When we were planning our move, Eagle came out as the logical top Idaho choice. This Boise suburb checks a lot of boxes and makes a lot of sense. For us, however, home prices and taxes made a neighboring state slightly more desirable.
I love Eagle, ID, just moved here from Marxist Oregon. No I am not a Marxist, love God and his laws, love freedom, and a veteran.

I'm so glad I moved away from the Eagle/Meridian/Boise rat-race. The further you move away, the less traffic and bottlenecks. New house within 5 minutes of work was also a real plus.
I think Eagle Idaho is beautiful and I'm definitely thinking about moving there.. At the same time I think about all the people moving from California to Idaho who voted California into the position it is today.. imagine when they turn Idaho into California.
The politics in California ARE terrible. But this doesn't mean that everyone from there voted a certain way or your new neighbors are individually responsible for the awful policies that forced them to leave the Golden State. Since the influx, Idaho is polling more red now than ever, and blue AZ and NV are flipping.
I heard they are building out the main drag from Eagle to I 84.
garage neighbors ? not everybody wants to socialize and make friends.
I know my neighbors around the block from walking the dog, but most people remember the dog's name, not mine.
LOL. "Garage people" phenomenon is just a California survival habit. It's a protective posture taken when surrounded by addict zombies and recently released violent felons. Obviously, this is not needed in Eagle.

Every one I know that lives in eagle regrets it because it takes forever to get anywhere.
Everywhere is congested at certain times if you need to go anywhere these days!
We just scouted there. I couldn’t stomach the traffic. Couldn’t do it. Didn’t buy there.
I placed a flag on my new home and the wind ripped it apart. I removed it out of respect.
Alcohol addicts, I am not flattered that Eagle consumes more alcohol in the state.
I definitely would not describe Eagle Idaho as a place where a ton of alcohol is consumed. What I meant was, this restaurant in particular is very, very busy. A lot of celebrations, etc…more to make the point that people go out and spend time dining together here in Eagle vs other places.
Everyone I know that lives there just drinks. All the time

Technically you’re correct. But, as far as the community and life living is concerned it makes much more sense to say ‘Eagle’ so that those who are unfamiliar with the landscape here have a grasp on the community. If we say ‘Boise’ people think of something totally different. This is why we encourage people to schedule a zoom call. We go over a map with them. 👍🏻
