Hi do you always have to take handles off?

The cup is too large to spin on the rotary without taking the handle off. Some cups handles won’t come off then that limits engraving choices so the handle doesn’t hit the gantry on a larger laser or in this case won’t spin under the galvo (lasers).

To engrave objects with handles, you can fit the baseplate to the other side. Rotary manual, page 38.

do you buy your tumblers in bulk and if so where do you get them?

Yes I order in bulk as I typically have a lot of large orders for businesses. So there are a few options -Chinese distributors, Amazon wholesale, faire. There’s quite a lot of business sources even local stores have deals on Stanley brands if I have orders for those

Unfortunately there is no “set time” it really depends on settings (everyone I know has their own settings they prefer after experimentation) and complexity of design
