The validation in knowing that someone else see’s these as actual songs instead of fighting game themes is good as hell. That’s why some ppl complained about the soundtrack fr but I’ve been enjoying jamming to the lyrics and all.
I think that they are all phenomenal songs
Music is music, regardless. And guilty gear has some of the best in fighting games!
I feel the same way. Many people don't know but a lot of the characters and paraphernalia in the game are named after real life musicians.
Y'all and me both, these songs are all so unique and just pack such a punch that you can't help but just get sucked into them
"the rift is kinda like zato's theme"
people who know GG lore: 😭🥺😢😔
lol, true
yeah
I definitely agree with the GG strive ost not being too repetitive. I was a little worried about them having vocals because I thought I would get tired of them but after spending some time I am not worried. Loving this soundtrack!
I was not expecting Milia theme to be that heavy holy crap.
Fun fact: The album comes with a game
THEY CALL ME A MADMAN, Finally someone notices the similarities between this and Ghost in the Shell. I never have been so hype for someone having the same opinion than me. Man when you says "you know what this remind me off" I was and the edge of my chair lmao.
Pdt: I discovered your channel today, your content it's dope.
My friend also said the same thing lol it's funny how some people were able to come to the same conclusion. It seriously reminded me of the 2 SAC openings lol
@@HurtboxTV IMO it's not a coincidence, Origa, the singer of the Ghost in the shell intro was Russian and so is Milia Rage the character of this soundtrack
Your comment about the street fighter soundtrack sounding repetitive reminded of something. Yoko Shimomura came back to remix Ryu's theme for smash bros, but despite certain parts repeating, she still managed to keep it fresh by changing the instrumentation and extending it here and there.
8:37 I love the arrangement here. The chords here are, as you put, "happy" but are juxtaposed by somber lyrics to imply a tragic meaning.
Guilty Gear Overture OST after Strive, for sure, such a good OST
Holy orders overture has always slapped hard.
Just found your channel and im obsessed! Let's rock!
It's a good song, in my top five, but nothing beats Zato theme.
hope you can check potemkin theme ( armor-clad faith/Society) or Faust theme ( Alone infection/Colors) next... those together with milia theme are my favorite from this game
I do hope this OST review also covers Crawl. Easily the best track. Also would be keen on Overture review!
I don’t like crawl I like millia and zato theme the best but sol and ky too and ram
@@Legendary380 I WANT THE FREEDOM OF CAAAAAAAALLLMMMMMM
I-No should be next 🔥🔥
Without Resistance.
Love the Subhuman Self to me is quite Nightwish-esque during the Oceanborn era. It has the same kind of vibes - especially the solo bit. I could TOTALLY see Empu jamming that live - and i love it!
I've seen your videos sporadically, man. But after this analysis you earned my sub. Very nicely done and mad skills on the guitar!
I actually get strong KMFDM vibes from the verses; industrial with strong female vocal.
I'll echo a reviewing of Overture.
Please do Faust or Anji next they’re some of my favorites
That’s something I was also really surprised about too when I hear the guilty gear strive sound track. The only song that I have found to be tiring to hear again is Chipp’s theme. Then again it has been like 2 years since his song came out
Favorite song in the game
The best song
14:34 that reflects the play styles well.
really nice, Love your reviews, here's waiting for Crawl and Requiem :)
I think the rift in the beginning is a possible reference to Spider's Thread from Xrd.
Ohohoho I've been waiting for this one!
Love the Subhuman self is imho, the best track out of the album. Started hard, and went even harder. OOOOH LULLABY
Zato's theme: *edgelord grandpa gets alzheimer's*
Millia's theme: am I...evil...?
You gotta review some of the tracks from dbfz like ss4 Gogeta’s and UI Goku’s they have some of the most impressive guitars I’ve heard
YES! Blazblue next please
Chipps theme is my favorite.
Followed very closely by this one.
Music is just magic
PLEASE anybody know a modern heavy metal with harpsichord? can be slow etc? i am searching so hard for it...
Yousei Teikoku maybe?
I really want to see I-No. You have to do her justice for using a guitar lmao!
This song reminds me a bit of Ancient Bards
Best theme in the game
15:34-15:48
Priceless
Not to take away from the other songs from the soundtrack (Cause I can jam to all of them) but I am really looking forward to the song your rating tomorrow, Crawl is really gooooood. Well at least to me it is.
This guy is cool to me
Writhe in Pain still the best
Not a complex one but how about rock parade next?
BATTLE CRY!
@@nodot17 BAZINGA
I would love to see him look at the blazblue soundtrack
Who would thought that a really bad Gg songs preview would bring us here.
Are you saying Writhe in Pain is bad????
@@SolMrBadGuy nah, the 10 second preview of this song before the game came out
Lol thank god i didnt look at previews. Theres no point in listening to just a part of a song lol
Potemkins theme? I want to hear your opinion on SOCIETY
WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY
Are you doing these back to back? Idk you just sound way more warmed up in this one
This one and Zato's were done the same day. It wasn't exactly back to back but it was later in the day.
I thought May was your profile pic. Hehehe
We need a version of this song where the synths are replaced with either some orchestral instruments or a traditional Russian instrument.
Am I the only one getting from Dream Theater vibes from the riffs?
The moment I heard the keyboard parts I figured the player must be a huge Jordan Rudess fan
plz do cover
Here me out, here me out... I-no's theme next
Do you mind finishing the series with crawl?
I definitely feel like some parts of this song feel very much like a Russian spy movie.
Which is super accurate LOL
I need a reviewing of Faust, Anji, and Potemkin.
What guitar is that?
LTD SH-7 guitar.
i mean lets be honest sf themes just last 1 min and half really
Alright I'm curious. Before I watch this, does anyone else get Evanessence vibes from this one?
I got Amaranthe vibes personally, but I can see how you can get Evanescence out of it. There's definitely some Nightwish in here as well. I've seen a lot of comparisons to Dream Theater too, there's a lot going on with this one.
am i the only one hearing a lot of avenged sevenfold in this song?
Daisuke ishiwatari intentional metal reference
@@Aripuni1 yea totally, i think nearly all of the songs are heavily inspired by various metal bands which is really cool, just never heard anyone compare it to avenged sevenfold :)
Writhe in Pain is still better, X2 is still better
I really feel like the biggest thing that makes people think it sounds like RWBY is the vocals. The song itself kind of can see it, but it's really vocals.
