The Brave Locomotive deserves its own film because the animation is so sublime. It has everything it takes to be a masterpiece. Well done. Thank you for all the likes 👍🏻.

@@ching-jungyang62 omg that's actually a pretty good point. At first i was grudging about why the money man that actually brings economy easing the life of the lower class and maintaining their jobs without an unhealthy relationship with "unanimated objects" was portrayed as the bad guy because "big gray with cigarette" but the tea scene is an actual decision made from the storyboard. im too used to black-white portrayals on classic animations it seems.
I love how Samson isn't actually evil or anything. He's just intimidating. And he still just tries to transport the passengers as quickly as possible and gets scared for his life when the bridge breaks. Lovely piece of animation!
I know right. While yes he is like a foil or rival to Linus, he isn't a villain. Just cause a character is a rival or foil doesn't make them automatically mean they are a villain or bad guy unless they do something that says otherwise. But like you said he doesn't do anything that would make him a bad guy or villain, as just because a character is intimidating doesn't mean they're a villain or bad guy.
I haven't seen quality animation like this since I was a kid! This combines the 1940's classic cartoon style with 1990s animated cinematography effects, and I am thoroughly astonished!
I for one am glad that 2D animation still alive. It's the true magic of creation and life, in my opinion. If only we had more of it today, instead of all the 3D and live action we get now.
If you told me this was an unreleased Disney short from back in the day, I would've beleieved you. This is industry professional, and you and your team should be proud of what you've made. My only complaint is that I wish there was more of this. This is amazing, and you guys deserve more than a pat on the back.
Back in the days ? It's as good if not better than most of the official movies we got nowadays, the work here is astonishing we need this to survive in our culture
Moral: What is outdated or old, is a treasure of our hearts and memories. But sometimes a miracle can happen at the least expected moment, when it comes to old things suddenly returning or being repaired.
💯 I have a 1974 Plymouth Duster out back along the tree row that's been parked there since 1993. I guarantee that I could spend 2 hours max, then start it up and drive it across Texas and back. Then use it for a daily driver afterwards.
I was going to say considering the moment I saw this title it reminded me a lot of the 1990s animated version of that story, to which I ended up reading the illustrated book first before I saw the animated special later on in life....Seeing this re-interpreted is such an amazing way to combine old fashion drawing techniques with updated technology, a fusion of sorts.
as a few other little engines would say "if you think you can, then you know you Could", "Never Overlook a Little Engine" and my all time Fav "Little engines can do Big Things"
So classic, yet so new. So charming, yet so dark. So kiddy, yet so mature. Over 8 years since the work-in-progress video. And it was worth the 8 year wait. This, alone, is one of the greatest animated shorts I have ever seen.
I love how the animation style is a more modern version of those old 1920s cartoons, this was an absolute gem to watch! Congratulations to everyone who worked on this animation!
OH they totally could, if the directors were left to their own devices. 2d is much cheaper than 3d, so it's not like they couldn't take more risks with it...
@@TheRecklessBravery No, common misconception. Many think because even high end 3d has so many "automated" parts it's cheaper or easier, but it takes just as much work to and time to make 3d animation look good as 2d, even if the specifically challenging areas are different. THEN you have to add how much more rendering power it takes, and you need rigging artist and modelers and FX simulators in far greater number then with 2d. Now, BAD or cheap 3d animation can be inexpensive of course if you use stock and reuse to pay less people... BUT the 2d equivalent of that would be cheap Flash or other 3d puppet style animation, which would still be cheaper. The last 2d high end Disney fiilm, Princess and the Frog, cost half as much as their last 3d one to make. It's just b/c 3d was getting people into theatres that they stopped doing 2d
I have to say I like the fact that neither Samson or the Baron are shown as out and out malicious or nefarious. the animation is breathtaking, the style is exquisite, and the songs are catchy - what a wonderful result to such a passionate project.
I remember seeing the intro half done years ago and now it’s done! This is a masterpiece. The vocal performance, the writing, the animation. They’re all stupendous. I couldn’t be more impressed with this. Well done everyone.
Wow really? I know Animation takes a long time to produce but this is my first time hearing about this Animated short. And it looks amazing! It gives me vibes to those old Disney shorts. Especially about the one about that tugboat (I hope you know what I'm talking about lol)
so, I did the math regarding power on our little locomotive, Linus is a early wild west American steam locomotive probably weighting around 14 tons, the average weight of a passenger car is 20 to 40 tons, but lets cut it in half as the cart showned in video are quite short, so 10 tons per cart, there are 2 carts + that little thing in the back which I dont what is so lets assume its weight on also being 10 tons, together the whole weight of all of htese thing is 44 tons, in 0:44 we can see that Linus climbs a 90* road which will be perfect to do our calculations, but first we need its speed, for that we can use Linus lenths which we calculate from counting how many planks (the ones under the rails) he is long, after counting we should get 10 planks long, the average width of the plank used in railroads back in Wild West was 25 cm, so, our linus is 2,5 meters long (which means that people are quite tiny) so in 0:45 after he acquired the boost he traveled 14 meters in around half a second which gives as a total speed of 28 m/s which is 100.8km/h (damn quite fast) but lets round it up to 100 km/h, so now we got all we need to calcutate the power of Linus during his coal boost, lets use F= m x g x v , F= 44000 kg x 9,82 m/s2 x 100km/h after multiplying it gives as a huge number of 43208000 W, (43.208 MW if anyone wondering) (57 942 horsepowers )
Everything about this is phenomenal. From the animation, to the story, to the music. Everyone involved in this project absolutely hit it out of the park.
