now 75 years and still mechanicing on my own cars .. 1980 Donnington one litre GT champion in my self built Car. won 9 out of ten races one retirement with a blown off oil cooler connection .
This kind of engineering skill both academically and practically takes teams of people and you some how smashed it all by yourself... completely mesmerised watching this summary and all your other vids! You sir are a legend!
@You Wish There's a whole movement now towards self taught learning, things like the open source computer science degree. Then we have such amazing design software; resources are just incredible now.
I just can't wrap my head around how much planning and engineering must've gone into this build. And the craftmanship looks amazing. Definetly looking forward to 2020!!!
I'm Japanese! I watched it all! Oh my gosh! OH MY GOSH! What a...! There is a genius. Yes! It's YOU! I like yooooooou! I love motorsports! The fans need you! Good luck 2020!
Wow this build is epic! As a mechanical engineer, I can appreciate the calculations and techniques you’ve used throughout the process. I’m beyond impressed with the concept to reality of this beast. Awesome job and looking forward to updates in 2020!
Started watching you're videos beginning of 2019, each new episode I just couldn't beleive, how can one person be able to do absolutley everything!? This channel deserves way more subs!
A huge congratulations on the build! It is seriously the most impressive car build I have ever seen. Your commitment, engineering and fabrication prowess and attention to detail is just amazing. The time spent to get everything right while filming it all and then editing is just crazy!
Seeing someone pull off a project like this with just basic tools is very impressive. Imagine what this dude could do with proper tools and a machine shop. #Respect.
Dude, you are a beast of just making shit. I only found your stuff recently when I stumbled on you starting your carbon stuff. I had no idea what you had done alone in your garage there. My hat is off to you. Thanks for sharing all this with us.
Literally the ONLY thing that could have been done better on this build was some of the fabrication. Even then, you never compromised on engineering, safety, or performance. Bloody impressive. Also: the music choices for this video are absolutely hilarious. And somehow perfectly on point.
Congratulations man... You are the only UA-camr which worth to watch at technical parts.. You explain with facts and low cost handmade build the and not ready parts with a lot of money. ... Looking forward for your other videos... Keep going.. 👌👍💪
amazing video, every high school kid interested in cars should watch this to realize the importance of how math, science and mechanical engineering classes apply to the making of this car and potentially lead to real life career opportunities.
You sir, are a genius. Easily one of the best engineers I have seen anywhere. PERIOD. I cant fathom why you arent on race team as lead engineer. You could take your pick in what series. Cup, Indy, F1, Endurance etc. Any team would pay top dollar for you. Please think about that. Just imagine the things you could create with a bigger budget and better tools and machinery. WOW
That is a LOT of build for such modest available tools! I am VERY thankful for my CNC machine and AC/DC TIG welder - not sure I would be brave enough to do a project like this with DC MIG spool gun doing aluminum and a plasma cutter for everything else. Super brave dude. Made the most of it!
What a year really. It's been amazing to witness the series. Everything you've done on the car requires really good understanding of how things actually work + also your fabrication skills are outstanding too. Doing all that at home garage is almost unbelievable. But then again, you have showed to all of us that a project like that is actually doable and I think there is so much to learn from these videos. Definitely my favourite youtube channel of all time and have another great one in 2020!
Well , this makes me feel like i am watching Tony Stark seriously , this project is beyond amazing and impressive and shows huge dedication put on it , keep up with this awesome work and looking forward for 2020 !!!!
This is at the top of the videos I watch as I continue to learn, gain confidence, and get fearless in designing and building various things at my own level. Thanks.
love your project. I built my own race cars for 10 years and they were all super competitive . 1980 Donnington GT championship winner . 1 litre class. I used ground effects venturies and a low mounted rear wing 1- 1/4 " clearance from the track. The rear wing was super effective and a test day with a high mounted wing lost me 600rpm on the straights. with super rear end grip but slower lap times . in one gt race I lapped the whole field down to the second place car which was the only other car to complete the 12 laps race. .
Well done, Really enjoyed all your videos watching you bring your passions to reality & I’m sure you’ve inspired many to have a crack/give it a go. You’d make a great teacher. Cheers mate.
Love the intro and the music! Great summary of all the ups and downs and challenges you've overcome throughout the year! What a great year for you with the E55 ASL, Shehryar! Looking forward to more greatness for you in 2020!
Great Build... you really finish your projects! Great to see.. not just leading viewers on with projects that are never finished.. definitely got a subscriber.. great 👍 work..
You are young and super talented! I admiring you so much Sir. Wish you good luck in your exciting journey. Thank you for showing all your hardwork into youtube.
thats awesome man! glad to see the progress of this build and also I appreciate you letting me drive your car! what an awesome experience! let me know when you come back to California!
been there and done it I was 1980 Donnington GT championship winner in my ground effects 1 litre Hillman imp look alike . in 12 laps around Donnington . I would lap almost the whole field . Well done You have certainly earnt a medal .
You are making an awsome project, I'm from Spain, here we're not used to see this kind of projects!! Sorry about my faulty english 🤣🤣 C'mon!! You are doing it super good 💪💪
One man builds himself a race car in his own garage, with commonly available tools, time, patience, precision, money, and peaceful alone time. Looks like a formula 1 body style car. And it runs and works, looks great too.
At 16:04 and 16:24 front left brake rotor is mounted on right side (wrong side). At 16:58 also left rotor is mounted on left side (correct side). You have 2 left rotors, the one on the right side will have worse cooling.
t's a master's job !!! I look at it with pleasure from France! Now we have to think about building a body for the car, a carbon body would be ideal ... C'est un travail de maitre !!! Je regarde ça avec plaisir depuis la france! Maintenant il va falloir songer a construire une carrosserie pour la voiture.Une carrosserie carbone serait l'ideal...
Great job building your own race car. In addition to getting a tail wing for down-force, you need to put weights on the back end of your car, to balance out the engine weight in front. This will help you in tight cornering.
I cannot believe you built a functional race car by yourself, with hand tools, literally on the floor.
60s and 70s formula 1 race cars were built the same way...
Things were a lot more simpler back then as well...
From Ground Up.

beyond functional, it's performance

The best car build diary on the tube. Your detailed commentary is what makes me watch every second.
Freehanding the adapter plate is by far my favourite part.

I forgot just how limited you are tools wise which makes this car all that more impressive. Great job
