Cheating is a hard no for me, doesn't matter the reason/excuse why or the insane chemistry- if cheating happens there's no going back from that in my eyes.
Thank you so much for the cheating trigger warning! I really tried to read a groveling harlequin romance about a husband who cheated on his wife. The whole book was him groveling and ddoing everything to earn forgiveness. When it was ending and she gave in and forgave him, I was still thinking, "but he cheated on you with his secretary!". I just can't do it. Cheating is always a deal breaker.
Same!! I can never forgive a cheating hero like if he's cheated on his gf even though he claims to be in love with her then what's the guarantee that he'll not do it again🙄
@@rajashreeborah3130 Agreed! It's for me the ultimate act of betrayal and heartbreak. Even if it's a plot point in a second chance romance, I still get to the end of the book screaming in my head, "but you still CHEATED!!"
@Nandini Mouya I can't remember the name, I read it so long ago! There is another one I read with a husband coming home feeling guilty about cheating on his wife. It is called "The Ultimate Betrayal", by Michelle Reid. It is a second chance groveling 'romance'.
I feel you !!! It's a big NO for me. If I find it in some book, I drop right there. I don't know, I try reading further but I just can't !!!! I sometimes feel guilty that I'm leaving the book but I just can't move on from there !!!! NEVER !!!!
the maddest obsession literally became one of my favorite reads... it had me MELTING ! christian was so swoonworthy and gianna is one of the best heroines i've ever read
'Forget me not' by Ellie Terry is also a novel worth reading. Actually, it's about accepting ourselves as how we are. I know this topic is completely different from what you are recommending but I searched for the first book on your recs on Amazon and Amazon recommended me this which is literally awesome.
OMGosh I just started Forget Me Not & I find myself re-reading & wanting to highlight every few pages. 🥰🥰 I was nervous Bc cheating is a MAJOR NO for me, but OMGosh he’s so in love. I’m nervous to see what happened 😣
The friend zone by Abby Jimenez is also stunning book with an utterly smitten hero. The heroine has fertility issues and he's just so patient and the way he takes care of her and helps her out with the awful cramps she gets and everything was 😍😍. Perfection that book was.
I love how all 3 are connected I read life's too short first and so it was out of order I didnt know their was 3 books then i read her new book and it was just as good
I really loved forget me not. I loved the memory loss, the marriage in trouble, and a little cheating. I’ve read many of them. Can you give me some older recommendations? Love your videos!
I can’t wait for your reaction to dreaming of you It’s one of my favorites from Lisa Kleypas. I know everyone loves Derek which I do of course but my girl Sara is my favorite 🖤 now I feel like I hyped it up a lot lol I hope you enjoy it.
I appreciate the cheating warning so much but I love QB Tyler so I'm adding this one on my tbr 😍 Also, I think you'll like Dante Maroni from The Emperor. He's exactly as you said 'I LOVE YOU AND THAT'S THAT'.
Ohhhhhh I just picked up The Happy Ever After Playlist from the library, I'm really looking forward to it now 🥰 Also, I didn't really get along with fated mates until Ice Planet Barbarians 😍 Consider me converted.
Ruby Dixon's new book Bad Guy definitely fits into this trope! I'm not usually into the whole alien/sci-fi romance genre but it was really really good!
I read Ice Planet on you recommendation. And I cannot stop reading them. I'm not even into this genre (fantasy or sci fi) or into series in general but OMG.
Read Love In Blind but thats a novel in an app called LikeRead, and dont worry its not about the guy cheating on his wife or anything but it does contain some mental ab*se and the novel indeed got a happy ending but the whole thing is still pretty much depressing till the very end but the read is very worth it Just a lil bit of the plot but its about a girl who was super into this one guy but the guy didnt like her at all and then stuff happened and so one day the guy suddenly fell in love with her but it was too late (because the guy has been ab*sing her pretty much and he's the reason that her life changed upside down, you could say that a lot of damage has been done at this point) so he got pretty obsessive and he used the wrong way to keep her with him so yeah. The whole novel is really heartbreaking and depressing till the very end that i cried A LOT. But imma say it again, the ml is VERY loyal so he doesnt keeps other girl with him or anything but you will still find your blood boils everytime you read it
I love this trope! I just read Tempt me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas and oh my gosh Harry was SO smitten from the moment he talked to Poppy and I loved every second of it.
@@jahanvisharma1016 Yes and no. It's a series that follows a family but you can read just this one and you would be perfectly fine. This was definitely my favorite in the series.
Oh My Goodness, "Then Came You" absolutely LOVED this book - broke my heart, teared up in several parts. I read it straight through. It was so interesting to see how Derek behaved in this book, literally pushing Lily into Alex's arms. I read "Dreaming of You" first, out of order. Now I'm going to go back and re-read "Dreaming of You," and am so excited. *Devil's Bride by Stephanie Laurens* is another great one of this trope - one of my favorites! Awesome video, Jessica!
Ugh that first one sounds interesting but the cheating is such a hard no for me... Has anybody read it? Is the infidelity situation unforgivable or kind of in the grey area? I don’t mind spoilers I just wanna know if imma be able to deal 😂😭😭
If anyone has read the Ice Plant Barbarians series and wants more of the same I recommend Evangeline Anderson. there's more variety in the alien front but it's pretty much the same but different. Super good guilty pleasure reading and they're generally quick stories too.
I just finished reading Karina Halle's "The Forbidden Man" and Oh...my...goodness it was good. Alejo was just the ultimate book boyfriend. And the passion!!!! Amazing. Now I need to read everything else from Karina Halle

Obsessive possessive is my favorite trope, if you could call it that, to read! What a great list.
Cheating is a hard no for me but Forget Me Not sounds good .. I’m conflicted
I don’t mind cheating in a book as long as the hero is at fault and he grovels, which I think this book did well!
@@PeaceLoveBooksxo Forget me not sounds like a lot of groveling will be happening and im up for it!
This is my favorite trope. Adding some of these to my TBR. Hope you make a part 2 later in the year.

I think the amnesia trope really helps with the cheating plot! He’s SO broken up that he would ever have done that.
Ice Planet Barbarians is the best! At first I thought it would be silly and cheesy but I freaking LOVE it