There are so many small details I love. from the couple that was there when Linus died and they are riding in his cabin reading a pamphlet on old style trains
I was showing my 4 year old how train wheels worked and was scrolling through some videos and he pointed this out. If he didn't, I would have never come across this video, he also enjoyed it, I think he'll be asking to watch it again in the future
To their credit, they did roll out a nicely animated short, but I have to agree that this is one of the greatest animated shorts I've ever seen, and, as of the moment I'm writing this, I'm not even finished watching it yet!
@@sericsmith5770 Nah. Disney's short was pretty poorly animated, with a message/story that came across as artificial. There were only a few characters and scenes that were well animated, but it was mostly thanks to animation vets like Eric Goldberg and James Baxter. Since Disney got rid of their 2D animation department years ago, they had to outsource to other studios who are clearly less experienced. But this short however, was very well made. Disney should take notes.
@nonyabusiness3619 are we really making fun of disney? I know this film is like a disney short, but good lord stop comparing disney to a independent studio.
Samson being depicted as just intimadating and not an antagonist is such a cool plot twist tbh also Henry is still going strong after 80-90 years absolute respect to the man
It seems like every time I turn around, there's a new piece of incredible indie animation to blow me away. Truly we're in a golden era. My hats off to the entire team behind this.
Glad that Samson and the baron aren’t made out as evil and don’t get killed or something. Samson’s just intimidating and doing his job and the baron is trying to run things efficiently and achieve progress.
@@AustralianCapitalist well, the "bad" is that the baron rushed Samson out into service over the bridge, likely pushing for Samson to run across the bridge at a frequency or speed it wasn't engineered for.
I really like how there is no real villain to this story, Samson was just doing his job and didn’t do anything wrong and the Baron was just a man of progress, if you read the newspaper, the baron even redirected funds from his own business to the rebuilding of Linus! Bravo!
You identified a redeemed villain, but he was still a villain nonetheless. That dark part of the story with the Baron/Samson was crucial for creating tension and unease.
Huge props for what you've put together. I can't imagine how much work it would've taken, and how many hours upon hours upon hours, but they paid off beautifully. This turned out simply fantastic, and you should be extremely proud.
I can't believe it, I remember back when I first saw the "wild west" animation and not it's go from dark and gritty adult cartoon into actual nice looking masterpiece like this one.
I legitimately cried watching this. It's absolutely gorgeous. The animation is so good, like something straight out of the golden Era. The expressions, the little mannerisms, the emotions... how I've missed seeing true animation like this. The character designs, absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I can't get over how appealing each frame of this film is. The color choices, the design choices... all of it wonderful. And then the story. Man, what a winner. This was my favorite story as a kid and I was expecting the race and I 1000% love this so, so, so much more. Well done, well done. This is the kind of achievement every artist dreams of making, and you realized it so beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing.
I really like how expressive the characters are. Even with barely any actual speech from the characters, you can still very much tell what’s going on. Very cool!
It is absolutely mindblowing that you tackled the feel of the 1940-1950s! A pure work of art. And that's speaking so much from a train enthusiast like me! Great job, Andrew!
Now *THIS* is a gorgeous love letter to the old time cartoons we 'veterans' grew up with. Such a wonderful animation. The songs & music were great, too.
As someone really, REALLY into trains/railroading, specifically steam locomotives, I already really liked this: drawing from Golden Age of Animation is something that's basically impossible to get wrong. THat ending actually made me tear up a bit. The idea that the Engineer and his wife are still running the train but now for fun, like an excursion railroad, is just such a happy and wholesome ending.
Since the ending scene probably takes place somewhere between 1946 and 1953 since that's the time between the C&O L1 #490's Streamlining & withdrawal (its the engine in the background) I'd wager that Linus is definitely in a similar boat to the real life locomotive Sierra #3, as by that time frame it was so old (built in 1891) that it had already been preserved & was being used for movies; Even more so for Linus since according to the 2nd newspaper he'd have been built roughly around 1860. also id wager he's a baldwin built design, as he seems to most closely resemble V&T #21, a 1875 built Baldwin 2-4-0.
I think one of the more interesting aspects of this is that Samson really is an objectively better engine. He only "fails" because the bridge he was crossing wasn't really meant to carry engines of his size, and at the end of the film you can see a more modern train passing by carrying an enormous amount of passengers, meaning that the baron was right when he called Samson "the future" of the train industry. Even still, Linus and Henry are still around doing their thing, even if they did get replaced in terms of utility they don't disappear completely and people still enjoy their service. I think it's a good message that change doesn't necessarily mean the destruction of the old; old things will still be around, even if it's only for our enjoyment.
It's a shame that this can only be done in cartoons. And cars that have served their useful life rust on the street or for a long time in a scrap metal dump.
Objectively, Samson was a guy who was really, really good at his job. And so good, that he did things so fast (according to the newspaper.) that the bridge was rushed because y'know, Samson brought things to-and-fro so fast. So it IS acknowledge Samson is the better engine in this video.
I remember taking an enjoyable ride on an old train that used to transport coal from the mines through the forest, it's very relaxing and the scene was beautiful.
@@BiIlyBones Not exactly. Railroad museums do exist and they sometimes operate old steam and diesel locomotives for the enjoyment and education of the wider population

