There was a 2nd screen protector and mileage was from testing before shipping.

I used my Gotrax scooter to ride 3 miles to work. Daily. and I even made a video "Just 20 minutes of Josh riding around talking on his new scooter." riding it home from work. The range was awful and it didn't do hills at all, and where I live now, there aren't bike lanes. The route speed limit is 25/30 mph the whole way to work, and this would easily do that for almost 4 miles.
Currently waiting on Apollo support to answer whether the mileage and scratches are normal. Since they may ride these to test them for quality control, before shipping them out.

Update: The unit had two screen protectors. Only one was peeled off in this video. It's nearly impossible to see the 2nd protector, as it looks like it's part of the screen. Think of the Galaxy Fold series!! People were peeling that off and found out, it was part of the screen and supposed to be there. They also confirmed the mileage is from testing.

Apollo tells you they double check and test ride each scooter before shipping.....what kind of range are you getting so far?
High 30s. But I go like 35mph mostly.

What was the charge on it when you powered it up? It comes charged more than 50%?
They charge the battery to at least 40%

Sweet, I hope those scratches buff out or they can at least replace the screen and send out a new one if it's removable.

Buy a scooter shoulder strap if you plan on carrying up/downstairs
I would send that back.. That screen looks like it was used/returned. That screen should NOT be scratched.. It certainly not a $50 bike..

I made the mistake of buying the V1 phantom and it was a death trap.
Ended up taking it to the dump.
I'll never buy their products again.
Remove the factory film off the display and all of your scratches will go away!
it's not something I can remove. I've tried. I already removed the protective film in this video.
Yes there is another film. It happened to me on my Apollo Explore scooter. I thought it was all scratched up for a few days. Then under that was clear glass

I'm really sorry that you got caught in this predatory sale. That's almost a full bike, insane! I don't think it's lite enough to be carried up and down stairs or inside an office. I hope all the scratches on the display and the refurbed nature of it (by the looks at least) are enough for a full refund. Have a nice day!
They have been working with me and sent me a new screen. I rode it 20 miles yesterday and freaking loved it. Definitely not excited to essentially have a mini car payment every month. But with a 3.8 mile commute to work, so pretty much 8 miles a day, five days a week… it’s gonna save on gas, plus less miles that I put on my new car. Just gotta invest in protection. So if I fall, it’s just a bruise instead of a hospital visit.
That's the least they could've done really. For the price it had better be amazing! About protections make sure to get something to save your wrists! As much as all the joints are important wrists are overlooked most of the time and can end up being a huge issue when falling since the hands are what we instinctively use to save ourselves. Good call on that. Enjoy your new ride!
