I thought it was freezing up . Sometimes even though I have a high speed connection with AT&T it'll give me an issue with casting to my TV earlier. Earlier I was watching a series and it froze on the bmvidei only . The audio was still going. Didn't help I was watching Alfred Hitchcock presents. I guess I'm good since it wasn't Rod Serlings Twilight Zone. Maybe it's the month .

If you have active pickups, you really should only use lithium 9V batteries in it. They will never leak and destroy your guitar.

I am usually only an SG guy and not a huge fan of Les Paul but this is a Les Paul I would love to own. If they made an SG like this I would be in heaven.

That does not look like black mother of pearl (fretboard inlays), I've seen some in real life, and it still has colours and colour shifting/good 3d effect movement to it.
I'd say this is just some grey-ish pearloid/plastic swirl.
Don't know why but the finish color and binding color give me a plastic/carbon fiber vibe. Like the guitar looks like it weighs 3lbs.
Your thinking of that mini outfit you wear at weekends.

Especially that smokey blackened mother of pearl, and black binding on a hot Ferrari red guitar and headstock

I've only been following Trog for about a year. I don't mind these old reuploads because it's easier for me than going back into each channel and watching old stuff.
If I happen to see a reupload I already saw, I just click off.
I'm not a fan of the electronics and I've never played the fake fretboard, but honestly ? Sounds pretty awesome.
I have a silver burst bfg and the fretboard isn’t noticeable compared to a rosewood or ebony.
I've got a richlght finger board on my 2018 classic , and I like it. It's also gone up in value.

I would've been looking hard at that guitar had id seen it while shopping for a new one. Cant believe ot took so long to sell. I bought a Trad Pro III in 2019 that had stayed on display almost three years . Gold top split coils burst buckers and 60s indian laurel neck. Once I cleaned up and did a set up it turned out being a good player. I left the film over the pickups but i changed strings and cleaned the frets. Just so you know orange peel finish isn't from buffing. It can be caused by bad atomization of the paint . Paint applied to thick . Incorrect spray gun settings. Bad angle by not being perpendicular to the surface . And one that is usually the cause which is poor surface preparation before painting. What ever you had it set at opening the play portion it sounded a little thin. But brightened up and gave the bite I'd expect from a bridge pickup.
I know it is stupid to even have an issue with but everytime he throws that little hammer on in the Orion riff it just irks me and I don’t know why. I know it’s dumb and he can play it however he wants.

I wanted one of these SO BADLY in 2018 & still do. But not with active pickups. Nothing kills innovation like "purists", so gimme an orange or red blackout & keep it away from the hipster-wear bump & scratch artists. Gibson should try to get rid of or at least decrease that neck angle, try a better bridge, and maybe even try a MusicMan headstock approach so the strings can pass over the nut without any angle. Instead of the billion different variations of the old design, maybe they can experiment a bit more by adopting some design cues from the industry's best hardware.