This has turned out to be one of the most visually impressive and overall fantastic productions out there, for me personally. Everything about this short screams “Golden Age Disney” in the best possible ways. Kudos to everybody involved in this masterpiece! 👌
Two particular parts of Golden Age Disney, in fact: The whole "Casey Jr." sequence from the original Dumbo: ua-cam.com/video/OBTLH1rud5k/v-deo.html And "The Brave Engineer" short: ua-cam.com/video/UbTBk4pDIHA/v-deo.html Walt Disney may have been a racist son-of-a... well he had more than his fair share of faults, but the man loved his trains, and in that I can understand him.
I love how Baron and his daughter aren’t actually evil despite looking like they might be the antagonists. Baron’s a business man who sees Samson as the next big thing and thinks Linus’s best days are behind him, but if you read the newspaper at the end it tells how he managed to redirect funds from a memorial for Linus to restoring him And his daughter despite being named the railroad princess isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and helped Henry fill Linus to make him stronger. And she even helped repair him afterwards. It’s more interesting than them just being evil business tycoons like you often see in media
I interpreted it as the baron's daughter stepping in to help while the baron is too afraid, and the baron would have happily let Linus go to scrap, but had a change of heart because Linus saved his life. So I'd say they portray the baron as mostly antagonistic until he was rescued and the baron's daughter is portrayed in a more positive light because she stepped up when crisis happened.
@@bebibroly5 I mean in his song Baron doesn’t say he wants to scrap Linus, he just said he must “give way” then Linus is reassigned to the mountain If he wanted to scrap Linus nothing was stopping him. Not that Baron was right to send Linus off like a slave
This was nothing short of incredible, every single thing was done fantastically. The visuals, story, music, characters, emotion, action, etc. Bravo to you and everyone else who helped make this possible. Can’t believe this took 15 years, it was definitely worth the wait to make something this good
I love the detail in the second newspaper that Samson took on long-haul freight to help pay for the damages after the bridge collapsed. He feels like he was just big and intimidating, no bad intentions. I love this so much, worth second of those eight years!
@ThunderLord-fw4he 5:55 the headline under the words "who has friends" titled "samson reassigned to lumber haul" is the closest i could find. the rest of the wording is too small for me to read personally.
@@megasora4 I can read them in 1080p. I copied out the relevant part of the newspaper: *Samson Reassigned to Lumber Haul* "Some overhauling will be in order to ensure this kind of recklessness never happens again." Baron von Kapital assured the press. Samson, grateful for his rescue by the brave locomotive Linus, is said to be taking on long distance freight routes to compensate for the tremendous material loss of the bridge her played a role in disabling.
Extra interesting details: The newspaper at 3:49 mentions that a group of engineers was worried that the rail infrastructure would not stand up to the demands of the Super-Locomotive, and Baron von Kapital says that those critics are worried about nothing. After the bridge collapses, Baron von Kapital says that there was no intentional negligence on his part, and that the von Kapital name will be unstained by the critics saying the bridge collapse was his just deserts. Also, that newspaper at 3:49 also explains that Baron von Kapital systemically bought up engineering firms in order to create Samson, and another article in that newspaper is titled "Rockefeller sends regards".
This is one of the most beautiful animations I've ever seen. As a railfan, this warmed my heart and set me aglow, and I teared up a little bit. This animation short could easily have its plot line expanded to be a feature length animated film and it would be so amazing. Thank you to whoever put this together, what an absolute gem.
This showed up randomly in my recommended feed today and I'm so glad it did. This is astounding animation quality, charm, and timing. The designs are visually appealing with music that fits perfectly to convey a story and set the mood. It reminds me of why I hold such fondness for Disney's "Melody Time" film, especially for Toot the Tugboat. Well done, team. This is a film of pure talent and passion for the craft.
I love this animation. You can easily understand every character feels through their facial expressions and actions alone. Not to mention the attention to detail. I even admire how every character is portrayed. For example, Samson is reckless and somewhat cocky, but at the end of the day, he was only doing his job. Henry, clearly didn’t want to give up Linus, but was faced with the harsh reality that refusal would cost him his job, and surely leave him and his wife destitute. The closest thing to antagonists we have are the abusive lumber company and the Railroad Baron.
I just realized that I was wrong about the Baron. He was actually a reasonable authority figure who acknowledged his mistake and not only contributed to the construction of a better bridge, but also contributed to rebuilding Linus.
@@soratheorangejuicemascot5809 yeah progress can be good and bad it's all about the side effects rather than the improvement itself that determines this fact.
As someone who grew up both around the time of Disney's last few 2D-animated films and with the old Thomas the Tank Engine shorts, I love just about everything in this production. Your animation's so lively, the music fits perfectly with the "old west" sort of aesthetic to the characters, and it's clear how much sincerity and love went into every single frame... Heck, even the fact that the newspapers have actual printed text on them to expand the story of these characters shows how much work must have gone into this production. I know I'll be coming back to this short again and again!
I remember seeing the unfinished project a few years ago. Now that it’s done I can say this is really good, and definitely one of my favorite animated short films ever! Gives off strong classic Disney vibes.
Just a train doing his job. Not even the Baron is evil, he is just trying to uplift the town by giving a faster and more efficient service. His flaw was rushing the bridge in the name of progress for the town.
As a lifelong fan of trains and train media such as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, the Little Engine That Could, and the Polar Express and of classic Disney animation, I've been highly anticipating this short for ages and it did NOT disappoint! Wonderful work, Mr. Chesworth. You and your crew should be very proud of what you've accomplished here. Absolutely phenomenal work all around.
The fact that somebody wrote all those articles for the two papers when most people won't even notice them is astonishing. The level of attention to detail here is incredible. Mad respect to everyone who worked on this lovely animation!
This. THIS right here. I was just saying that we need more old Disney style things. This is right in line with it, and I loved every single second of this animation. It felt like there was love put into every frame. :)
This is one of the cleanest animations ive ever seen from an indie team. Incredible work everyone, youve made something that will live on for a long time
This was very cool! Really feels like a throwback to classic Disney shorts. Speaking of, Walt Disney himself absolutely loved trains so I have a feeling he would loved this short. Great work, man 👍
Linus is what you Call: responsible, respectful, will give up anything to save other and hard worker Samson Is what you call: Non boastfull, hard worker determined Absolutely amazing work I love the Animation as well.
Yeah, Samson doesn't even try to threaten, Linus. He glanced at him and left it that. Yeah, he's big, strong, intimidating as heck, but he's also a hard worker who minds his own business
I Love this film so much and i love the inspiration from his previous animation Wild West, from the Lady in Green to the caboose, and I love the film even more due to details like that!
I love the symbolicism of both 2D and 3D animation techniques being used in this short, considering the plot and the main themes revolving around industrial advancements. This is amazing in every aspect
I really have to appreciate the Baron because when you think about it he was a really great dad. He got his daughter involved in his business at a young age. He taught her to have a great work ethic since she wasn't afraid to roll up her sleeves even though she was called "the railroad princess" by the newspaper. Plus he was confident enough in her to name her heir to his railroad empire.
He's also a pretty good boss since yeah he was replacing the smaller engines with Samson, but he let the engineer keep his job rather than replace him too AND after the incident, he no doubt paid to have a stronger bridge built AND he even gave Linus a new job more worthy of him than being a coal mine train.
Man, they really don't do this anymore in the animation industry. You are fighting the good fight, pushing this medium forward. I will personally share this with the world.
they killed 2D animation in the US, cause 2d animators were unionized 3D weren't (and still aren't to this very day) when they said ''oh it's just more expensive to do 2D animation'' they weren't talking about technical cost, they just didn't want to pay the workers what they deserved just look at european and the asian makerts, 2D animation was never sabotaged there it only thrived whereas america's was left to shrivel and die

