Instead of drilling into the steel and then screw through the steel into the wood, just screw the wood together and sandwich the steel between it. It will save you a lot of time. If you put at least two layers of wood in, making it a bigger surface, you can then drill some holes in the wood and put expanding through the holes. It will get less messy.
That's not a bad idea actually! It would work on the roof but on the vertical surfaces I think it may be a lot harder 😔. Definately a good Idea though!
@@PacmanBasshead If you do three layers (or more) it will still work. One layer on the back of the cage, then one layer inside the frame that holds it in place. Add glue between the first layer and the frame just before you screw in the third layer. Done.
