Different vehicles for a different audience. I’m an M340i owner. I need a large boot and at 70+ years of age value my comfort on longer trips where I want to hear the Harmon Kardon not the exhaust note
I'm in my 50s and I feel the same way. I had plenty of sports cars from the 70s and up. I chose the M340i for its refinement and dual personality. It goes from Dr. Jeykl to Mr Hyde with a push of a button.

The new M2 has the same engine as the G8x M3/4
I'm having a hard time choosing between a 2021 m340i and a 2020 M2.
I love them both.
Had a similar decision to make, it was between the m340 or the g80 m3 I went with the m340, more comfortable, less stiff chassis( obviously) and still a quick car with a great sounding engine
I’m having the same exact dilemma, but I feel maybe the m340i will be more reliable? I get the m2 will be less comfy but idc about that. It’s about how reliable it’ll be for me
I Love the blue Color on the M340i but sometimes you need to give up lux to get that real driver experience.

'BMW M head to head'? M340i is not a M nor does it have a S series engine in it. B58 is a serious motor, no doubt, but its no S58!
