been using soft wheels and doing massive slides on them for like 20 years probably more

I actually own a kryptonics bored like that (I found it by a dumpster and it works great)
Pro tip for the Braile boys. If your grip tape isnt sticking to surface like this, clean the surface with some Automotive Brake Cleaner and a microfiber towel. Guarantee it will get you thru a filming session. I wouldnt recommend it on a wood board cause it will take 3x as long to remove the old grip tape if you need to refresh.

Been a huge fan of this channel for a while and was watching a video the other day that incredible analystics did on your guys's channel and I gotta say, I agree with them. You guys are pumping out a bunch of low quality. Fast uploads for daily uploads for content and not hitting the views. Where as if you put it a little more time and a little more. Ingenuity because I know it becomes harder that you've done so many videos to keep coming up with new content. But if you space it out a little more instead of uploading so often I think it would be getting better content like you guys had in 2019. I would really highly suggest watching that upload if I find it. I will link it but it was super great. I loved the channel. I'll keep supporting you guys even through the lows but just something to think about