5:18 I also gotta say this part really got me. It’s crazy how fast and well the emotion can change. This is one of the greatest UA-cam animations ever and you don’t even have to watch a minute to realize it
This was great. I really felt the Engineer's pain--even when it doesn't literally have a soul, it's hard to let go of a trusty, reliable machine that's always pulled through for you.
This perfectly captures the feeling of a Golden Age theatrical short film! I love this so much!! And after finding out that it's been in development for so long, massive congratulations to everyone involved!!
This is genuinely astounding. I haven't realized how much i actually missed 2D animation until this (and this is coming from someone who grew up in the experimental era, with Atlantis the Lost Empire and Treasure Planet), and it just floored me with not only the quality of the animation itself, but the music and the singing along with it. It truly seems like we're entering the golden era of indie cartoons, animations and films! It's smooth, fluid and the last part nearly made me cry. This is a whopping one thousand out of ten and I'm so happy to have seen this.
The quality shown here is incredible. From all the newspaper articles being fully written out stories, some entirely unrelated yet still fully complete, to the sheer level of detail in each scene, with minor shifts in angle and so forth that could've easily been cut out to save on effort but were retained for the sake of quality, the amount of work put in here is insanely impressive. The story told is all it needs to be, the personalities of many of the characters - from the ones front and center to the side characters who cropped up repeatedly as it went on - are detailed and consistent, and the visuals in terms of color use and framing match the effort put into the animation itself. All this set and perfectly timed to a fitting musical score. I dunno what bad there would be to find in this work of art.
I love that the town is called Colonnaville; such a subtle but appropriate reference. For anyone unfamiliar, Disney's 1950 short film The Brave Engineer, which served as one of the inspirations for this wonderful film, was narrated/voiced by radio star and actor Jerry Colonna, who would also voice The March Hare in Disney's Alice in Wonderland the following year.
It's nice to know that Samsun was greatful for Linus saving his life. If you read in the news, Samson willingly gave up his job transporting people for long distance freight rides hauling lumber.
This has gotta be one of the most inspired animated short films I've ever seen, incredible props to the animation, music, creativity... everything! I'm just blown away by it all!
Absolutely astounding! What I would love to see if there’s more with these characters, is Samson, having been humbled by this event, becoming good good friends with Linus.

