I desperately needed this, so thank you! My friend and I are doing this fun gimmick challenge where we completely switch mains for a while, so I have to learn Sin practically from scratch. Really it was the neutral and pickups I didn't quite understand with the character, but this video was super informational and made a lot of things click 🙌
After the patch I left Axl after years of playing him, and there was sooo many johnnys now so I dipped on him too but Sin was my fist DLC purchase and for some reason I never played him but since the patch I picked him up and he’s so strong against so much of the cast and he’s so fun literally feels like he’s on a constant upward trajectory ! Definitely sticking with him Ps, west coast I’m the Violet Fire Sin
Happy new year. Do you consider pressure resetting with close slash or strike throw to be more useful in opening up the opponent to fish for counter hits? I have trouble conditioning
The best way to condition as Sin is to do long block strings. Make people hold c.S > f.S > 5H a lot. They will know to block at that point and that's when you start using the overhead and low to mix them up. Once you make them look for that, you start not doing the next steps and just grab. Then you can also use gazelle step raw to grab them
@DomiWurld Oh yeah. And while it is a bit difficult, I found that there is another way you can use 1 stamina bar for a wallbreak as long as you have a tension bar. Midscreen f.S>beak>followup>8FRRC>jc>j.K>2K>6H>hawk. Maybe you already know this one, but just putting it out there that you can still wallbreak off a 1 stamina beak even without CH.
Any use for reflect shield with him? I refuse to learn it cuz it seems like a full burst is the better option Edit Also when do you cash out? Is it for the kill or maybe at round start and maybe play patient and give some health up to get your stamina back? Seems like the idea is to hold onto stamina but stamina is what makes him go unga bunga
The reflect shield use is the same as any character, you use it to either shut down certain messed up situations on block, or at least make them less threatening like on garuda or elphelt rekka
I cash out usually for the first combo. Super aggressive and then stall and switch so a super passive playstyle. When you get a hit you have to ask urself so u really wanna spend everything of this starter. Was the hit too weird that it could drop and u still wanna commit to spending everything? If I use this 100 meter super will it even kill?
When you get an Elk Hunt CH and you go into CS - dc - CS - 2S - 2H - Beak, why not end with Elk? usually you would want to route into 2H - Elk in bnb combos right?
Gameplay question though. Ive seen you do CS>2H>Overhead into FRC 6K. I'm guessing to supplement stamina and easy the meter useage. Are there any other stamina and meter friendly routes like that?
It’s not the route it’s more just getting a hit and using ur tension before stamina. Most people can’t block the overheard so treat it like 5D RC. It dossnt have to be off the overhead but it’s what most people get hit by
@DomiWurld I get what you mean, I'll get jiggy with it. I just found it neat how 6K on hit launched for a combo after the FRC mix and leaves you plus if blocked for pressure or even more mix.
@@ggmasterguiltygear6315 Again with Charged WA its prob possible but it wont take you wall to wall exactly. He has RTL that takes the oppenent very far so sadly u will most likley ALWAYS using tension or stamina
@@M0HAK0 the neutral is just really hard but it’s prob like slight johnny favor. To be fair no character is really beating Johnny like that but sin can definitely fight him
