Nice!!! Great comparison of the rounds, I’m about to do an order and remembered you did a video on this. I’ll def try out some Steinel. Only issue I’ve had with my dark is the loading gate coming loose.
Thank you for your informative content. I do appreciate the comparison of rounds. I had a 45-70 in a TC Contender. Lots of fun to shoot. I also appreciate the work you did on home defense you did earlier. I have wondered how each model and make of lever actions compare. I wish to buy one in the new year and wonder which one fits my needs best as well as pricing. Should I look to the Henry, Marlin, Rossi, or any other make. Which models are best. No I am not in historical shooting, but interested in modern upgrades that you so much build. Please consider a guide like that!
Saw your comment a couple weeks ago when I bought mine so I came back today to comment... mine just broke at my local range while shooting...might just go with ranger point rail
Also, what type of RDS are you running and I assume there's no need for the snap-on cheek riser in order to get a good cheek weld with that optic? That's been an important question for me...wondering if the factory height stock is high enough for a good cheek weld with an RDS mounted low on the pic rail.
That's an Aimpoint H-2. No need for the cheek riser with a low red dot like this. For a high red dot, or an LPVO, yes you will need the riser. I will be using it and an LPVO when I do the accuracy testing.
@@buildhuntxplore Thanks! Was looking at the two rail/sight replacement options that Midwest Industries offers...one is a short pic rail in front of rear sight and the other is a direct super low RDS mount (Micro footprint). Was thinking I'd need the buried RDS option for standard buttstock but apparently only if I wanted the irons to cowitness?
I’ve not had hands on the Mi mount. It looks like a good setup. Not sure on the cowitness option with it. But definitely don’t need a riser for a low RD.
Thank you so much! I actually planned to to the penetration as well down the road, if I can get enough gel together for it. Definitely not cheap doing these, haha. Really appreciate your support. If you want to help us grow, please share us around wherever you can. We would greatly appreciate it!
Did your #41 Tenon break like mine after 15 rounds of 325Gr Hornady. Then Marlin make you wait days to send the same junk China casting part. Bought RPP rail and SS Tenon.
I just pulled mine apart and looked it over. It looks perfectly fine. I don't see any fractures or flexing. I have heard multiple accounts of this now, but somehow mine isn't having any issues. If it does, I'll swap the tenon for an RPP, and I'll definitely do a video talking about it if it does. Thanks for the heads up!
And too the dude that said hes not willing to spend 3k. You def dont wanna look at mad pigs custom builds or even wren metal works in oregon with integral suppressed 45-70 or 6k
is that a Marlin handguard? i have an 1895 already and that handguard looks nicer than the rangerpoint and midwest industries handguards I've seen the past years. great video!
I agree, but I don’t have a chrono and pay for most things out of my pocket. Nobody pays for this channel to produce content. You want to buy me a chrono? I’m doing what I can with what I have. I have a wife and two kids to support, they take precedent over everything else. Don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but I keep getting comments like this telling me how I should do more, but rarely does anyone offer to help out with costs of anything.
Whoa!!!! A 730 grain 45-70?!?! 😳
Oh yeah!! You will love it!!!
Need more content on this gun!!
Lots more to come!!
Oh my. That's hot, literally. Lever action hang ups are frustrating. Gotta be a man to clear thise jams.
LOL no joke! That round was IN there, haha.
Thanks for always putting out greatly informative content. 👍
Welcome and thank you!

I love this channel. I just wish these rifles were easier to find because I am not willing to pay a scalper's price of $3K
Thank you!! Yeah I wish they were more readily available so the cost would be lower
Just picked one up from PSA for 2400 😩
@@oddmixture6983 comgratulatios!!!!
Just picked up mine for msrp 🙏🏽🤘🏾
They are $1500 right now.

Very good video. This is the kind of content we need in the guntuber community. Just subscribed.
I’m all for the lever action videos 🤩👌🏼
Thank you very much im getting ruger/marlin great gun
Are you going to do more testing? Accuracy testing?
Good videos. Subscribed.
Thanks for the helpful advice!
Rugers Marlin rifles look like they run great.
They do extremely well!
Great video. Thank you for this video and all the content that you put out. God bless! Be safe! 🤙🪖👮🙏🇺🇲
Welcome and thank you!!
Would love to see accuracy testing for different rounds this dark series prefers
What angle/hand stop fore grip are you running?
Can you run the handstop that far forward without the suppressor, or does the omni-muzzlebrake burn your hand?
I'm still trying to get my hands on the 1895 sbl.....
And now we have the dark??
I'm never gonna get caught up....
Well, mine broke. Handguard popped off. Front end where the two screws go to hold the handguard up completely broke off. Waiting on Marlins response.

Questions?this rifle coming on 357 magnum caliber?please educate me on this .
*Build Hunt Xplore* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. GOD Bless.
Welcome and thank you!
What’s your favorite ammunition?
The subs sounds kind of loud? Is that you perception as well?
A little, but I think it’s a combo of the microphone I had on and the short configuration of the Hybrid 46
33 rounds of ammo… Illuminati. lol damn I want this
🤣🤣🤣
The marking dark series, the coolest $2000 dollar $900 dollar gun
Your viewers wanna thank your shoulder for this test :). Also some of these loads looked underpowered or am I wrong?
Can anyone tell me what attachments he’s running?? Really love that finger grip he’s running.
It’s the JMAC HRD 👍 I run it on several rifles and love it.
@@buildhuntxplore thank you! Yea I need it. Looks like it’s very functional and minimalistic.
Awesome vid as usual--can we see a penetration test with these rounds? Clearly the most underrated channel!!

What optic are you using?
What is that two bullet holder on stock? I want one!!
HopticUSA 👍
What is the best round for elk?
Which optic is on there?
Aimpoint Micro H-2 👍
What is that finger hook on the rail?

Can you please show impact of some different ammo on some animals
Is that a Hoptic 2-round quiver in the buttstock?
Yep, sure is!
Mine has been great so far but only 20 rounds through it.
what red dot is that
Why is there never any love for Garrett cartridges?
Can you put the entire build of this rifle?
The new factory Marlin Dark
Aimpoint Micro H-2
JMAC HRD
SilencerCo Hybrid 46M
Ranger Point Precision 6-shot Quiver
HopticUSA 2-shot Quiver
When does this gun release?
Already has.
That rifle is fuckin sick
Oh yeah 😎👍

Thank you!! Yep, it’s a factory Marlin handguard 👍

this video would be more informative with bullet speeds

@@buildhuntxplore This was just advice, in order for the channel to be watched more, you need to invest in it
LOL I just built a $30,000 studio for it. I'd say that's investing in it.