@@WillowHeartzI’m not trying to be rude, but I don’t think the pun was implied…
OH they totally could, if the directors were left to their own devices. 2d is much cheaper than 3d, so it's not like they couldn't take more risks with it...
@@elephantmarchisn’t that the other way around? 3d is cheaper than 2d
It's just b/c 3d was getting people into theatres that they stopped doing 2d

so, I did the math regarding power on our little locomotive,
Linus is a early wild west American steam locomotive probably weighting around 14 tons, the average weight of a passenger car is 20 to 40 tons, but lets cut it in half as the cart showned in video are quite short, so 10 tons per cart, there are 2 carts + that little thing in the back which I dont what is so lets assume its weight on also being 10 tons, together the whole weight of all of htese thing is 44 tons, in 0:44 we can see that Linus climbs a 90* road which will be perfect to do our calculations, but first we need its speed, for that we can use Linus lenths which we calculate from counting how many planks (the ones under the rails) he is long, after counting we should get 10 planks long, the average width of the plank used in railroads back in Wild West was 25 cm, so, our linus is 2,5 meters long (which means that people are quite tiny) so in 0:45 after he acquired the boost he traveled 14 meters in around half a second which gives as a total speed of 28 m/s which is 100.8km/h (damn quite fast) but lets round it up to 100 km/h, so now we got all we need to calcutate the power of Linus during his coal boost, lets use F= m x g x v , F= 44000 kg x 9,82 m/s2 x 100km/h after multiplying it gives as a huge number of 43208000 W, (43.208 MW if anyone wondering) (57 942 horsepowers )

It's become a lovely heritage line that's kept preserved
why the hell do I feel like it's a branchline
2:02 i love the way he was looking at them curiously, before turning to see a gigantic steam locomotive-
I think one of the more interesting aspects of this is that Samson really is an objectively better engine.

