The original writing is from a then unknown Quentin Tarantino. Actually the film was released with 1 year delay because of legal actions involving the MPA triggered by Tarantino because of the excessive changes (in his thoughts) that Oliver Stone did to his script. He actually wanted his name completely erased from the tail titles and then settled for just a mention as there is in the original copies.

Unless he switched guns, there's no way that there is an 11th shell in that shotgun left for Donut Man. Not really sure how there was 10...especially when Donut Man's only had half that and appears to be the same model.
@ActaNonVerba71 Clearly you haven't seen the whole film, the last thing this is: is realistic. It is more of a story of how the Media (Wayne Gale) Blows everything and the wrong things out of proportion. So watch it again .. but through Wayne Gale's eyes ... it makes more sense, In the story probably what really happened was a scuffle with one guard and an ugly fight and the gun getting turned on him. But in Wayne Gales eyes .. he's like Billy the Kid One shotting everything .. no resistance.
