What would happen if you slowed the speed to like 5? I have a stainless steel knife and I even put black cermark spray and it still didnt come out good.
You can get a pretty dark engrave without CerMark at those speeds it will just take a while. You could even do a few passes
Is that material 316L?

When carving stainless steel will appear smoke ? Or can use it without open window ?
No problem, no smoke from stainless but we still recommend venting if possible, although we do know people do use the f1 for metal without venting. Hope that helps!