I love how Baron and his daughter aren’t actually evil despite looking like they might be the antagonists. Baron’s a business man who sees Samson as the next big thing and thinks Linus’s best days are behind him, but if you read the newspaper at the end it tells how he managed to redirect funds from a memorial for Linus to restoring him
And his daughter despite being named the railroad princess isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and helped Henry fill Linus to make him stronger.
@@bebibroly5 I mean in his song Baron doesn’t say he wants to scrap Linus, he just said he must “give way” then Linus is reassigned to the mountain

I love the symbolicism of both 2D and 3D animation techniques being used in this short, considering the plot and the main themes revolving around industrial advancements. This is amazing in every aspect
@@JackWilke Yo be quiet we didnt ask

Couldn't read it all by it looks like the last section of the newspaper might be making him out to be a good guy.

@@Jen-henwhat is bro yammering about
they killed 2D animation in the US, cause 2d animators were unionized
3D weren't (and still aren't to this very day)
when they said ''oh it's just more expensive to do 2D animation''
they weren't talking about technical cost, they just didn't want to pay the workers what they deserved
just look at european and the asian makerts, 2D animation was never sabotaged there it only thrived whereas america's was left to shrivel and die

This is an absolute masterpiece! It looks and feels like a classic Disney cartoon. It’s something which I think Walt Disney himself would be very proud of.
Except Walt's kinda an asshole.

That’s exactly what I thought! Specifically, I was thinking that it reminds me of the classic Disney cartoon about Little Toot the tugboat.
I ABSOLUTELY love this! The animation, the character designs, the songs, everything! This is ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! I love this!
I don’t see how ANYBODY could hate this absolutely incredible animation! You really don’t see anything even remotely like this today and this deserves all the appreciation and attention it gets! Absolutely stunning
5:18 I also gotta say this part really got me. It’s crazy how fast and well the emotion can change. This is one of the greatest UA-cam animations ever and you don’t even have to watch a minute to realize it

Legendary.
This is the year where indie animation keeps on giving and I'm all for it!
Hiiii!
agreed
I should've expect to see you in the comments
Indeed, animation this year is now great.
Woah woah woah! 5:52 I see the word “H.G Wells!” :0
This is absolute legend. I didn't think people could even come close to this level of decency in film-making anymore.
Pobre 🚞 trencito cuando exploto😢😢
Ya know what’s interesting go back a bit on this channel you will find Linus and get traumatized
decent all around XDDDDD
I love that the town is called Colonnaville; such a subtle but appropriate reference.
For anyone unfamiliar, Disney's 1950 short film The Brave Engineer, which served as one of the inspirations for this wonderful film, was narrated/voiced by radio star and actor Jerry Colonna, who would also voice The March Hare in Disney's Alice in Wonderland the following year.
Well that's a neat factoid. Thanks for sharing it. 👍
my animations are far superior than this "cartoon"
I REMEMBER THAT!!! I saw that as a kid on Boomerang channel nearly a decade and a half ago!
Thanks you of the fact🖐️
It's nice to know that Samsun was greatful for Linus saving his life. If you read in the news, Samson willingly gave up his job transporting people for long distance freight rides hauling lumber.
This has gotta be one of the most inspired animated short films I've ever seen, incredible props to the animation, music, creativity... everything! I'm just blown away by it all!
Absolutely astounding! What I would love to see if there’s more with these characters, is Samson, having been humbled by this event, becoming good good friends with Linus.
While I am not entirely certain if they are friends, the newspaper states that Samson was at the very least grateful toward Linus.
@@jacqueshardin4601 yea I saw. It would make Samson a very good and interesting character. He may be big, strong, and fast, but he knows from first hand experience, never underestimate the little engines.
Pretty sure that when the diesel and electric engines come about, Samson will remember those times with Linus...

This was a Jaw Dropping experience, the animation, the detail the sound, THANK YOU SO MUCH this entire animation was worth every previous second of the precious time we all have.
